Just like many other Christian brothers and sisters, I eagerly long for the second coming of the Lord Jesus . We abide by the following passage from the Bible: “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). For this reason, we foolishly look up to the skies longing for the day that Jesus will return and take us up into the clouds so that we can be with the Lord. However, after so many years have passed, the four blood moons have already appeared; earthquakes, famines, plagues and war and all sorts of other disasters are becoming more and more intense. The prophecies of the Lord’s second coming have basically been fulfilled. However, we still have not seen one Christian raptured into heaven. I cannot help but think, “Why does the Lord not come to receive us? The Lord is trustworthy. The Lord promised that He would take us into the heavenly kingdom in the last days. The Lord’s promise certainly will be accomplished and fulfilled. I do not doubt this at all. Yet, how come up until now, we still have not been raptured by the Lord into heaven? Could it be that there are some problems with our longing?”

Trust: a firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something.

Humans have a natural disposition to trust and to judge trustworthiness. This can be traced to the neurobiological structure and activity of a human brain. Some studies indicate that trust can be altered e.g. by the application of oxytocin.

Oxytocin (not to be confused with OxyContin, the painkiller at the centre of the opioid epidemic) has been called the “love chemical,” the “hug hormone,” the “elixir of trust,” and even the “moral molecule,” among other monikers.

There is a lot of hype out there, the snake-oil salesmanship rampant in a shady industry of sprays, balms, and elixirs claiming to harness the power of oxytocin to win friends, lovers, and clients.

The intense interest in oxytocin has been a double-edged sword. While science tries to sort out the nuances of what the hormone does and how, the popular press and the public have run wild with the concept of a feel-good hormone that could seemingly right society’s wrongs.

As studies continue some people wait in hope and some of us wonder why you would need a "chemical additive" to make friends.

(in my opinion messing with your brain's chemistry is a risky business).

I set up my camera to shoot timelapse near here, and retrieved it at 3:45 AM. As I was walking back to our vehicle, I noticed a strange, bright light in the sky. At first I thought it was a comet, but it was changing shape and moving. I told the telescope operator to get out of the car and look, and we stared at it for several seconds before he suggested that I take photos. As quickly as I could, I re-set up my camera and snapped a few photos of the morphing, glowing cloud in the sky. I may post some later... Our best guess is that it was an ICBM launch, and the gasses were sufficiently high enough to catch the sunlight.

After the glow dissipated, I noticed how brightly the Milky Way was shining above Subaru. We walked back to it, and I took several images. Miraculously, a meteor streaked through this image.

This is just a preliminary edit (nearly straight off the camera, with just white balance and contrast tweaks in ACR) and likely will change. I'm currently waiting for breakfast after staying up all night, so my eyes probably aren't trustworthy right now...

It is Christmas 2021 This year through Christmas songs of praise by our carolers in Old Town, Paprihaven celebrates the Lord Jesus Christ coming to take our form to save the lost.

🎵 O come, all ye faithful,

Joyful and triumphant,

O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.

Come and behold Him,

Born the King of Angels;

O come, let us adore Him,

O come, let us adore Him,

O come, let us adore Him,

Christ the Lord. 🎶

God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

🎵 O Lord, You are my God;

I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name;

For You have worked wonders,

Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.

The faithful, those who have been giving faith by God, are joyful in that their Savior has freed them from the guilt and shame of their sin, and triumphant in that their Savior has freed them from the penalty. Taking our sin upon Himself, the Lord Jesus Christ also took the punishment, the wrath of the Father, so that those faithful would never have to see it. Indeed, we can only be faithful because God was first faithful to love and save us.

🎵 O Sing, choirs of angels,

Sing in exultation,

Sing all that hear in heaven God's holy word.

Give to our Father glory in the Highest;

For He alone is worthy,

For He alone is worthy,

For He alone is worthy,

Christ the Lord. 🎶

11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice,

“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.”

And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying,

“To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.”

And the four living creatures kept saying, “Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.

Christ Jesus, God the Son, who willingly set aside His divine prerogative to become flesh of our flesh and bone of our bone, all in order to die as one of us to save us. It was the only reason He came.

It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.

