This is another beautiful picture taken på the talented Mia, She studied photography on uni or something when this was taken, also the only known picture of me with my chess-mohawk combi haircut it was actually far easier than one thinks to make, I just needed two mirrors and some skill with the razor, I almost always made my haircuts myself except for when I got free ones as a hair-model at some saloon…
Today is a sad day for the world, when the trade wars start, it is so sad because no one will be a winner, people across borders in countries involved will loose old cultivated supply lines, goods will become more expensive for people on all sides, jobs will be lost, which in turn can lead to local recession and at worst case scenario the who world could suffer long time spiraling regression…
It might lead to so much bad!
All chair but the snowman emperor is nude, no one can see that since they wear goggles with mind-plastered imperial garments and regalia!!!
I hope this won't lead to more hatred by nationality because we must remember that there are good people in all nations and states, in Adolf’s reich (that was supposed to be great) there was Germans who at different levels did not comply with the rules, people who actively opposed it and victims…
Some people hid people despite the risk of themself ending up in concentration camps… and many did, and many saidly perished!!!
Remember, there will most often come an after (that is if the world or humanity doesn’t go down) …and in that after, can you stand with a clear conscious and say, I stood by my beliefs I was not swept away by mass hysteria and idol worship… where you one of them who didn’t lend hate and lunacy your helping hand!!!

We continue our series of posts interviewing "recycled art" crafters & artists. This week, we interviewed Elisabeth Hinze (alias Ronja Lotte) from the blog Nur noch as she is one of our most followed crafters and she bring very good ideas & inspirations to the Recyclart community. Tell us a little more about you? Who you are? Where are you from?
My name is Elisabeth Hinze (alias Ronja Lotte) and I am a DIY-Blogger from Hamburg, Germany. Since I was a kid, I never wanted to be anything else then an author and work with books. So I went to the university after finishing school and studied Literature and Linguistics. Well, and then life happened. After only writing academical papers for several years and working in jobs that had nothing to do with writing, I gave up on my dream. Then last year I started my blog www.nur-noch.blogspot.de and what started as a hobby became very quickly my life and the best thing that ever happened to me. At last I am writing and I can even work in my Pyjamas. Life can't get any better.
Why do you craft?
In nature I am very introvert and tend to overthink everything. When I am crafting, I just enjoy working with my hands. Another thing that I really love is to customize my own world. When I need a present for a friend, when I want a new shelf for my flat or a new dress for the summer, I just create it myself – with the materials I want and without the stress of running through a dozen stores.
How did you learn?
My father taught me to use all the essential power tools like drills, electrical saws or my beloved Dremel. When I wanted to learn to sew, I bought the cheapest sewing machine that I could find and for months I worked myself trough every sewing tutorial that I could find on the internet. I also did the same when I taught myself how to use Photoshop or when I started to photograph. I am a big believer in always learning.
Since when are you working with recycled & upcycled materials?
I started when I discovered the whole concept of Upcycling, about two years ago.
What are your can’t-live-without essentials?
My power tools, my photo camera, my cats and my bottle cutter.
How would you describe your style? Are there any crafters/artists/designers that you particularly look up to?
I would describe my style as a "modern vintage" - a fusion between modern Scandinavian design and vintage elements.
How is your workspace, how do you make it inspiring?
I work at home and my workspace is everywhere. I need a lot of light and clearness when I work so I painted my wood floor and the walls white and decluttered my flat.
What sorts of things are inspiring you right now? Where do you look for inspiration?
I always feel inspired by both the traditional Scandinavian country style and the more modern Scandinavian designs of today.
When do you feel the most creative?
At night, when I should sleep.
We live in such a mass-produced, buy-it-now society. Why should people continue to make things by hand?
There are so many benefits to making things by hand that this isn't even a real question for me: Buying a mass-produced item can never be the same than making a unique custom designed item yourself.
What is your favorite medium to work in?
I can't stop working with old bottles and wood. I never get tiered of smelling wood or sanding a perfect glass cut.
What are your tips for people who'd like to start crafting?
Don't try to be perfect and always try something new.
What is your favorite thing to do (other than crafting)?
Shopping for materials and home décor items at flea markets and thrift stores.
Anything else you would like to tell to the "recycling community"?
Right now I am working on my first craft book, together with the talented designer and author Kajsa Kinsella. The book will feature lots of Upcycling projects and I am crossing my fingers that we can find a publisher.
To finish, we've seen that you have an active blog. Since how many times are you blogging? Is that a full-time job or just a hobby to share your personal creations? Any websites that our readers should not miss?
I am blogging since June 2014 and although I started my blog as a hobby, it is now my full time job.

