Wild Teasal Dipsacus fullonum is a tall growing biennial plant that can grow nearly 2 meters in height. The whole plant is very thorny.

Wirksworth Ivanhoe striker Tom Mellor teases the Woodhouse Colts defence at Wirksworth Recreation Ground during a see-saw 3-3 draw in Division One (Central) of the Central Midlands League.
Ivanhoe must be wondering how they let victory slip in a third-versus-second meeting of teams with 100 per cent winning league records. The mobile Mellor netted in the fourth, 34th and 37th minutes to put the hosts in an apparently commanding position. Respectively, his efforts were a back post volley, a near post drive - after three shots had been blocked by Woodhouse defenders - and a cute lob in a one-on-one.
When, four minutes into the second half, referee Tim Walker awarded Ivanhoe a penalty - for a trip on the omnipresent Mellor - the outcome looked a foregone conclusion. But Matthew Leask's spot-kick was saved by Cam Barke, diving to his right. From then on, Wirksworth rather lost their way.
Helped by a goalkeeping error, Baillie Hajman (53mins) fired in a 25-yard free-kick to give Forest Town Arena-based Woodhouse some hope. An unmarked Jordan Glenn (74mins) reduced the deficit further with a 10-yard header. Then, in the fifth and last minute of stoppage time, Ryan Clarke, capitalising on more poor marking, got on the end of a cross at the far post to nod home the equaliser from six yards. Cue wild celebrations in the visiting camp.
