guys sorry for the delayed response!!! especially to Roy who tagged me back in September 2009! tagging is harder than taking pictures!!! lol...
last year when i was about to post something for Roy, i have millions of things in my mind that i keep on erasing everything i wrote down and on my fourth attempt, i gave up.
Today while i was testing a new lens, i decided that i have to post it...at least i can share something about myself to all my flickr friends who comments, views and favorite my photos. All of you had been my inspiration!
so here it goes...

9. i'm a self-taught shooter. when i first bought my D60, the only thing i know about it was to press the shutter. i still get confused about the technical stuff. i don't bother to read...i just shoot! ^_^

1. My favorite animal is the Platypus
2. When I was younger I wanted to become a film director, still do but it doesn't seem feasible

4. I do not agree with the pop-phenom following of Global Warming. I don't think the evidence brought forward is substantial and the conclusions drawn are not as concrete as you are lead to believe.
5. I love to read (though haven't done enough lately) and my favorite author is/was the late Michael Crichton.
6. I bought an dSLR thinking that it was a good investment because it would be a rather futureproof camera and thus a good investment. Unfortunately I have developed a bad case of GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrom :P) and have been slowly upgrading everything I thought was a good investment.
7. I just completed my HBSc, double majoring in Anthropology and Biology, and made the Dean's list.
8. My verbal mannerisms seem to be stereotypically Canadian. If you met me I think you'd agree, eh?
9. I used to live in in a small town that was more country side than city. During the 4 years I lived there as a kid I was stung by wasps and hornets over 40 times. I used to stand around and look into the complex/neat nests of ground hornets a lot, obviously not the best idea. Now I do a lot of macrophotography of insects, and have tried to take many 1:1 shots of bees, wasps, and hornets. I guess I never learned my lesson.
Edit: and... 10. This is my first attempt at shooting the moon and didnt use a tripod. I think it came out well, but will have to try again another time with a proper set up, instead of just doing it on the fly. The image seems a bit soft.

Tagged Monarch Butterfly at Norma Gibbs Park, in Huntington Beach. I am waiting to hear back to see where it was tagged. It sounds like it may have been up in Pacific Grove, CA Notice part of the wing is missing. This is quite a journey for a Monarch!!

