The old faithfull bedside lamp and black card.

Ok, the lamp is really hi-tech, touch control with three levels of illumination, wow. 😁

The #FlickrFriday #Tech challenge

Pictured, window lit from the left, is some tech of yesteryear. This is a treadle spinning wheel, driven by a foot treadle linked to a crankshaft, leaving both hands free to manipulate the fibres to create a yarn. Correctly or otherwise I'd associate this item with the production of wool from which principally clothing would emerge. Although I haven't a clue how to use it, this one appears to work inasmuch as pressing and releasing the treadle repeatedly turns the wheel. Wicki suggests that items such as these increased the production of thread tenfold.

To reflect the subject matter I used some hi-tech Photoshop magic to add a sepia tone and grain for a retro effect

Built this a while ago and shared it on Twitter, totally forgot about Flickr. Based on Galo's mech from the PROMARE movie from studio Trigger.

A toy "Tech Deck" skateboard of my son's. The whole thing is about the size of my thumb. This was taken with the Raynox DCR-250 close up lens added to the 50mm. Very shallow DoF. Just natural light coming from the right.

i want to take a moment and say the following:

I deeply apologize for the lack of support to V-Tech community but there is a good reason why and im going to explain.

I love and i adore the V-Tech community you all are so kind and amazing human begin and you all take a bit of your precious time to leave me amazing messages that makes me keep going and im so grateful for that, is what makes me enjoy doing V-Tech sizes, however lately my RL turn around (for the good) and ive been extremely busy with very little time left for any other sizes (others then the ones i provide) and because as you know the chest is flat you cannot have shadows on the texture, meaning i have to re bake and tweak the texture and this is not a 5 minutes work as i want to give quality and because of this i was obligated to drop it for now and i am sorry :( . However the good news is that soon everything will go back to normal and im 100% sure from next year i will have the time for V-Tech <3 <3

The Clumsy Creature (aka Jar Jar Binks) has accidentally released an ancient evil and the villain soon gathered an army to resume his plans of conquest.

However a very long time has passed since the last time they waged war and the universe has changed a lot.

So they enlisted Jar Jar as guide.

The villain ordered two of his warriors to train performing some brutal attack and plundering, so they turned to Jar Jar for an advice.

“Heyo, yousa bombad guys. Mesa have easy target for yousa bombad warriors. A guy like yousa: half machine and half, ehm how do yousa say?”

“An organic being with technological enhancements like ourselves! That’s amazing! I remember they old good days when we slaughtered those of our species who stood in our way! Let’s make this painful… for him! Mwah ha ha!” Said the highest ranking warrior of the two.

However it appears that guy is actually Victor Stone, aka Cyborg, and the two evil henchmen don’t stand a chance against the ultimate tech hero.

Well, that’s what happens when you listen to Jar Jar lol :)

Cyborg action figure in another Square Enix Play Arts Kai figure from my collection.

The bigger Bionicle figure is the Skull Warrior while the smaller is a promotional set from several years ago known as Duracell Bad Guy.

At first I thought to take a full photo of him and the Bionicle figures but I noticed cropping it a little made the photo better, focusing it more on the action :)

It was easy to keep the Bionicle figures in their positions as I was taking photos.

Let me know what you think, my friends :) I hope you like it :)

No, not a Santa cyborg.

Some fun with a new South by Southwest concept this year called The New Aesthetic. My brother, who is VP for Sony/Epic Music, goes there to sign artists....it is such a HUGE venue for music, but they also have a lot of interesting conferences on conceptual imagery and technology trends. It would be my dream to go there and meet with him one year---each in our own special artistic worlds. This is my original take on the new genre of worlds colliding. Having a lot of fun with these! :) Please do not copy.

I used to work in a tech support office some years ago; it wasn't very organized...

After seeing Studio Trigger's latest film PROMARE, I knew I had to build something for it. I know other people have built this little guy before but I wanted to try building one for myself. Introducing Galo's stylized rescue mech, the Matoi Tech!

Really not much to say here build-wise. I threw it together in less than a day and could've done with some better pieces but I made do with what I had. It's a decently poseable little bot but it does require a stand in order to... well... stand. It does fit Galo, or at least his upper half as there's really no way to fit a minifigure's legs in there the same way they are on the original design, so some suspension of disbelief is required (not as much as you need when watching the film, though!)

I threw in some pictures of the inner frame as well if anyone is interested in replicating this. I probably made it more complicated than I needed to but I like the more mechanical look.
