The Flos Kelvin LED Warm Glow table lamp is the LED version of the adjustable Kelvin Lamp. The brilliant extra is that the LED in this lamp emits a soft, warm glow, rather than a bright white light like other LED's available.

Absolutely FABULOUS!

Created by Tiffany Studios in 1901. From the exhibit’s description:

“The Wisteria lamp was designed by Clara Driscoll, who was responsible for most of the Tiffany lampshades, with the assistance of her ‘Tiffany girls.’ Of particular note are the open bronze branches at the top, from which the wisteria blossoms fall to an irregular edge.”

The adjacent photo shows the entire lamp.

Louis Comfort Tiffany was a renowned American artist who produced multiple types of artwork, including paintings, ceramics, metalwork, and jewelry. He is best known for his glass pieces, including stained glass windows and lamps. He employed novel approaches with glass and metal to create beautiful, detailed results. Tiffany found inspiration in nature, including plants and animals, which is reflected in many pieces he produced. In addition to being an artist himself, he created a company that included other artists and craftsmen. Later in life he became the first Design Director for Tiffany & Co., the jewelry company his father had founded.

Seen at an exhibit of Tiffany pieces from the Driehaus Collection, displayed at The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn, Michigan.

Insulator Lamp - Made with a vintae glass Hemingray #9 insulator.

What can we say?

When this came off the table in the studio we were blown away! Built on a reclaimed lamp base, this beauty features a vinatage percolator that hides a red flashing C7 bulb that lights though a large glass dome. At the base is an orange "curly" bulb that not only simulates rocket blast, but lights the little red light on the percolator's base. Also featured is a vintage melmac blinking sugar bowl (with lid) and melmac cup with a swirl bulb simulating a planet! New fabric cord and three-way switch that controls all components. 20"H x 20"W

My latest cut paper lamp. Pictured here lit up with a energy efficient compact fluorescent bulb. I worked through exhaustion to get this baby done for the show. I was up until 5am.

TOY LAMP: COWBOY

Artist: Julia McLain

9" x 9" x 48" tall

Around 2007

Handcrafted: Mosaics, vintage toys and illustrated by artist

Each were constructed from existing lamps. I dremeled out the toys. Each took about a month to complete.

I mosaicked the base of all lamps. The stands are all made out of old (and some new) squeeze toys, banks, Sippy cups and Christmas ornaments. I hand constructed all the lamp shade frames then papered them. Each shade is illustrated using imagery inspired by vintage toys, games and other memorabilia. The shade is coated with acid free glue. The final touches for most are very fine crystal lamp prisms. The circus lamp is finished off with vintage tensile. Each has been expertly checked by lamp specialist. A very low wattage bulb is advised.

NOTE: These lamps are designed for adults and not children as they are fragile works of art.

Great lamps! Not really magnolia, tall for artichoke... Definitely vintage--look to be 1970's-1980s, from looks of cording & plug.