so here are 16 facts about me... and i only have one other contact, so paul, get ready to get a message from me haha
1. My middle name is Blair, but I spell it as Blaire. The absence of an 'e' just irks me
2. I think I'm a hypochondriac... and I probably am for thinking that I am one.
3. I prefer DSLR cameras, but I have this strange camera that's kind of like a DSLR (without the interchangeable lenses) and kind of like a point-and-shoot (but not as small). It's pretty decent for the price, i just wish I knew how to take better pictures with it, seeing as i'm still toying around with it.
4. I have a Macbook but I really want a Macbook Pro. and not the new ones, the generation where the MBPs actually didn't look like the MBs. reason being is that I have 52.79gb of space left with only 7 months of me having it. and if I sell this on ebay, plus use the profits of my job (which I'll explain in the next fact thingy), i'll prolly have enough.
5. I work at an ice rink helping little kids learn to skate in the skating school. it's pretty fun. i only work 6 hours a week, but it fits in perfectly with choir practices, flute lessons, Peace Project meetings, buildOn meetings, and the little space i have for homework. haha. although I only get paid once a month :(
6. I complain A LOT.
7. I also procrastinate A LOT.
8. I've been playing the flute for five years. I guess i'm pretty good at it. I love it. Ive had three flutes haha but I just sold one on ebay, so now I have an Amadeus AF700 for my classical playing and a Gemeinhardt student flute (forgot what model it is haha) that I use for band. one of my New Year's resolutions was to practice every day for at least an hour so i can actually get into a college based on my audition because my grades are pretty bad (well, to my mom's standards at least. i have a 3.2). playing open holed is pretty hard tho :/ especially the low register.
9. I'm really clumsy. I've broken my pinky when I was in 2nd grade, but im surprised I've never broken anything else. (come to think of it, I think i broke my toe a couple months ago, but i never went to the doctors since it 'can't be fixed.' it still hurts). I drop EVERYTHING and have broken phones, ipods, cameras (well, they sucked anyway haha). I'm trying to be more careful about my things, as I'm gonna sell my camera, iPod, and computer and get a Macbook Pro, an iPhone, and probably a D80 or D60.
10. I don't lie, with the exception of little white lies to ward off people i dont like haha. Abstaining from lying was my New Year's resolution from 2008, and i stuck with it, because seeing people lie about stuff is a huge pet peeve of mine. along with when people chomp on their ice
11. I love animals. My dog is great. he's just REALLY mean to people, and when i say mean, i mean it (no pun intended :P). People are afraid to come to my house anymore, and when the do, into a secluded locked room he goes. When i have my own house, I want a chinchilla, a guinea pig and an adopted mixed breed dog. I'm not too fond of cats though
12. I've been around the same height, weight, and shoe size since 6th grade (i'm now in 11th grade hahaha). the only thing that's changed really is my vision, which unfortunately, has gotten worse. I suck at putting contacts in and i despise wearing my glasses, so Im getting lasik done when I'm 17 *hopefully*
13. Not many people know their neighbors. Im happy to say I do. I live on a cul-de-sac which everyone thinks its a private street because we have some dude make a fancy sign instead of the regular street signs. but it's public. it has about 50 houses, most of them were built in the 50s. I know maybe about 80% of the people who live here, and about half of that 80% i can trust for rides to my job, or stay there if i get locked out of my house haha
14. I'm terrified of riding on planes and roller coasters. and heights in general. i almost fell out of a roller coaster a few years ago because the restraint kept popping up.
15. I'm trying to reduce my footprint on the earth, figuratively speaking of course (I don't weight that much ahha). I turn off lights when I'm not in the room or if its light outside, i use that natural sunlight. I unplug stuff I'm not using. I recycle :D the only thing i need to work on is taking shorter showers, because mine are usually 20 - 30 minutes :P

Vancouver, BC – Staff and volunteers at the Vancouver Aquarium are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Tag, a 15 year-old male Steller sea lion.
Tag was diagnosed with oral cancer last winter and was in treatment until his death in the early hours of this morning.
Prior to his diagnosis, Tag had a 10 year history of oral and dental problems, including several procedures to remove diseased teeth. A procedure last February for removal of abnormal tissue and teeth allowed a biopsy to be performed which indicated cancer.
During the spring Tag began chemotherapy and laser surgery. In addition, he was treated with new anti-inflammatory and gastric medications intended to make him much more comfortable. The level of expertise, professional resources and treatment Tag received reflected the Vancouver Aquarium’s commitment to the highest standards of animal health care.
“Experts from around the world helped us to develop a very sophisticated treatment plan aimed at ensuring that Tag would have the best quality of life possible for his remaining months with us.” said Dr. Martin Haulena, Vancouver Aquarium Staff Veterinarian.
Animal care staff observed abnormal bleeding in Tag’s mouth. Dr. Haulena decided to anaesthetize Tag last evening to further examine his mouth and to perform surgery in the Aquarium’s veterinary hospital facilities. The surgery revealed major problems in the mouth caused by a highly invasive and progressive carcinoma. Despite the medical team’s best efforts Tag failed to fully recover from the procedure and passed away shortly before 2am.
“I am very proud of our animal husbandry and veterinary teams that worked selflessly over the last few weeks. Tag was truly one of the most unique marine mammals that any of us have had the pleasure to work with. He will always be remembered for his noble heart, playful character, and gentle soul. He allowed us incredible insight into the world of Steller sea lions.” said Clint Wright, Vancouver Aquarium, Senior Vice President, Operation & and Planning.
Tag first arrived at the Aquarium as a two-week-old pup in 1993 as part of an original group of Steller sea lions participating in studies conducted by UBC Marine Mammal Research Unit researchers who are part of the North Pacific Universities Marine Mammal Research Consortium. Since 1980, more than 80% of the world Steller population has disappeared, leaving fewer than 75,000 individuals. Tag participated in comprehensive studies, the first of their kind, designed to explore the hypotheses that are thought to explain the population decline. The studies have provided hugely valuable information that is otherwise unobtainable from wild animals.