All Hail! Lord, we greet Thee,

Born this happy morning,

O Jesus! for evermore be Thy name adored.

Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing;

We'll give You all the glory,

We'll give You all the glory,

We'll give You all the glory,

Christ the Lord. 🎶

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Taking our form, God in human flesh, Jesus fulfilled all of the law and prophecy that had come before. He was the Word made flesh. He perfectly lived, demonstrated, and epitomized all of God's perfect instruction and truth.

Together - sometimes it’s necessary to borrow hope from someone else who is authentic and trustworthy when my hope seems lost.

What a gift it is to truly be together in the presence of another person, connected in a healthy, meaningful, mindful, validating, authentic, caring way, to be seen and accepted in a healing way.

_________________

Recently as I looked through some photos I’ve taken I noticed a few that I categorized and called “together” (it seems perhaps this has become a new, naturally occurring photo project)—they were photos of two dandelions or two leaves together at various stages of growth or decay. This reminded me of moments with a few people who are of incredible support to me, moments when I was not alone (feeling and/or being alone has often been my experience throughout my life and something I’d often been drawn to capture—the feeling of “alone”) and what a gift it is to truly be together in each other’s presence, connected in a healthy, meaningful, mindful, validating, authentic, caring way, to be seen and accepted in a healing way (which I believe also has some similarities to relationship with God) though it can be scary and overwhelming because it’s so unfamiliar to me. I’ve been thinking about this a lot as I look at, share a few of the “together” photos and notice and capture more “together” sightings I encounter. And it has taken me a significant amount of time to even been able to try to put the meaning I see in the photos into words because it is a very deep, foreign experience to me and I didn’t really have the words for it.

Macanta the Donkey (Meaning Honest & Trustworthy in Irish), at Dingle, Co.Kerry, Ireland.

I have had a desire to check this place for quite a long time but due to laziness and other things i never got there. Yesterday i finally jumped into my old trustworthy Volkswagen and drove little over 40 kilometres to Matkakoski.

Sunset wasn't as nice as i hoped it to be but i still got over 150 photos from this trip. So expect a lot of photos from the same place in the future :D

1. CONFUCIUS:

This symbol does not just represent the Master Confucius, but everything he stood for – righteousness and internal harmony. Confucius is seen to embody these six aspects of a virtuous life:

• Yi – Righteousness and moral rectitude

• Xin - Honesty and trustworthiness in one’s dealings

• Chung - Loyalty to the State and one’s community

• Li – Respect for ritual, propriety, etiquette, and proper behaviour

• Hsiao - Love within the family, love of parents for their children, and love of children for their parents with special emphasis on the respect of one’s ancestors

• Jen – Benevolence and lovingkindness towards one another. This is the most important Confucian virtue: “Do not do unto others what you would not want them to do to you.”

2. WATER:

In Chinese philosophy water is seen as the life force, but particularly associated with calmness and serenity, fluidity and flexibility. One might remember the Kung Fu master Bruce Lee once saying in a famous interview, “Be water my friend.” Water always molds itself to fit the circumstances around which it flows, while at the same time having the strength to wear away any resisting force.

3. SCHOLAR:

The importance of learning. Here Confucius himself is the model. The essence of being a full human being is that one is scholarly in all pursuits. Learn to show yourself approved. The scholar is always learning, growing and improving. This is the antithesis of intellectual laziness and explains why cultures influenced by Confucius prize education above all endeavours.

4. YIN YANG:

The most famous symbol in Chinese philosophy represents the balance in nature between opposing forces. The outer circle represents everything. The black and white shapes in the circle represent the interaction of two energies, called "yin" (black) and "yang" (white). Like the Zoroastrians, Confucians do not expect a world without darkness, evil or suffering. In fact it sees the opposition between good and evil, light and dark forces as essential to the drama of life.

I wouldn't advice you to try such a shot unless you've got a trustworthy DSLR camera and be absolutely certain of what you're doing !!!

It was early in the afternoon, the sun was still very high in the sky and it was rather scorching ... circumstances under which it is rather impossible to capture a visually pleasant shot ... But then I had this beautiful seascape scene in front of me and I just had to take the shot, even though the sun was standing still just behind my main theme ... So I set my D90's exposure compensation to -0,67 EV and adjusted my shutter speed to 1/1600 s ...

