On Wednesday, January 31, 2007, Delta re-lit the famous Atlanta 'Fly Delta Jets' neon sign above the TechOps center at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). This event was made extra special with the announcement that US Airways withdrew their hostile and unsolicited bid to takeover Delta after the official bankruptcy creditors failed to back their offer.
This sign was installed in 1968.
