Lt. Governor Rutherford Visits Tech Ops by Patrick Siebert at 218 Log Canoe Cir, Stevensville, MD 21666
With the support of the Champaign County Economic Development Corporation and Fox/Atkins Development, LLC we are pleased to be hosting TECH cocktail Champaign on September 25, 2008.
Demoers at the event included: Autonomic Materials,
Cazoodle, ISS, Network Geographics,
NPL Associates, Inc. and Snap and Buy.
Robots were in action on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Penn State York when 35 teams of middle and high school students took part in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) South Central PA Regional Qualifier, a robotics competition. More than 500 attendees, including competitors, volunteers, and spectators attended the event. The winning alliance, comprised of three teams, were the Javengers from Enola, Pennsylvania; Cubix^3 from Hampstead, Maryland; and Sparks from Villanova, Pennsylvania. The finalist alliance, or second place winners, included Imagine It from Palmyra, Pennsylvania; Metal Works from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and GearHounds, from York, Pennsylvania. This was the seventh time the campus has hosted an FTC event.

Tech Trek is a two-day camp for students entering grades 7 through 9. They participate in fun hands-on, exploratory activities related to technical careers. The campers this year had a great time exploring careers and having fun!
