Diane helps Doris with the drawers

45mm f/9.0 1/20sec ISO100

This is my favorite shot from the river today.

Went back to the river today to pan the rafts. I set the shutter speed to 1/20-1/25sec this time but not all objects were crisp. Plus the raft movement (horizontal and vertical) made it difficult to put everything in focus. The background was slightly blurred from the panning, but it didn't give too much sense of movement.

Pass up that piece

Yesterday, when I was visiting a construction site for my work, I was happy to have brought my camera with me, so I could make a photo of this scene.

These two workmen were still on site when their co-workers were already gone. The building was already quite dark, but the welding illuminated the scene vividly.

I really like the sparks, of course, but I also like how the light falls on the man on the ladder and espacially how the face of the man standing on the right is illuminated by the light of the welding.
