Tech Wars was held October 22, 2014 at Valley City State University in Valley City, ND. It was a competition between 40 university students from VCSU. Topics included Raspberry Pi, GPS Treasure Hunt, and software programming with MIT's Scratch environment. Teams were rewarded points based on software requirements criteria and speed. Winners received tablet computers, Best Buy gift card, or an iPod Shuffle for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place.

In 2009, I was asked by Indiana Tech's women's soccer coach to photograph soccer games. It was my first paying gig and it was pretty sweet. These are some of my favorites.
There was nothing like driving down memory lane during homecoming weekend at Georgia Institute of Technology (GT) where I put in five years of educational and football dedication. With the elegance and sporty nature of a Bering Blue 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe captivating studious onlookers, I took my time perusing the names and features of my alma mater's high-tech buildings and facilities from the student center to the library to the dorms. Thirty years later, witnessing the stellar partnership between GT and Korean automakers Hyundai Motor America and Genesis Motor America made the return even more gratifying.

Robots were in action on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Penn State York when 35 teams of middle and high school students took part in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) South Central PA Regional Qualifier, a robotics competition. More than 500 attendees, including competitors, volunteers, and spectators attended the event. The winning alliance, comprised of three teams, were the Javengers from Enola, Pennsylvania; Cubix^3 from Hampstead, Maryland; and Sparks from Villanova, Pennsylvania. The finalist alliance, or second place winners, included Imagine It from Palmyra, Pennsylvania; Metal Works from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and GearHounds, from York, Pennsylvania. This was the seventh time the campus has hosted an FTC event.
TechTalks took place in March of 2014 in Tampa Florida and set the stage for innovative thinking and addressed questions such as, “How will you embrace technology to stay competitive, solve current and future business challenges, and most importantly, feed a growing, global population?”
