Week 1 (January 4 -10) Repeating patterns.

Soap bubbles in a small flat bottle. Abstract polygon shapes.

This botanical Gordian knot caught my eye in a sunbeam whilst I was photographing fungi. It reminded me of those light doodles people make with torches or sparklers in front of cameras.

Tangle Creek is along the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park. It was an easy 5 minute scramble to get here from the parking area.

It surely seems to be in a very difficult - even hopeless - situation, this tree in the woods round Beisbroek, Flanders. I suppose it must have been the victim of a storm.

We passed it on our walk from Beisbroek, a castle that is now a museum and observatory, to Tudor Castle (see my previous photos). The walk is signposted as 'The Heath Walk'.

The young tree next to it is giving hope for the future.

Shortie was in a bit of a challenging spot trying to get focus with grass in front of it and far away for my 400mm lens but the closest one we seen today. lol!

Taken few months back in Winter, the light is more beautiful than Summer

Pls view in light box- press L or click on the image

Ranganathittu lies just beyond Tipu's Srirangapatna and is, basically, a group of islands in the middle of river Cauvery.

One's first impression of the place is lush thickets of bamboo and bird sound — chirruping, twittering, and cooing... a wonderful experience for a city-dweller.

Yesterday and today.

“It was the old New York way...the way people who dreaded scandal more than disease, who placed decency above courage, and who considered that nothing was more ill-bred than "scenes", except those who gave rise to them. ”

This small, tangled tree stands next to the house at Oakhurst Gardens in Muncie. I can't wait to see what it looks like this spring and summer. The sun came out for a while

yesterday! : )

Finish this old quote with your own line.
