I just read about someone who saw a snatch and grab incident at Wilson Subway station yesterday. From what this person posted on r/toronto, three to four men got off the subway at Wilson Subway station and one of them grabbed a young girl's phone and they ran off.
So yeah, always be aware of your surroundings at all times. It doesn't matter if it's during the day, at night, or during rush hour. These incidents happen way too often and I would hate for it to happen to anyone I know.
In Toronto this is the subway train which intersects the city horizontally (east-west), we also have a subway which runs north and south. I know we all think of the subway as an underground train, but in sections our subway is above ground and its nice when riding the subway at the point when the trains climbs out of the tunnel into open air especially on sunny days. This image was captured just after the train left the most westerly subway station heading east into the downtown core. Toronto is a big city, not sure how long it would take if you were to ride the subway the entire length, I suspect it would be an hour or more. Believe it or not that large black mound to the left is snow, yes you read correctly..SNOW. The City of Toronto operates a number of snow dumps in the city and this is where the city disposes of snow it removes from laneways, parking lots, city streets and anywhere else snow accumulates and impedes traffic flow, parking etc. Not terribly important information...just thought maybe you'd like to know ;-))

Odd that the best quality print was of the livery that I most disliked. Applied to some of the PCCs when the new Harbourfront line opened, they reflected the colours then applied to new vehicles, but I thought were quite inappropriate. I have never liked the fad of black window surrounds.
That pale blue coat on the gent on the left of the image is odd too: perhaps he was a doorman of one of the downtown hotels?