this is a watercolor I painted from a photograph I took in a Restaurant...
It was a nice set up on the wall,a weathered pot of some kind.
I really loved the Dramatic shadows created by the sun...
the incredible contrast of dark and light was what caught my attention..
it is a 12"x16" painted on Arches (cold Pressed) and was painted on Oct. the 28th '13.

The atom is a circle, orbits are circles, the earth, moon, and sun are circles. The seasons are circles. The cycle of life is a circle: baby, youth, adult, elder. The sun gives life to the earth who feeds life to the trees whose seeds fall to the earth to grow new trees. We need to practice seeing the cycles that the Great Spirit gave us because this will help us more in our understanding of how things operate. We need to respect these cycles and live in harmony with them. Great Spirit, let me grow in knowledge of the circle.

This is a lovely couple I had the privelege of spending a weekend in Carmel with, just before Christmas. The equally lovely (and talented), Ara, invited me on a weekend getaway, and asked if I would be so kind as to be her second shooter on this "gig". What fool turns down a weekend in sunny California in December? Certainly not I.
I have a love/hate relationships with wedding photography. It's stressful. It's physically exhausting. It's mentally taxing. It's like an Olympic event, shooting a thousand or more photos over the course of an afternoon, with only a Snickers bar, a bottle of water, and sensible shoes for comfort and support. And there's no medal at the end of the event. I was once even called a vile name by an evil family member of the groom (that, as they say, is another story). I was even once stiffed out of payment for a wedding I shot for a friend of the family. In general, the thought of making a living a these events full time sorta makes my skin crawl anymore. But I also love weddings. I haven't NOT cried at one yet. I love seeing the bride finally slip her dress on, usually with the comical assistance and commentary of bridesmaids, who usually secretly hate their dresses. I love watching the flower girl when she doesn't do what she's supposed to, but it's the highlight of the ceremony. I love seeing how nervous the couple is. I cynically say, "people think this is a once in a lifetime event" (I said cynically). I get caught up in the excitement, too, you see. I hate sitting down and spending a day at the computer to go through the images, but I love seeing the album come together.
In general, I think playing second fiddle to another photographer suits me just fine. I would still shoot a wedding for a friend or family member in a heartbeat, but this time I didn't have to deal with contracts, or meetings or arrangements, I met the family, I did my job, and I handed my memory cards to the #1. It's a pretty excellent situation for someone who has such mixed emotions about weddings. :)
But this couple...they could not have been nicer, more relaxed, happy, willing to go along with our crazy ideas; they were a dream couple. Utterly flexible, sweet, genuine, and a little sickeningly in love. I know how they feel, you reach a point sometimes where you think maybe it won't happen for you. Then it does...and well, there they are. In Carmel, a week before Christmas, frolicking in the ocean on a Friday afternoon, Pebble Beach in the background, being chased by two photographers, and everyone has their jeans rolled up.
You get really lucky sometimes when spending a day with people you've never met before in your life. Aside from this wedding, I have always met the couple, sometimes many times over, but occasionally a family member (aforementioned groom's mother, ahem) will totally blindside you. And you still have to congratulate them at the end of the night, thank them for letting you spend the day with their family, and mean it. This couple...I genuinely meant it. I could not be happier for them and wish them all the best! Congratulations, Mrs. & Mr. Christina and Steve Diaz!