To tell you the truth the photo came out a lot better than I expected ... So much better that I tried some more of those risky but amazing captures, of shooting directly against the burning "fireball", to a couple of additional beautiful landscapes I happen to come across henceforth ... So just bear with me for a little while my friends ....

By the way the above seen landscape can be found at a rather difficult to approach point of Rodopi's seashore ... At an area called Maronia ...

EXIF: NIKON D90 with Nikon Nikkor 18-55 lens, Manual mode, f 6,3, Focal Length 22 mm, ISO 200, use of ND HOYA X2 filter, exposure compensation forced to -0,67 EV, HDR photo made by only one RAW shot, manual exposure setting, auto focus mode, shutter speed 1/1600 s, no tripod, flash did not fire ...

GCX Unrestricted – Preparation at Castle Kjeldslot

Spring in the Kjelddal was usually everyone’s favorite time of year. But this year was different. The hidden vale of the Kjelddal used to be happy and peaceful. There were never any outsiders bringing their politics and wars into this tranquil place. But that started to change last year.

Lord Gøttfried Kjeldsen sent three of his most trustworthy advisors out into greater Garheim on a mission to gather information.

While on his Lordship’s mission, Norvald visited a small tavern in Ugleheim. As he often did, Norvald had a bit too much to drink and his tongue became a bit too loose. Soon everyone else in the tavern had heard that he was from the hidden land of Kjelddal. The next morning, Norvald realized his error and left town immediately. He went straight home to the Kjelddal, avoiding main roads as much as he could. He had thought that he had covered his tracks well, but two days after his return, one of the villagers reported that his food storage had been emptied and that two of his horses were gone. After searching the vale, there was no sign of the stolen food or horses. Clearly, Outlaws had gotten into the Kjelddal, and escaped. The hidden valley would not remain hidden for long.

The next day, Torbjørn and Fridleiv, Kjeldsen’s other two advisors, returned to the Kjelddal, bringing news of the uncertainty and fear spreading all over Roawia. “It’s clear now that we can no longer trust in our location to keep our people safe.” Kjeldsen told his men. “We need to take measures to prepare ourselves for the days ahead. We have been hidden from war for years, but we cannot trust that our location remains a secret. We must take extra precautions to safeguard our livelihood. From this day on, everyone in the Kjelddal must bring their foodstores and any other possessions they hold dear behind my castle walls. The livestock must also be stabled in my courtyard at night. We will double the castle guard and keep men on the walls day and night. Nothing outside the castle should be considered safe.”

“My Lord,” said Norvald, “This is all my fault. The outlaws must have followed me home from Ugleheim. I will stay on the wall day and night, and the minute they show their ugly faces they will meet the blade of my axe.”

“Very well” said Kjeldsen. “I will personally oversee the movement of food and livestock into my walls. I don’t want anyone in my home that isn’t of the Kjelddal.”

My entry into the GC X – Preparations category at LOR. This castle has actually been built for a few months now. It was a winter project that I just never got around to photographing. That, and since it wasn’t done in time for CCC, I decided to save it for another contest. I originally tried a few different techniques in building the roof, but in the end I opted for the good old fashioned “studs on top” approach. Everything else I tried just looked to ramshackle in comparison with the rest of the castle’s clean and well-kept appearance. The Kjeddal is one place that has been hidden from the previous war, after all, so I decided that it should look that way.

Agnes: Hey Bruno, why do you get to hang out on the bed while I have to be in a kennel?

Bruno: Simple, the family went out and you're a new puppy, so you're not yet trust worthy. The humans like to have you fully trained before they leave you free in the house.

Agnes: That seems a bit harsh.

Bruno: Yup it's true. Earning trust is a tough thing when you're a puppy.

Agnes: Name one thing non-trustworthy about me.

Bruno: You like to move shoes all over the house.

Agnes: So do you.

Bruno: And you lose your mind yelling at the mailman.

Agnes: Ummm, so do you.

Bruno: And sometimes you lie down and touch me when I'm trying to get some rest.

