Terminator Salvation is a 2009 American science fiction post-apocalyptic war film set for release on May 21, 2009 in the United States, June 3, 2009 in the UK, and June 4, 2009 in Australia. Directed by McG, it is the fourth film in the Terminator series and stars Christian Bale as John Connor and Sam Worthington as Marcus Wright, a cyborg who believes he is human. It also introduces a young version of the first film's hero, Kyle Reese, played by Anton Yelchin, and depicts the origins of the T-800 Model 101 Terminator, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Roland Kickinger. Being both a sequel and a prequel to the previous films, Salvation, set in 2018, focuses on the war between humanity and Skynet. It abandons the format of previous entries in the series, which only revolved around Terminators and various other characters traveling through time to either kill or protect John Connor before the events of Judgment Day unfold.

Connor doit découvrir si Marcus a été envoyé du futur ou s'il est un rescapé du passé. Alors que Skynet prépare l'assaut final, Connor et Marcus s'engagent dans une odyssée qui va les mener au cœur même des opérations de Skynet. Terminator Salvation is a 2009 American military science fiction action film directed by McG, starring Christian Bale and Sam Worthington, with Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common, Michael Ironside and Helena Bonham Carter in supporting roles. It is the fourth installment of the Terminator film series. In a departure from the previous installments, which were set between 1984 and 2004 and used time travel as a key plot element, Salvation is a post-apocalyptic film set in the year 2018, fourteen years after the events of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. It focuses on the war between Skynet's machine network and humanity, as the remnants of the world's military have organized to form the Resistance to fight against Skynet's killing machines. Bale portrays John Connor, Resistance fighter and central character to the franchise, while Worthington portrays cyborg Marcus Wright. Yelchin plays a young Kyle Reese, a character first introduced in The Terminator, and the film depicts the origins of the T-800 (Model 101) Terminator.
After a troubled pre-production, with The Halcyon Company acquiring the rights for the franchise from Andrew G. Vajna and Mario Kassar and several writers working on the screenplay, filming began in May 2008 in New Mexico and ran for 77 days. Terminator Salvation was released on May 21, 2009, in the United States and Canada, followed by early June releases in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Warner Bros. handled the North American release while Columbia Pictures handled the international release. The film grossed over $371 million worldwide and was met with mixed reviews. A reboot of the film franchise occurred with the release of Terminator Genisys in 2015.

5 January 2013 - Received an SMS from the toy shop in Kuala Lumpur that the Terminator T800 Deluxe Version that I had pre-ordered last April 2012 had arrived so I drove three hours to Kuala Lumpur and returned home on the same day! Since I went to KL, I went toy shopping from three Toys R Us!
