Lady Emma Hamilton rose photographed by available light today using a Sony A7ii and a Helios - 44M - 4 manual lens. The camera is about a month old, the lens approximately 25 years old, yet they marry up perfectly on a £12 adapter. Perfect union of old tech and new.

365 Day 262. Gramophone porn...sorry, But this is the newest addition to my collection, Columbia Grafanola No. 204e..playing a bit of Fats Waller...Mmm.
After seeing Studio Trigger's latest film PROMARE, I knew I had to build something for it. I know other people have built this little guy before but I wanted to try building one for myself. Introducing Galo's stylized rescue mech, the Matoi Tech!
Really not much to say here build-wise. I threw it together in less than a day and could've done with some better pieces but I made do with what I had. It's a decently poseable little bot but it does require a stand in order to... well... stand. It does fit Galo, or at least his upper half as there's really no way to fit a minifigure's legs in there the same way they are on the original design, so some suspension of disbelief is required (not as much as you need when watching the film, though!)
I threw in some pictures of the inner frame as well if anyone is interested in replicating this. I probably made it more complicated than I needed to but I like the more mechanical look.

The Clumsy Creature (aka Jar Jar Binks) has accidentally released an ancient evil and the villain soon gathered an army to resume his plans of conquest.
The Clumsy Creature (aka Jar Jar Binks) has accidentally released an ancient evil and the villain soon gathered an army to resume his plans of conquest.
However a very long time has passed since the last time they waged war and the universe has changed a lot.
So they enlisted Jar Jar as guide.
The villain ordered two of his warriors to train performing some brutal attack and plundering, so they turned to Jar Jar for an advice.
“Heyo, yousa bombad guys. Mesa have easy target for yousa bombad warriors. A guy like yousa: half machine and half, ehm how do yousa say?”
“An organic being with technological enhancements like ourselves! That’s amazing! I remember they old good days when we slaughtered those of our species who stood in our way! Let’s make this painful… for him! Mwah ha ha!” Said the highest ranking warrior of the two.
However it appears that guy is actually Victor Stone, aka Cyborg, and the two evil henchmen don’t stand a chance against the ultimate tech hero.
Well, that’s what happens when you listen to Jar Jar lol :)
Cyborg action figure in another Square Enix Play Arts Kai figure from my collection.
The bigger Bionicle figure is the Skull Warrior while the smaller is a promotional set from several years ago known as Duracell Bad Guy.
At first I thought to take a full photo of him and the Bionicle figures but I noticed cropping it a little made the photo better, focusing it more on the action :)
It was easy to keep the Bionicle figures in their positions as I was taking photos.
Let me know what you think, my friends :) I hope you like it :)

Some fun with a new South by Southwest concept this year called The New Aesthetic. My brother, who is VP for Sony/Epic Music, goes there to sign artists....it is such a HUGE venue for music, but they also have a lot of interesting conferences on conceptual imagery and technology trends. It would be my dream to go there and meet with him one year---each in our own special artistic worlds. This is my original take on the new genre of worlds colliding. Having a lot of fun with these! :) Please do not copy.

A second shot from my Rannoch Moor excursion the other day.
When I got to Rannoch Moor, it looked like the trip was going to be a dead loss, the cloud was pretty bad - so I fell asleep.
When I woke, there was a hint of colour in the clouds, so I geared up and went down to the loch and found this awesome rock with a line of quartz running through it.
I have done very little to this shot during the processing stage - mainly a custom white balance to counter filter cast. The conditions just turned out to be this awesome!

I know I barely post on here anymore, sorry! The majority of my content has moved over to Twitter as it's simply easier to communicate with y'all. I'll upload here more often!