Agnes: That's not against the house rules.

Bruno: I'm not so sure about that. Plus, you lounge on the furniture instead of the designated puppy beds.

Agnes: Ummm, you do realize that you're currently lounging on the big human bed?

Bruno: True that. But you're forgetting one major difference between you and me.

Agnes: I'm not a hypocrite.

Bruno: And I'm not a cricket either. But the big thing is people don't think I'm smart enough the be better behaved. So all I have to do is be pleasant, cute and the world is my oyster.

Agnes: This reeks of inequality.

Bruno: Yup. Inequality and oysters. I think I'm going to go look for some oysters in the fridge.

This photo may not have high artistic quality, but I took it aiming for the story. It's hard to believe but Agnes is now pretty well behaved so I think daytime kennelling is soon to end, but before it did I wanted to get a shot like this to add to her story. The only question is if Bruno is ready for her to be out of the kennel during the day.

I'm working this weekend, so I'll try to come back later to be more social. Until then, it's a dump and run for posting this photo.

Gowerton in West Swansea has two secondary schools, including the County's Welsh Medium secondary school with the larger catchment area, and a low railway bridge crossing the main road to the north of the village thrown in for good measure.

This proves a challenge for school transport contractors in terms of sourcing high capacity coaches that are low enough to pass under the bridge. With Plaxton Leopard-bodied Volvo B8Rs available on the secondhand market like gold, trustworthy Plaxton Profile-bodied Volvo B7Rs and Dennis Javelins have to be the fall back.

This shot from September 2025 depicts two Profiles in the immaculately presented fleet of 1st Choice of Llanelli - 70 seat Javelin VT59 VLT leading 57 seat Volvo B7R T10 FCT - on their way to undertake afternoon school runs. The former carries an air conditioning unit which probably makes the clearance even tighter.

VT59 VLT was new to GHA or Ruabon as DK59 CWU, and has also carried plate TYR 31R, whilst T10 FCT was new to an MoD contractor, and has also carried CU58 OBK and WA58 TBO.

Guuguubarra is the First Nation's Wiradjuri language name for this bird and it is easy to see the relation to the more common name/spelling of kookaburra that it morphed in to.

Just as the robin-redbreasts would follow my father around his gardens in England as he was digging, excitedly waiting for any juicy worms or insects brought to the surface - so too now am I joined by such lovely avian company while I'm working here in my gardens in Australia, in the form of kookaburras.

This particular kookaburra has been flying in this past week. It is small, so perhaps still a juvenile.

What a humbling joy to be deemed trustworthy enough by a wild creature, spending just a small moment with them.

Kookaburras are the world's largest kingfisher (family Alcedinidae), these being purely terrestrial.

Just as the robins did with my father, here is my visitor perched atop my spade handle, watching, watching, ever alert.

The Alcazar

The compound which makes up the Royal Alcazar of Seville was founded in the early Middle-Ages, when the ancient Roman city of Hispalis, the Spali of Gothic times, evolved to be re-named Ixbilia. According to the most trustworthy sources, it was at the beginning of the tenth century – in 913, to be specific – that the Caliph of Cordoba, Abdurrahman III an-Nasir, ordered new government premises, the Dar al-Imara, to be built on the southern flank of the city. Previously, the ruling al-Andalus powers had been seated inside the Low-Roman-Empire city centre, not far from the Hispalis Mosque, where the Collegiate Church of El Salvador now stands. From then on, Seville’s centre of power was linked to the city’s port, the hub of its economic activity. The city’s ancient port, on the grounds of the current Plaza del Triunfo, or the ‘Explanada de los Banu Jaldún’ as it was then called, moved west towards the main course of the Guadalquivir, while the river’s subsidiary arm, flowing from the current Alameda de Hercules through Tetuan street to the Plaza Nueva, gradually lost its importance as an urban waterway as it dwindled. Only during flood periods could it reclaim its place.

Papa likes to hike. With his trustworthy duck left in charge back in office, letting loose of all worldly things and becoming one with mother nature is easy. It soothes the mind and body.

Recently, Papa decided to recharge and explore the borders of the capitol at G4. "There must surely be some way in from here?".. As he ventured further into the wild forests of G1 province, Papa encountered weird marble slabs of different sizes and shapes.

