Mom and Pop were very busy finding something in the grass and then they would fly away, low down, to the next yard to stash them. Winter coming?

DolceVita and Euphorialis are a surreal musical duo who blend jazz, electro-swing, and cinematic soundscapes into a vibrant, dreamlike performance. Formed in the heart of a neon-lit city, the two met by chance during a midnight street parade. DolceVita, a charismatic trumpeter known for his theatrical flair, and Euphorialis, a precise and enigmatic drummer, instantly recognized each other’s rhythm.

Their signature look—vintage military coats, brass buttons, and the mysterious fez marked by an eye—symbolizes their belief that music is a form of vision. Every note, every beat, reveals hidden layers of emotion and story.

On stage, they are a spectacle of movement and sound. DolceVita’s trumpet glows like liquid gold, weaving melodies that twist through Euphorialis’ hypnotic percussion. Their performances often feel like rituals—half concert, half dream—where audiences lose themselves in sound and light.

Their debut album, Midnight Parade, tells stories of forgotten carnivals and electric love, combining analog warmth with digital pulse. Critics call them “architects of auditory illusion.”

For DolceVita and Euphorialis, music isn’t just to be heard—it’s to be seen, felt, and lived. Together, they create a world where rhythm breathes and melody remembers.

Crazy Tuesday: Candy

The summer holidays just got even better for this trio of friends! Out and about in the sunshine, they find a giant candy cone in the grass. A sugary feast awaits if they can just lug it onto the table.

Candy: Ozmo Cornet (chocolate-filled waffle cone)

Kids and table: Playmobil

Lawn: artificial grass

When Anita and I go out adventuring, she is always the driver and I the rider. Which is a good working arrangement (for me) because I get to take many more photos! But sometimes there is something I see on her side of the vehicle that I can't get so I hand my camera to her and she takes the shot, composing it as she likes. This is one of those shots. I nice country scene taken by Anita on my camera. :)

Two CSX crews, an NS coal train, and a CSX pusher all on the KD made for a very cool experience!

When Dougie and Cal saw the shot of the Dodge Challenger online a few days back, they were shocked and embarrassed about not having noticed the missing mirror, so they dragged the tool-boxes around and put in a quiet all-nighter down at the Ferrari workshop. Pleased to report, the mirror has been repaired and replaced! Good work lads!

Attending our first Fleet Week in San Francisco, the 2023 iteration, sitting by the San Francisco Bay watching the amazing Fleet Week Air Show sponsored by United Airlines. Since relocating to this coast of the country, I’ve probably attended as many airshows as I had ever attended in the east and this by far was the most astounding that I attended. This was the first time that I got to see and photograph the Navy Blue Angels squad. Celebrating their 77th year, started in 1946, the Blue Angels demonstrate the precision, teamwork, coordination and power of naval aviation, flown by the United States Navy and Marine Corps.
