Regular viewers will know the I'm a real hi-fi buff/bore.
Whatever you're views take it from me that these little speakers offer the best bang for buck I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot of gear in my day...
Georgous looking with a sound to match they'll cost you about £500 new but you'll get them cheaper on Ebay. Be prepared to pay up to £380 for a good set. You'll also need a powerful amp to get the best from them. We found a ten year old Arcam thru Ebay for £388. 100 watts per channel. This bad boy cost £1200 new, so a real bargain.
Exquisitly detailed with really articulate midrange and treble, due to their Nautilus derived tweeter, their bass extension is mindblowing considering their size. Just look at how deep they are though. Product design students should note the use of Kevlar for the bass driver. Almost completely rigid and very light. The tweeter is the cherry on the cake though. It is what you're really paying the money for.
Look great too in white I think. These have been biwired to the Arcam FMJ 22 with Chord Rumor cable, two runs, terminated with IXOS plugs at both ends, and the sound is breathtaking for the money. Seriously, I was blown away by how good my brother's system sounds. All bought second hand or ex dem it cost £750 but the components are worth £1600 at their rrp price.
Needless to say, my brother is delighted! So am I. I can't wait to get back round to hear them again...

I'm baaaaack! My computer is baaaack! After a month of frustration (bourbon may or may not have assisted me in alleviating this), my computer is back, new (and more) memory and, I hope, ready for at least another five years of heavy use.
I want to thank the fellas at Élan Techologies in Columbus for fixing up my laptop. They did a good job and were friendly, helpful folks to work with. Thank you, gentlemen!

I imagine that, the dwindling Empire turns to AI to bolster their forces after the fall of the second Death Star. This TIE/d combines cutting edge imperial- and forgotten Clone Wars techology to produce a formidable opponent for the New Republic's X-wings.

The amp provides 55 watts pc and that's enough for rocking the whole house and neighbors. A three-stage impedance matching for phono input is something special. Two phono inputs were already standard at Technics amplifiers.
There are some days that I really hate the internet and today is one of them. This web was so fine that without the sun shining behind it, it was invisible. There is some junk stuck in the web which is appropriate as it represents the worst of the internet. You, my friends, are represented by the fine glowing threads. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Taken for our daily challenge - sticky

I initially thought to use Microphen, but then realising that I'm working with a slow film, maybe a developer better suited for that would be best. That settled me on Perceptol instead; of course, there was then the thought to over-expose and pull in development. Thankfully I didn't go that route and shot the film at ASA-50, and I'm glad I did; the results were clean, good contrast, tonal separation and super sharp. Certainly a winning combination.
A note for my viewers, these rolls of film were purchased before the brutal and illegal invasion of Ukraine ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin. After careful investigation and communication, I have found no connection between the people behind Silberra and those connected to the Russian President. Glory to Ukraine and prayers for the defenders and peace!

CSX local B721-19 is seen passing through one of the most unique locations in New England, Main Street in Cambridge along the Grand Junction Running Track. At this location, trains can be seen running underneath the Massachusetts Institute of Techology's Brain and Cognitive Science building. Although mostly utilized by the MBTA and Amtrak to move equipment from the north to the south sides, CSX uses the track every afternoon Sunday through Thursday.
Some OCs that serve as a sneak peek for the next episode of “A Wonderful World” series that I’m making.

Coming strong out of the gate with the first roll. I'll admit these were not the results I had been expecting. I expected a lot more contrast and plenty of grain. But I think Silberra has a winner with this stock, sharp, fine-grained, and perfect contrast. I can't wait to see what the rest of the developers can do with this film!

The Space Shuttle orbiter Endeavour and its crew of six glide in to Runway 15 at Kennedy Space Center's (KSC's) Shuttle Landing Facility after spending nine days in space on the STS-72 mission, the first Shuttle flight of 1996. It is the eighth night landing of the Shuttle since the program began in 1981, but only the third night landing at KSC. Highlights of the mission were the retrieval of the Japanese Space Flyer Unit (SFU), the deployment and retrieval of NASA's Office of Aeronauts and Space Techology-Flyer (OAST-Flyer), and two Extravehicular Activities (EVA's) or spacewalks.