"Let's call it in and ask the duck for reinforcements", he said. And soon he and his henchmen set out on an expedition to explore the mysterious ruins and see what treasures might be found.

As he gathered his gear to take part of a morning run, he walked up to one of the ancient temple sites. It was an overgrown ruin with a centered slab depicting something of an image resembling the mighty Terrus. Only he was shown in a coccoon-like state. This would be something for the historians to look into.

Approaching the image, Papa felt the ground becoming mushy and slipping underneath his feet. He suddenly dropped into a lower level with what seemed to be an ancient burial chamber. "By the looks of it, we're on to something, carrramba". Dusting off his shoulders, he could see a big round door. It was marked with strange glyphs he couldn't understand.

Shouting upwards to the rest of the crew, explosives were brought in to see if a passage could be made. With a big "Bang", the whole archway cracked and the heavy door slowly rolled backwards to finally drop with a big 'Poof'. Wind came gushing through with an eerie sound, bringing a strange odor along with it.

"Bring in the gear guys", Papa ordered. "I think we've found some quality resources!". Iron ore, crystals and even gold veins were abundandtly present. Little later, a small railway system was installed to get a line going. The old wishing well came in handy too, as it could be used to get the ore above ground.

"These ruins will have to be charted", Papa said to his compadre. Ending his escapade with a smirky "See where Tequila gets you?!"...

A very chilled Charlie Brown considering whether or not he was going to keep on tolerating me pointing my lens in his direction. Luckily he decided I was trustworthy and I got some lovely shots of him at his most relaxed in the garden. #livelifelikealabrador

Today, I ventured up into the Azusa Canyon to pay a visit to the Chrystal Lake Café. I've made the run two years ago with no issues but, felt I needed a test run prior to our visit for Christmas this year. Also, I had an overwhelming case of cabin fever I needed to ditch so, grabbed the puppy and my Musette bag and headed into the canyon.

After much patience being tried, this machine has really transformed into a pleasure cruiser. Many of you may remember the first photos I posted here of this car, when I purchased it. It wasn't what you see before you now. Yet, with just the right amount of love (and money) it has blossomed into a trustworthy automobile, and a fairly safe one at that. While many wouldn't dream of driving a 78 year old car up into the mountains, just for fun, I found it a fairly relaxing adventure. So long as I kept an eye on my rear view mirror, to pull over for faster moving traffic, it wasn't so bad.

The fact this car didn't only make the climb, but did it mostly in 3rd gear, and only had to down shift into 2nd a few times when the road steepened into tight corners, she really held herself together. The drive back down was a breeze but, I really enjoy the drive into the Azusa Canyon for one simple reason. It's not all "UP" all the way there. There's several level sections of road that gives a motorist a nice ride, all the way to the top. Crystal Lake Café is about 5000ft and they did receive some snow, but not quite low enough to hit the café and the cabins there. The proprietor expects snow this week, where he's at.

Anyway, enjoy the smattering of photos I took to document the results of the wild hair I caught today. It was worth it.

This American alligator may be slightly more trustworthy than other alligators, though. No, not because it's a stuffed animal (he is alive, I did see him move) but because of his rather sad history. The poor fellow came to the reptile zoo together with another alligator after being confiscated from a circus. Not only is it impossible to offer even remotely acceptable living conditions to an alligator in a circus, but they both were also mutilated. In order to prevent them from biting their jaw joints were "manipulated" and they are now only able to open their mouths about 2 or 3 inches (5-7 cm). The keepers at the reptile zoo have to feed them tiny bits of meat and even that is quite difficult. But at least they live in a more adequate environment now with plants and a big pool.

BIBLICAL CONTEXT: Hebrews 6:16-20 NLT

(from biblegateway.com)

16 Now when people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding. 17 God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. 18 So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. 20 Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.

---------------------------------------------------------

5 MORE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)

2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)

3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)

4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)

5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)

I recently discovered pedelecs or e-bikes due to my work (I have no car and I had to do nightshifts when public transportation doesn't work). So I rented one from the public transportation company of my town. I fell right in love with it ! I can choose to ride with little to no effort if I want or I can dial down the assistance and it become much closer to a normal bicycle. I usually dial down when cruising and go full e-juice when reaching a steep climb.

