For this week’s Macro Monday theme, ‘In a bottle’, I decided to go little further than just take a shot. The 40mm glass bottle reflected lights from my windows and it was difficult to get a smooth light. So processed it in Snapseed and then used Tangled FX app to give it a surreal finish.
Rembrandt Tulip Bulbs inspired Tulipmania in Europe in the 17th century, when a single bulb could cost up to $30,000! Guess what happened at the peak? This ended up being the first economic bubble to burst! Contract prices of novelty tulip bulbs reached extraordinarily high levels and then suddenly collapsed. Fortunately those days are over and you can try these tulips yourself at much lower pricing! DutchGrown offers Rembrandt Tulips at wholesale pricing for Fall delivery. 655 Full Monte

This picture suffered from adrenaline shake. To make it a keeper, I artified it with Tangled FX on iPad.
The second log-jam on the Big Salmon River looks passable, but there was a shallow log just under the water surface and I promptly got the canoe stuck on it, giving me a bit of panic to get it free again, without being pushed sideways and flipping over. All went well fortunately, but the log jams on the upper BSR should not be taken lightly.
Situated on the east bank of the Hudson River, the property includes pleasure grounds with views of the river and the distant Catskill Mountains.

Olana State Historic Site was the home of Frederic Edwin Church (1826–1900), one of the major figures in the Hudson River School of landscape painting. The centerpiece of Olana is an eclectic villa composed of many styles, difficult to categorize, which overlooks parkland and a working farm designed by the artist. The residence has a wide view of the Hudson River valley, the Catskill Mountains and the Taconic Range. Church and his wife Isabel (1836–1899) named their estate after a fortress-treasure house in ancient Greater Persia (modern-day Armenia), which also overlooked a river valley.
This is an iPad painting, made on an iPad Pro, with an Apple Pencil. This image went a thousand different directions, with iColorama, Tangled FX, and Percolator. It started as another person, but kept calling out to Kathleen – in the mid nineteen fifties, in Ridgefield, Connecticut, at the Gorham Mansion. It may have been called something else, Kathleen would remember. ”Kathleen will remember'" is something we have been saying for most of my life. I am the five years younger sister, and was a wee one, then.
First, I want to thank you all for your wonderful birthday wishes. Of course, I chose the best selfies out of the one hundred that I took the day before my birthday, who wouldn't, wouldn't you? (these last two questions were stolen from Gershwin's "The Man I Love")
Second, sorry for all these Fall pics, they're so last month, but I have to confess that November 1st, 2015 was the most beautiful Fall day of all my life. I mean ALL MY LIFE! I went crazy, literally. And, as you may have learned by now, cemeteries are one of my very favourite places to visit. Spring and Fall colours in cemeteries are even more spectacular than they usually are, I guess it's the fertilizer!
Thanks again, guys, for being so nice!
