The Great Globular Cluster in Hercules - an ideal target when there are only a few hours of darkness and a bright full Moon to contend with. M13, as it's usually known, is a well-known object and I've imaged it several times before but not for a long time and not with the current set-up. I think it looks better than previous attempts even though the object appears smaller due to the shorter focal length.

Messier 13 (M13) or NGC 6205 is a globular cluster located 22,200 light years away in the constellation Hercules. It contains about 300,000 stars and it's mass is estimated to be about half a million solar masses with a diameter of 145 light years. M13 is estimated to be 11.65 billion years old.

The small object above M13, near the top of the image, is NGC 6207, a spiral galaxy about 30 million light years away from Earth. For those with sharp eyes there is another galaxy between NGC 6207 and M13, IC 4617. This object is estimated to be approximately 489 million light years away.

Sigue tu sentido común

No puedes esconderte

Detrás de un cuento de hadas por siempre y para siempre

Sólo revelando toda la verdad podemos liberar

El alma de esta prision por siempre y para siempre

Por siempre y para siempre

mentes adoctrinadas a menudo

Tienen pensamientos enfermos

No puedes esconderte

No puedes esconderte

Detrás de un cuento de hadas por siempre y para siempre

Sólo revelando toda la verdad podemos liberar

El alma de esta prision por siempre y para siempre

Por siempre y para siempre

No puedes seguir escondiéndote

Detrás de cuentos de hadas pasados de moda

Y quedar lavándose las manos en inocencia.

This is the mature buck I'm pursuing from my hide. I only got three frames this morning in deep shade and he was on the move following a doe. I created a fake scrape here and the younger bucks are all over it, but the old bucks are old for a reason. Hope to get this buck in some decent light soon. The season is not over. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

I like how it came out finally. I was literally chasing him! It was a rainy day, was bored so took my best friend (then it was a Nikon D80, I am waiting for the Beast!) for a walk and got this along the way! Rainy day, overcast of gray, this never is easy condition for me for photography.

This is from my archives yet again. I was trying out the Nikon 105mm Micro. Like my friend said Here it is orgasmic. Love it.

Gear used: Camera: Nikon D80, Exposure: 1/160, Aperture: f/3.5, Focal Length: 105 mm, ISO 125, Exposure Manual, Photoshop for Processing.

Took a walk down from the Green Park tube station area to Vauxhall and went a slightly different route to usual, past this interesting piece of 20th century architecture at 66 St James's Street.

Designed by the British Modernist architect Rodney Gordon and opened back in 1984 ...

Interesting to look back now in this shot nothing remains bus wise, the midi Dart from Citybus was an early Dart casualty considering its age, suffering an fire and was stripped for spares. Blue Flash and First (in any great numbers) no longer exist nor does Target stripped of its operators licence back in early 2020.

The Summer 54 service to Bovisand is crying out to be open top to realise the potential of the route, sadly its been single deck for year and a battered old Dart was all that was good for it in this throw back shot.

Back at the established hideout at De Smet, we posted up to wait for our day gas to depart. Dispatch however had other ideas, that being to send this coal train first before routing the day gas behind him along the river subdivision. If we hadn’t already established that the gas train would be the target, we might have fallen for this bait, but instead we left this crew in peace as they began their trip west.

The daily Grand Elk local makes its way back towards Three Rivers and eventually Kalamazoo after working several customers in Bristol, Indiana. The NYC target light signals on a large section of this line were the primary focus of the trip and we were able to shoot trains with almost all of them. The pair of ex CN Canadian cab Geeps made this Canuck feel a little bit at home during this chase.

About Waves

A wave is a disturbance that propagates through space and time, usually with transference of energy. A mechanical wave is a wave that propagates or travels through a medium due to the restoring forces it produces upon deformation. There also exist waves capable of traveling through a vacuum, including electromagnetic radiation and probably gravitational radiation. Waves travel and transfer energy from one point to another, often with no permanent displacement of the particles of the medium (that is, with little or no associated mass transport); they consist instead of oscillations or vibrations around almost fixed locations.