I did 40km today and that's how far I can go on one charge, the battery was nearly dead. Good thing I live not that far from my workplace !

"Face it tiger... you just hit the jackpot!"

With these words, Mary Jane Watson, the vivacious, charming, and determined extrovert who fell in love with one Peter Parker, became the most popular "non-powered" character in the Marvel universe.

Initially set up by Aunt May as a blind date, redheaded party girl Mary Jane "MJ" Watson was depicted in her early appearances as Gwen Stacy's competition.

Though Peter dated her briefly before Gwen, both of them broke it off as Peter saw her flamboyance, flakiness and 'life of the party' personality as shallow and MJ was not ready to be tied down by one man.

She eventually became Peter's main love interest after Gwen's death at the hands of the Green Goblin. The pair formed a bond through the grief of losing Gwen, as Mary Jane grew to become a more mature and open-hearted person.

She and Peter got closer, fell deeply in love, had an on-off relationship for years and eventually married.

Mary Jane is an empathetic and understanding person, willing to give the benefit of the doubt to friends and take the time to wrap her head around something.

Having grown up in a troubled household due to her father's teaching positions and frustrations in private, Mary Jane coped with the emotional trauma by acting with an extroverted personality, which was useful in her pursuits of an acting career.

Mary Jane is also shown to be a dedicated person as she kept pursuing her acting career and worked hard to open a business.

Due to her training as an actress, she also has great insight and almost always knows when someone is pretending or lying. She is also an exceptionally trustworthy character, having kept Peter's identity as Spider-Man secret.

Her friendship with Gwen Stacy exemplified Mary Jane's extroverted nature and willingness to be around others, such as her dating Harry but also flirting with Peter and other guys they knew.

After Gwen's death, a distraught Peter lashed out at Mary Jane for not caring, but despite the harsh words and instead of leaving with indignation, she stayed to be with a grieving Peter out of her compassion and empathy for his situation.

In fact, her relationship with Peter is one of the factors that most defines Mary Jane.

Because of her coexistence with his superhero life, while she initially suffered a great deal of stress and insecurity from worrying about him, Mary Jane would improve her perception of herself as she matured.

In general, even after so many troubles that have plagued them over the years, they always ended up reconnecting and supporting each other.

Daily Dog Challenge 2004. "Tell A Story"

Once upon a time, there was a brave and loyal Golden Retriever who spent his every waking hour watching over his Lacrosse Ball?

Golden Retrievers are definitely typecast as one of the Good Guys - and rightly so.

Their breed standard practically reads like the Boy Scout Law.

"Temperament: Friendly, reliable, and trustworthy"

... with "... displaying a kindly expression and possessing a personality that is eager, alert and self-confident." thrown in for good measure.

(The Boy Scout Law: "A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.")

Day 39 - February 8, 2010

A footstool can be used for various purposes. By definition a footstool is basically used for support in order to reach a high object - something you step on. It can also be used as a chair - something you sit on. In some cases its used for decorative purposes - something you place something on; all of which have one thing in common...TRUST.

When we stand or sit on a footstool or place something precious on top of it, we put our complete trust in it, knowing that it is strong and stable enough to carry our weight or that of what we hold dear.

In life we can sometimes play the part of the humble footstool. Sometimes we feel like we are often stepped on, used, abused, and taken advantage of by people around us.

Perhaps it's not because we are worthless, but instead, very reliable, capable, and trustworthy. Albeit taken for granted, we are the footstool that supports others to reach the heights that they are aiming for. In doing so, we also serve our purpose.

God with us.

"This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost."

1 Timothy 1:15

This concludes my build a day for the month of November 2025.

Like last year, I am quite exhausted and ready for a more peaceful December. I am really excited for advent and meditating on Christ our savior, coming down to earth: God with us.

I could not have accomplished this month without daily being in the Word and being renewed by the Spirit. The Lord gave me strength, all glory be his name!

I think I have about three other builds to make in December, but I'm not sure when they will be posted. (Christmas related and all)

Thanks for following along!

