Spotted at the Ollies in Aberdeen MD which happens to be a former Jamesway store. This cart is an oddball since it still has all of it's Target markings. I wonder why this one did not have it's lettering removed. Maybe it strayed away from the Target up the road and has lived here since.
The majority of Ollies carts are from Target, but have Target painted over.
Mission report - Private Ivan Velus - Ilum assignment
'Command had stationed us on Ilum, guarding a small landing platform. Just the three of us and the commander. Stationed on this freezing hellhole. I keep telling myself this is for the good of the Empire. Yes. It is for the benefit of the Galaxy that we're here. God knows why we're here though. The true purpose of imperial occupation is still a mystery to me, and the commander is dismissive of any questions.
Some detachments were given snow suit prototypes. We were given heat packs that did little to keep the cold out. Dex, one of the clones, kept droning on about how, back in his day, no soldier went cold. I pointed out that, in his day, soldiers fought alongside traitors and manipulators. That shut him up.
There'd been rumours of rebel activity near some bases. Jedi too. In fact, we received a message on the holo-table from one of the higher ups that a Jedi had been spotted near our location. I'd thought the Jedi all but extinct, but, evidently, that's not the case.
But this cold. Whatever the reason we're here, it had better be for a damn good one.'

These swift little swallows sparrow not speed to avoid getting their picture taken. I am not sure which they are , but they made for a fun afternoon of BIF shooting

Target:M51 Whirlpool Galaxy an interacting spiral galaxy in the constellation of Canes Venatici about 31 million light years away.
Location:30/03/21, St Helens, UK, Bortle 8, 98% Moon.
Aquisition:10x 240s Ha, 60x 60s Lum, 17x 120s Red, 18x 120s Green, 15x 120s Blue. Gain400 Offset40 Bin2x2 Total Integration 3h 20m.
Equipment:Imaging: Skywatcher Explorer 200P, HEQ5 Pro, Baader Mk3 Coma Corrector with LPro, Altair Hypercam 183 M pro, Zwo EFWmini & filter set.
Guiding: Skywatcher 9x50 Finder with ZWO ASI120MC.
Software:Capture: Astroberry with Ekos
Processing: Affinity Photo, Starnet++
Memories:First time using Astroberry-Ekos so really a familiarisation and settings tweaking session. Also first project stacked and processed entirely in Affinity Photo and Starnet++. DeepSkyStacker would not work with the Ha Subs but Affinity had no trouble. Successful outcome but HEQ5 Pro struggling with 13.3Kg payload (limit 11Kg for imaging), EQ6R Pro already on wishlist.
And now a few extra photos to round us out for tonight... first, some news that isn't really retail-related at all (barring the Horn Lake Target photo I pulled from my archives to throw up here with it) but that is exciting for me nonetheless: DeSoto County is finally rolling out curbside recycling services for its unincorporated residents!! Here's an article on that from the DeSoto Times-Tribune; that piece mentions that securing the contract took “'hours and hours,'” but getting recycling for the county has really been something the local officials have been going after for years upon years now (full disclosure: I am a resident of the unincorporated county). Sounds like we'll be switching providers – again – to make this a reality, but I'm just glad this has finally come to fruition. I've been waiting for this for a long time. (I even briefly considered trying to figure out how to work with the appropriate government peoples to get this done for my honors college volunteer hours, that's how much I've been eagerly awaiting this outcome.) The cities of Hernando, Southaven, Olive Branch, and Horn Lake all offer curbside recycling alongside regular trash pickup for all of their residents; only unincorporated DeSoto County has never gotten this treatment – until now! Additionally, this move also makes DeSoto County the first county in all of Mississippi to offer curbside recycling services to 100% of its residents.
I forget how I got into recycling in the first place, but for years now I've been trying to have us diligently recycle things as best we can without the benefit of curbside pickup, including taking newspapers to the bin behind the high school, plastic bags to Walmart, and bottles and cans (plastic, glass, and aluminum), to Target (as I mentioned at this photo, which would've been a much better background for this description had I not already uploaded it, lol). Seriously – we're a pretty regular sight strolling into Target with our three or four plastic bags' worth of recyclables XD And happy as I am to be able to help the environment by taking all that stuff in to Target and recycling it, it will be considerably more convenient just to store all of our recyclables in one bin at home and take them to the curb each week: so thanks again, DeSoto County!

This store has become a rarity. The other Greatland(now former) in the area is in White Marsh, and that store is now undergoing a renovation....will this store see any changes? Highly unlikely. The extremely outdated neighboring Walmart does a better business.
TARGET located at 2772 Tittabawassee Road, this store opened in 1988 apart of the company's vast expanse into Detroit-area Michigan.
Upon our visit, the store was in the midst of its aggressive remodeling campaign to perform 1,000 stores by 2020 but still contained rare, old 1990's signs which are among the last in state.
Roadsigns in the mountain area on Crete are a commonly used target for shooting.
Some are hit by pretty huge calliber bullets...

can you see the white spot in the water the eagle is aiming for? that's a small hake, floating on the surface after it was brought up by the strong tidal currents (the fish basically get the bends). during the strongest current the fish come popping up like popcorn, a feast for all the eagles.

Rural oddities and abandoned swing sets. Two visual items targeted on my Prairie wish list. However, it's rare I find a makeshift archery range a stones throw from nowhere. Today combat paintball facilities are all the rage.
Only by getting closer did I realize the deer mannequins were frozen in time, and not hypnotized creatures. I was now the photographic hunter.
Weathered swing sets constructed from frayed rope and slat boards usually tug at my imagination. Makeshift playgrounds seemingly sheltered from urban influence and slick groomed city parks, plunked in the overgrown prairie grasses. Now that's a bullseye for the simpler pleasures.
