New & old Terminal, plane landing etc
update 16.4.22
The defunct Multilevel Car park at Goa Dabolim Airport finally gets nod from BCAS (Security).
The same likely to be inaugurated soon (NT).
Completed multi-level car parking building was standing there for last 10 years (Pic Feb. 2014)
Work on the Rs. 200 crore new terminal building project including car park was started in June 2010 and was expected to complete in 24 months (June 2012) but the new terminal actually thrown open in 2014 when work was still going on.
The car park (building) has capacity of 565 cars.
Goa Dabolim Airport handles upto 110 flights a day.
When New Mopa Airport starts in August 2022, number of flights handling at Dabolim may reduce to half as Mopa will be restrictions free airport (24 hrs landing/Departure).
VIE's 3rd new terminal, a huge structure of endless glass corridors and gates. Originally named "Skylink", after it became a millions of Euros "grave" during the building process, it was re-named upon opening, to distract from the negative assocations clinging to its former name. (Pity. I liked "Skylink")

Late night at Inverness airport. Not the crispest of shots (taken with the iPhone), but more a reminder to me to go and get a better shot like this on a future date.
Drilled and countersunk holes for the back panel and attached the terminals for the speaker wire. The port tube will be in that large hole soon.
The scale of the operations at the terminals is hard to comprehend. And the incredible disparity of imports vs. exports, TVs, clothes, cars and computers coming in vs. scrap paper, plastic and metal going out, doesn't seem to bode well for us.
(Doesn't this also look right out of GTA?)
The San Francisco Transbay Terminal is going to be torn down, so we did a photowalk of the old 1930's building before the opportunity was missed.
This a shot of the double escalators at the terminal.

BER Berlin Airport still under construction hosted an open to public day. It was possible to roam around freely on the airfield. The shot itself is a panorama of 7 HDR pictures that were pre processed in PSCS5 HDR Pro with the gamma curve turne up to an absurd level. Originally by accident, I liked the look and came back to reprocess the entire image this way. It reflects well with the yet unaltered and clear airfield in front of the terminal before all the gear moves in.