Spend some time with the Lord this holiday season, he is literally what it's all about!

Read the Bible for yourself. Allow the Lord to speak to you through his Word. YOUR ETERNITY IS AT STAKE!

After long search for (more) wild subjects I ended up to take picture of my trustworthy scout once again.

June is not a trustworthy month hereabouts. But I'm usually willing to go along with it when it starts showing off. Today I saw my first lupins of the season showing colour.

"Four Sisters" is already the name of a restaurant, grill, snack bar, and more. But that is not what this photo is about.

This is, I believe, the only photo of all four of us in one place at the same time.

A good sister demonstrates qualities of honesty, loyalty and trustworthiness. She communicates with her siblings and doesn't forget what's important to them. As a sister, she's there in times of need and in times of celebration. Even from afar, simple acts can demonstrate a desire to be a better sister.

I've other very important GF's whom I consider a dear sister. But this photo is unique after having tried to get us all together for over a year.

Love them all,

Nora

The kids are finally off to bed and Rockstar is quietly playing his guitar. Mara enters the living room to answer the rest of his burning questions.

As she takes a seat next to him on the couch, she begins to explain that Brickwood City was once a peaceful city but has grown corrupt under the influence of a crime boss only known as Mr. Pink, who leads a powerful criminal organisation, hellbent to take over the city.

"Before City Pizza I was working as a humble nurse for City hospital. But i grew tired of the lies and being pressured by my superiors not to reveal the truth that innocent citizens were brutally assaulted by bent cops."

"So I eventually quit and began my own pizza place."

Rockstar replies, that it was very brave of her to make that decision...

Mara also tells Rockstar that she knew him as one of the few good and trustworthy City policemen who helped her and the community out on many occasions.

As most City policemen in this city are corrupt and in league with Mr. Pink and his criminal organisation.

Surprised to hear that he is a cop in this town Rockstar asks Mara if there are still more good cops out there.

Mara replies; "Well... I know only one... your police partner Ben!"

Rockstar remembers having a best friend named Ben from his own reality.

"Could it be him? Are there other versions of people I know in this world?"

Notice the MCU! These are not comic characters, but rather characters that have only appeared in MCU films so far.

10. Thor: A character I did not like at first, but has grown on me since Thor 2 and both Avengers. Gotta love that hammer.

9: Rocket Raccoon: Gotta love the swearing, alcoholic, genetically enhanced creature that resembles a Raccoon. Then give it Bradley Cooper's voice and you got a great character.

8: Star Lord: Chris Pratt and 70's music. That is all.

7: Ultron: Although his back story and motivation were rushed in AOU, I still really enjoyed the Character. Still a better bad guy than Loki. (I don't like Loki)

6: Captain America: Another character I did not like at first, but The Winter Soldier film really warmed me up to the character. He was pretty badass in AOU to, and I love his morals to. He may not be the strongest Avenger, but he is defiantly the most trustworthy and good hearted one on the team.

5: The Vision: He has only appeared briefly in one film, but I already love the character, and I really want to see more of him in the MCU. Also, i'm a sucker for a British accent. Give a character one and i'm sure to love it.

4: The Hulk: Hulk smash. That is all. Not really. Love how Banner has to constantly worry about transforming into the Hulk. Also love the pure power Hulk has.

3: Spiderman: Say what you want about any of the film franchises, (but Spiderman 3 and The Amazing Spiderman 2 are absolute turds), but Spiderman is an awesome character. It's fun to watch him web swing and jump around the city. He also has probably the best rouges gallery in the Marvel Universe.

2: Ironman: Even though Ironmans character was almost ruined with Ironman 3, the first film still overrides it. Robert Downey Jr. owns this role. The first Ironman film is one of Marvels best, and it still remains one of my favorites. Love the suit, love the personality, love the character.

1: Groot: go ahead and call me a fake Guardians fan. Yea, I've only seen the film. I don't read the comics. I don't care. Guardians of The Galaxy is by far my favorite Marvel film, and Groot is now my favorite MCU character. I love his personality, design, and powers. He's just awesome. A gental giant that wouldn't hurt a fly unless you piss him off. I love it. Groot won my heart with three words, "I am Groot".....exclusively in that order.

