A geometric work, created from my backlit diptych version of Shadowfold "13" made by Robin Scholz. You could say it's another backlit version of that one ;-)

It's very interesting how the image changes again in an almost graphic work.

Shadowsfolds are works of art created by folding cloth in patterns bases on geometric designs.

If you are interested, you can find more information in the book: Shadowfolds - Jeffrey Rutzky and Chris Palmer.

Centaurium erythraea (Gentianaceae) 170 21

Centaurium erythraea is a species of flowering plant in the gentian family known by the common names common centaury and European centaury.

It is a widespread plant of Europe (including Scotland, Sweden, and Mediterranean countries) and parts of western Asia and northern Africa.

This is an erect biennial herb that reaches half a meter in height. It grows from a small basal rosette and bolts a leafy, erect stem with many branches.

The erect inflorescences emerge from the stem and grow parallel to it, sometimes tangling with the foliage. Each inflorescence may contain many flowers. The petite flower is pinkish-lavender. It flowers from June until September.

Tangle Falls tumbles 114 feet (35 meters) over several tiers.

I occasionally get asked how far I had to hike to see the falls.

I left the Parkway in the lower crop to show just how far I had to hike......;-)) Doesn't get any easier than this. Good parking on the other side.

Thanks for your visit!

How often do you have fog in your town? We are having another gloomy start here in Chicago but we are determined not to let that ruin our mood. What I’m happy for is the fact that fog season is on again and hopefully we will be able to catch some of that like the last year! What do you think?

oak tree, in my front garden. high key development gives this a wintry look. it isn't snowing here (never has), but we do what we can to experience the season in a more traditional way ...
