Tag Game: My First - My Last
As the title says put your first ever made doll photo with your last one, and add a year.

I suspect some of the cars I shot in Columbia's NS yard were actually tagged right there in Columbia's NS yard. A few of them, including this one, has their reporting marks painted over. A railroad crewman should have noted that before sending the car on the road. The tagging is marked the same year I made the photograph.
Well ..I was tagged a couple of times a while back and I suppose it's good to put some things in writing ...so here goes.
1. I love taking pictures. There isn't enough time in the day for all the photos I want to try. And then there are the ones I don't know about yet...
2. I really love the smell of used gun powder. I got into sporting clays a few years back, met some great people, and have been shooting competitively ever since. I've done alright and like to bring new people to the sport.
3. I quit smoking. At the time, it was close to 3 packs a day. This one is big!
4. I quit drinking. Also big! Freed up a lot of money for cameras, lenses, shotguns...all kinds of stuff! As a side note, this also freed me from the dreaded DUI anxiety. I should point out, that I owe this one to my significant other, Winglet, who can be very persistent. Thank you dear. If you get a chance, check out her photostream. She has some great photos. She's not, however addicted, like I am.
5. Some history. I grew up, went to school, and still now live in the Rochester NY area. I have done a bit of traveling, especially to Greece, but I still think Upstate NY is one of the most beautiful areas of the world. Check it out some time....particularly in the fall of the year.
6. My grandfather started a sheet metal and roofing business in 1910. Do the math....we'll be celebrating next year.
7. The self portrait should have been a giveaway about #6. I primarily work with stainless steel and other decorative architectural metal. I say -When life gets boring.... break out some mirror finished stainless.
8. Did I mention that I quit recreational smoking, but not during the late 70's when I was building stainless steel bodied electric guitars as a hobby. Flickr hadn't been invented yet.
Half way....it's starting to flow now!
9. How freakin neat are hummingbirds? I can sit and watch them for hours. The trick is to get them into my yard. Which brings me to #10.
10. I have a small little yard in the city. Since the day I moved in I have been planting different things to get a hummingbird into my yard. It took 3 years, but when I spotted one for the first time at my trumpet vine, it was one of the greatest feelings of accomplishment I have ever experienced. I still think about it. Which brings me to #11.
11. One of my new goals is to nail a couple of hummingbird photos. Then maybe my neighbors will believe me when I tell them I have a hummingbird. :0)
12. When I bought my house (15 years ago or so ) it was just going to be a cheap, temporary , stopover. Well, Winglet finally yanked me out of my procrastinary coma, and now my little house is lookin kinda sweet on the inside. Thanks again dear.
13. I wait all year for Spring to show up. There's nothing better.
14. My mom passed away in May of 08. Her name was Spring.
15. I have worked on some pretty notable projects, built some pretty interesting things, shot some pretty good pictures, won a few shooting awards.... but all these accomplishments pale next to my brothers kids. He wins. They are the best thing ever.
16. I hope the next 58 years are as interesting as the first 58 years.

1- Sou Mara Beatriz, e falar de mim é complicado por ser extremamente doida, impulsiva, do tipo vale tudo no amor e por isso tenho 3 filhos lindos: Thay, Gui e Guto. eles são tudo pra mim e parecem ter mais juizo q eu rsss...
2- Formada em letras Inglês e professora a 12 anos, amo o q faço e meus alunos ainda lembram de mim com mtas risadas tenho alguns dos primeiros ainda no orkut e ainda me mandam recadinhos.
3- Sou de Brasília mas amo praia e ainda kero passar uns aninhos em uma, mas aki nessa cidade tenho uma história de arrepiar, rss mtos amores e tb mtas decepções, me arrependo de algumas coisas, como não ter percebido antes q ser mãe é tão incrível e maravilhoso queria que minha mãe tivesse me conhecido como sou hoje, e não ter ido embora pro céus com uma impressão tão doida de mim.

Pode pior q to começando a achar q ele tem razão a um mês de namoro ele tem se esforçado pra tudo dar certo e eu esto até gostando mas com pé no xão, historia da cinderela não existe mais pra mim rsss...
5- Sou nem gordinha nem marginha, depois do Augusto meu ultimo filho fiquei com a casa dele, estou tentando tirar a 2 anos desde q ele saiu do utero rsss... mas faço dietas tb.... embora ame chocolate e junk food, nossa só como besteira...
6- Não fumo, não bebo, mas sou viciada em coca cola, internet e agora esmaltesss e konad amo demais e nao fico mais de dois dias sem tentar algo diferente nas unhas...
7- Sou curiosa, ciumenta, mtooo extrovertida, amo minha família, faço tudo pra agradar, gosto de cinema qndo é um filme q me chama atenção, temos uma poodle q acabou virando minha princesa, se chama manoelita, ela me deixa com o coração doendo qndo pula no meu colo e pede carinho.
8- Amo meus filhos a Thay tem 14 anos e mais parece minha mãe, o Gui de 9 anos é o sapeca me alucina com seu olhinho verde e seu jeito incansável de me convencer a fazer sempre o q ele quer, e o meu bbzinho Augusto de 2 anos que me ensina todos os dias o qnto é incrível ser mãe, é q os outros dois eram cuidados por minha mae eu trab o dia todo, mas ele qndo chega pedindo exensa (licensa) me desmonta, enfim hj eles são minha razão de viver e maior orgulho. Não penso em ter outro filho, mas como os 3 vieram de forma tão inusitada eu prefiro falar q Deus sabe o q faz. rsss
9- Mania agora é q não posso ver uma lojinha de cosméticos q corro e compro algum esmalte q ainda não tenho ja cheguei em 350 vidrinhos, me apaixonei pelos holos e ainda kero ter a coleçao China Glaze, Orly, channel, os importados cogitados embora ainda nao descobri como comprar pela net. LOIRA.
10- Bem acabamos de entrar em 2011 e espero neste ano mudar minha vida quem sabe me caso com o meu amigo de infancia rssss, mas meu maior projeto é ser feliz, e ai está minha tag... obrigada e bjinhosss

I used Broken China distress stain to make a "splat" on a white tag, let it dry then stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts in Barn Door ink, put a dab of ink on my craft sheet and a spritz of water-picked it up with a paint brush and flicked it across the tag. Distressed and inked the edges.
This was on a luggage cart at a rental car office at the Denver Airport. This photo marked the first time someone authoritative has come up and lobbed me the old "may I help you?" while I was taking a photo. "Hi. I'm just taking a picture of these numbers" apparently was a bizarre enough response that he didn't know how to deal with it and just left me alone.
