DATA PRIVACY AND PROTECTION IN THE AGE OF A.I.
As A.I. continues to offer exciting opportunities for businesses, there’s a growing tension between innovation and the regulatory, ethical, and security risks surrounding the technology. Senior leaders will need to balance innovation against these risks as regulators turn their attention to A.I. and more companies deploy models trained on public and proprietary data—all while being transparent with customers on how their data is used and protected. We explore the ways that senior leaders are using innovations in data, analytics, and A.I. to drive efficient, sustainable growth, mitigate risk, and bolster security.

Robots were in action on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Penn State York when 35 teams of middle and high school students took part in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) South Central PA Regional Qualifier, a robotics competition. More than 500 attendees, including competitors, volunteers, and spectators attended the event. The winning alliance, comprised of three teams, were the Javengers from Enola, Pennsylvania; Cubix^3 from Hampstead, Maryland; and Sparks from Villanova, Pennsylvania. The finalist alliance, or second place winners, included Imagine It from Palmyra, Pennsylvania; Metal Works from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and GearHounds, from York, Pennsylvania. This was the seventh time the campus has hosted an FTC event.