So what do you think? What are your top 10 favorite MCU characters.

And who knows, this list will probably change as new movies come out. I might like Antman or Black Panther, but we will just have to wait and see.

G07, the triweekly Madison District local sets out empties for Battle Lumber at the now defunct Georgia Pacific plant a few south of downtown Monticello, Georgia. The weeks's power has been a set of worn but still trustworthy high hood GP38-2s which are a disappearing mark of southeastern branch line railroading that we've all known. September 2, 2016

That is what I think, anyway.

This particular machine, Silvia, is a work horse, a tank, and and the old reliable (as long as you maintain it, that sort of thing). It needs to be a perfectly concerted effort with the grinder, Silvia, and you. It takes more than a little while for you to brew a perfect shot of espresso. Probably the hardest part is to find beans that are roasted fresh and more importantly consistent. I have a guy locally that owns a coffee shop and he roasts himself on site. I have never asked what his espresso blends consist of, because it is consistent and I get the same shot that I expect every time now.

Rancilio is an Italian company that used to specialize in (still do) industrial grade espresso machines. But this one, named Silvia, like a trustworthy live-in housekeeper, was designed for household use. A cafe quality espresso at home, and Silvia does that. You perfect you own espresso and then everybody else's espresso taste like complete shit.

If you are buying one, there are few things to keep in mind:

1) Buy the Rancilio grinder. Don't go cheap on that. It is not that expensive. About $450, I think. WIthout it, your espresso will never amount to anything worth mentioning (or should I say, shit?)

2) Buy a 24 hour plug in timer. Set it to turn on one hour before you are to use every morning. It works best when it is hot.

3) Decalcifier - or whatever it is, the stuff that de-clogs it, you need to a bunch of. Do it once a month. Others do more frequently (because they have issues of their own).

4) You will impress chics with this if you ever get far enough bring a girl into your apartment. FIre it up, Chief.

Masked masks

People tend to read character traits, such as trustworthiness or aggression, from faces. Masks have made it harder to pick up on customary cues. The realization that this virus is a collective problem that mask-wearing can help address has slowly taken root.

After the withdrawal of WR individualistic loco types earlier in the year, it was time to re-focus on other regions of BR and try to savour other types. Unfortunately, the WR was not the only region to have to weed out classes of locos in that long pursuit of standardisation. Minority representation was one thing, unsuitability was something extra and unfortunately there were loco types which were withdrawn on account of their claimed unreliability.

Here at Blair Atholl, Class 25's rule the roost. Their predecessors, the Class 24's were from the same stable but were sound performers, you might say, and fairly numerous. Previous Type 2's were the NBL diesel electric version of the WR type.

NBL diesels have been much maligned, and whatever the true scale of the problem - or not maybe - Scottish Region has much remote areas of route operation where their locos need to be trustworthy.

It didn't take long for their early involvement with the NBL Type 2 to become problematical to the point where replacements were sought. Class 26 and 27 filled the void left by the removal of the NBL type and also the Claytons, after an attempt to re engine some in the hope of improvement.

The 24, 25, 26 and 27 locos gave sterling service and Class 40's with their extra power served well too. The 47's were kept at bay for years apart from the occasional service.

It is open to question as to the use of Type 2's in pairs to the extent practiced, on both freight and passenger work. Given the experiences of the Type 4's across BR which can be said to be mostly underwhelming, there wasn't much scope for avoiding such double heading.

In any event, there was always an apparent shortage of Type 4 locos, which were needed to be transferred to WR as replacements for the non standard types there. It took much longer than expected to force them out of action!

It would have been interesting to have seen what the Peaks could do and the WR Type 4's; given the speed constraints, the problems with the hydraulic locos bogie riding problem at speed, that wouldn't have mattered.

Maybe there really was an attitude towards the potential of the better hydraulics which prevented an experiment of their suitability for use in Scotland, and maybe elsewhere.

We can only wonder.

These usually show up on my yard; but my trustworthy dog Dew usually takes care of scaring them away... I had a chance to take a pic of this one last week, seconds before Dew did his job.. ;-)
