Over 2 years since taking delivery of their first Airbus A321neos, Delta Air Lines continue to amass a large quantity of the type with further deliveries in the coming years.
Primarily used on the bulk of their short-haul flights ranging both from domestic and international routes, they are their flagship narrow-body aircraft of choice. Fitted with Pratt & Whitney PW1133G-JM engines, Delta hasn't suffered from the large spate of groundings faced with the engines thanks in large part of their TechOps maintenance division.
With Delta Air Lines due to celebrate their 100th anniversary in 2025, one Airbus A321neo alongside an Airbus A350-900 have been chosen to feature a special colour scheme to mark the occasion. Whilst all Airbus A321neos so far have been fitted with their typical domestic cabins of Main Cabin, Comfort+ and First Class seating, a number of future aircraft will be fitted with more premium cabins with First Class removed in favour of Delta One and Premium Select seating to be utilised on their more premium transcontinental flights.
Out of the big 3 carriers in the United States, Delta is the only one so far not to have opted by the longer range Airbus A321XLRs unlike American Airlines and United Airlines who both have 50 examples on-order.
Currently, Delta Air Lines operates 308 Airbus A320 family aircraft, which includes 57 Airbus A319s, 55 Airbus A320s, 127 Airbus A321s and 69 Airbus A321neos. Delta Air Lines have 86 Airbus A321neos on-order.
November Five Three Zero Delta Echo is one of 69 Airbus A321neos operated by Delta Air Lines, delivered new to the carrier on 9th February 2023 and she is powered by 2 Pratt & Whitney PW1133G-JM engines.

Walking through the Delta Tech-Ops hangars we found this former Zoom Airlines 767-300 sitting in the paint hanger. Before being leased out to Zoom by ILFC it was a local for me, operating as PH-BZC by KLM.
Thanks goes out to those who made this tour possible.

Delta ticket agents man the booths to get tickets reissued to stranded passengers in Atlanta. The last time I was stuck in Atlanta due to weather all of these ticket booths were vacant. It was nice to see the six folks on this side and four on the other to be there to offer some sort of help. Though with the number of people needing help I still stood in line for three hours before talking to an agent. (I was on the phone for two and a half hours trying to get a resolution before I got to the end of the line, but the person on the phone was stuck on hold with another department needed to approve the new ticket for Sunday. All this when I was flying Friday. My way out happened to be the Standby flight on Saturday I received from one of these ticket agents).
Even the TechOps folks from Delta were out this day handing out snacks and water to people.
