The condo is situated in the SE Clinton area & has radiant heated hard wood floors, ceiling to floor glass & a Modular Art wall in the Dining Room, custom wallpaper in the Living Room & Master Bathroom. The residents have a SW view that faces downtown Portland & the home is totally smart, all shades, lighting, cameras, audio, video & HVAC can be controlled via iPhone, iPad, Apple computer & can also be controlled remotely while out of town. It has a timer based system when the residents are away to adjust lighting, shades & HVAC based on their needs. It truly is an East Side gem.

Josef Hoffmann designed this lamp when the shift from gas to electricity was challenging designers to effectively utilize the new technology. He chose not to shade the light source. Instead, he drew attention to the naked bulbs by echoing their shape in the suspended glass spheres, which, like the shimmering hammered surfaces, catch and reflect the light.

Juni 2019 stellt das Museum Wiesbaden diese herausragende Sammlung zum ersten Male als Ganzes einer breiten Öffentlichkeit aus und setzt Wiesbaden damit auf die Karte der europäischen Jugendstilstädte.

Well, at least this chap didn't have his cell phone glued to his ear. I have been through this on my previous visit to Thailand (though not Chiang Mai) in 2002, so more or less knew what to expect. The Stainless Steel Frames are 1st wrapped/clad in Muslin.
Later a Composite is made with Rice papers, adhesives,Fire Retardant Chemicals, and then sealed and sanded and sealed again.
The final effect is like Parchment, or Velum.
These will be mounted to a Stainless Steel "pan" /backplate- that will hold the bulbs to the wall- and allow the "shade" to be removed for changing the bulbs.

This was shot was taken under controlled environment with table lamps in a home setup.
An inexpensive makeshift set up at home is much suited for people like me and use it when time is scarce and when taking the camera for a walk is not possible. As a result, I can have a photo session, even if I have 30 minutes of time with me. After the first result, I felt still more enthused and started clicking with renewed vigour. This is for the first time in my life, when I have used my camera each day of the whole week and not lamented about being busy with my life and not touching my camera.