At first – this is very, very old picture of Lunette, just a month after she arrived to us, today she looks totally different and we are makeing far better pictures, do not worry XD

Yes, we could not to sell her. Every time we want to do it, we sew her a new set of clothing and she mesmerize us as for a first time we saw her ^^
3. Was your first doll your grail?
We do not have something like a “grail”, so no, she is not, but also none of dolls is…
4. How long did you have to wait from the moment you decided on the doll to actually buying?
A week maybe? After we were sure that she is “the one” ;)
5. Did you buy it or was it a gift?
We bought her.
6. Why did you choose the doll you did as your first?
She was just perfect, it is very hard to describe. A lot of dolls were beautiful, but only when we were looking at her, our hearts were beating faster ^^”
7. Did you have a character in mind as soon as you saw the doll or did it develop after arrival?
We knew that she will look like a calm, warm and polite person and actually she is like this till today ^^
8. Do any of your friends own the same sculpt?
No! When we were buying her, Iplehouse had only three molds to choice, there were only EIDs (SID, nYIDs, BIDs, KIDs did not exist XD) and nobody had a courage to buy “such a big doll”! So she was unique than… And now Iplehouse has such a wide offer that our friends do not choose such an old mold XD
9. If you could go back and change your decision to buy the doll you did as your first, would you?
Never!
10. How did you learn about BJDs?
We found some blog about dollfies on a pinger.pl and we were just lost XD

Thanks for tagging us, Agilestandard! Looks like we caught Roux babysitting one of his two litter mates. Let's see what he's got to share with us...
1. My name is Roux (roo) and my mom named me after clarified butter. At first I was a little uncomfortable with being named after a food component, but after all of the Food Network we watch together, I've come to enjoy my strange name!
2. I am a big 21 months old and stand a tall 24". So I'm short.. But I am one big Casanova!
3. Speaking of which.. I have a girlfriend! Her name is Layla and she is 75% poodle and 25% labrador. When we go out people always think she's the male and I'm the female... I'm okay with that. Though we may never have a litter, our love shall endure!
4. Pictured with me is one of my favorite litter mates, Olivia. She is older than I am by 12 months, but she's still smaller than I! Her twin sister Ava likes to wrestle with me. Just as they've helped me bond with humans, I've helped them become more comfortable with large dogs like me! I love them soooo much!
5. It's so hot here in Oklahoma... Mom keeps us inside during the day to play with my favorite toy (the racquet ball!!!) and then we enjoy runs in the evening. My mom is a good runner, but I can easily go further and faster than she (don't tell her I said that!)
6. I live with a black kitty named Luna. She is also older than I am, but still so much smaller! I am careful when I play with her, and let her rub up against me when she wants attention.
7. When mom got me at seven months I was scared of strange people coming and touching me. However, with lots of walks and playtime with strangers I've come to enjoy new people! I'm still timid of most men, though...
8. I know some tricks! I know heel, sit, stay, down, paw, sit pretty, go potty, come here, go to bed, crawl, back, leave it, and drop it! Speak is my newest trick, and I'm still not really sure what she wants me to do when she says it, but I'm learning.
9. I loooove squirrels and birds! Used to, when we would go running, I would veer off to chase them, but mom told me to stay with her, and now I only chase them when I'm unleashed.

1. Photography is more a kind of nice disease for me than a hobby! I'am almost always busy with photography
2. I still live with my parents, but before my parents, they are my first friends
3. My first moped was a Honda Scoopy... shame on me!!
4. Later I bought a Kreidler RM, I still have this moped...... And I am 28 years old!!
5. Volkswagen makes the best cars ever! But there are some other great car brands out there!

1. Pre - school my favourite programme on the TV was
