Every time I'm close to the entrance of the Antelope Canyon it is the same thrill; all my thoughts are all about how to shot it this time, where to focus, what light condition I'll find, how much crowd, how many ISO, freehand on my legs or lean to something or bring the tripod. The camera is set to manual, the lens is my trustworthy Nikon 16-35. Now it is the time to go inside and another challenge against the time will begin.. One day I hope to be famous enough to have all the time of this world to shoot inside it, meanwhile here's another HDR result.

Canada Goose (Branta canadensis ) - 20230530-01
A large brown goose with a black neck and white chinstrap. Overall size, bill size, and brown coloration variable across subspecies. Occurs in any open or wetland habitat, from city parks and golf courses to pristine marshes and Arctic tundra. Typically in flocks or family groups. Often seen in mixed flocks with Cackling Goose, especially in central and western North America. Canada Goose is almost always larger, longer-necked, and longer-billed than Cackling, although beware there is some overlap between the smallest Canada and largest Cackling. Abundant and widespread throughout the U.S. and Canada; rare in Mexico. Introduced and widely established in Europe. Listen for loud honking calls, especially as flocks migrate overhead in the classic V formation. (eBird)

Canada Geese are fiercely protective of their goslings and are very good parents. This large family had been walking along the dike but as we approached, the parents led their little ones away from us. Unfortunately, there was no room to pass and we couldn't explain to dad that we were trustworthy, so in the end they slipped down the bank and into the water.

Ataraxia
(Ἀταραξία "tranquility") is a Greek term used by Pyrrho and Epicurus for a lucid state, characterized by freedom from worry or any other preoccupation.
For the Epicureans, ataraxia was synonymous with the only true happiness possible for a person.
It signifies the state of robust tranquility that derives from eschewing faith in an afterlife, not fearing the gods because they are distant and unconcerned with us, avoiding politics and vexatious people, surrounding oneself with trustworthy and affectionate friends and, most importantly, being an affectionate, virtuous person, worthy of trust.

You are righteous, Lord,
and your laws are right.
The statutes you have laid down are righteous;
they are fully trustworthy.
My zeal wears me out,
for my enemies ignore your words.
Your promises have been thoroughly tested,

«I took the cat Barone to Bagnolo where we had the campaign with Angelo Canevari. I saw the children playing ball, but what they had at their feet was a kitten. We took him to the vet who looked after horses and cows and he never cared for a cat. He said "he will not live more than a month": he lived for 18 years. He was my daughter Mariolina's official boyfriend. I happened to do a television broadcast with a great ethologist to whom I told the story of my cat Baron and he told me: "Don't disappoint him". "But do you want me to marry my daughter?" I asked him. He told me "no, but don't make him think of being a cat. If he understands it goes away ".
For 18 years I tried not to let him know that he was a cat. He was my faithful adviser. When he turned his back to me it meant that mine was not a serious subject. If he was looking at me thoughtfully, it meant that the topic had to be deepened.
This is why I remember him as one of the most trustworthy and intelligent advisors.
I'm not one of those who treats a cat like a child. A child is a child, a cat is a cat. But Baron was more than a friend to me. A true councilor. When I wrote my novels, I always asked him what he thought of it. If he kept looking at me, it was a positive judgment. If he turned and left with a straight tail, then it meant that I had to change direction too. "

After breaking free of the crime boss who'd had her captured and trained to be a remorseless killing machine (leaving a trail of bodies in the wake of her escape), Nikita moved to a small town, cut her locks, changed her name, and has been living a quiet, reclusive life. She retained a few trustworthy contacts who've kept her updated on Sniper Girl's exploits. As long as Sniper Girl is never assigned to eliminate someone in this small town (which Nikita is sure will never happen), there's no chance that her presence will be discovered.

My recent trip to Scotland to show my son around made me realise how much some things have changed, non more than Skye, here floating in the sea. My first trip in the 70's included many single-track roads, ferries, pot holes, few if any places to eat. We had to write a letter to the owner of the Glen Brittle hut to prove we were genuine and trustworthy....the 'shop' there was in a little house over a tiny footbridge. There were no coffee shops and maybe a few hotels with a bar, but barely a pub. There were no carparks at the 'honeypots' as there are now, and few paths into the hills....you found your own way. Now, on Skye, basically, it's the opposite of all of those things. Better???...well, in some ways, but I preferred the true magic of a world apart, even though you couldn't get a decent coffee!!

"Your feelings about color are often deeply personal and rooted in your own experience or culture.
Research has demonstrated in many cases that the mood-altering effects of color may only be temporary. A blue room may initially cause feelings of calm, but the effect dissipates after a short period of time.
Color can play an important role in conveying information, creating certain moods, and even influencing the decisions people make. Color preferences also exert an influence on the objects people choose to purchase, the clothes they wear, and the way they adorn their environments.
People often select objects in colors that evoke certain moods or feelings, such as selecting a car color that seems sporty, futuristic, sleek, or trustworthy. Room colors can also be used to evoke specific moods, such as painting a bedroom a soft green to create a peaceful mood.
So what's the bottom line? Experts have found that while color can have an influence on how we feel and act, these effects are subject to personal, cultural, and situational factors. More scientific research is needed to gain a better understanding of color psychology."

I can't believe its been near 10 years from when I first met Axl, then Peele. We grew instant friends, and roleplay friends. There was some time where we were seperated, but a few months back, we met up again, in different avatars and different roleplays. To say I am beyond happy to have him back in my life is an understatement. One of my favorite people, always trustworthy and reliable. Someone you don't have to feel uncomfortable being yourself around. A True Friend. Love ya Axl <3 Can't wait to find out what has in store with us for the future.

This is Skaga stave church. It is the third stave church at this place - and it dates to 2001.
The original, dated to the 12th century, was built close to an old sacred well from (possibly) pagan times. There are a lot of legends surrounding this little church, more than perhaps trustworthy history, including how the founder of the church (a woman named Skaga) was saved as an infant by a dog when her father wanted her dead and placed her in the woods, and that the church fell out of use after the Black Death and the area was abandoned - that is quite possible, but the legend continues that the church was re-discovered 'several hundred years later'. I wonder how much you would find of a abandoned wooden building several centuries later... Be that as it may, the church stood there until 1826 when it was pulled down. A copy of the medieval church was built in 1957–58 and inaugurated in 1960. But the church burnt down in 2000. Just a year later a third incarnation of the church, the one still present, was opened to the public. (Well, it is open if you come at the right time - when we passed by the place was closed.)

One of Nikita's remaining, trustworthy contacts requests a meeting at a large church in a city about two hours from the tiny town where Nikita's been in hiding, retired.
He explains there's a rumor that her former boss, Sniper Girl's current boss, has trained a replacement, not only for Nikita, but potentially for Sniper Girl.
Nikita doesn't care if she's replaced, she figured she would be, but her informant asks how she feels about the danger possibly facing Sniper Girl.
Nikita tells him she doesn't care, that she and Sniper Girl were rivals, not friends, and neither owes the other anything.
He observes that maybe, people like them, owe more than they can ever repay, so why bother trying.
After he leaves, Nikita stares at the large doors of the old church.

The Firth of Forth occupies a strategic location as a link between the northeast and southeast Scotland.
To cross it however, was very dangerous: the so frequent storms, the ferryboats so little trustworthy... and even up to the 18th century existed the possibility of pirate attacks.
Therefore, the Parliament decided to build a railway bridge that crossed the bay.
Forth Bridge was built between 1883 and 1890, to solve these problems.
It is a cantilever bridge, for railroad crossing the Firth of Forth, eastern Scotland (UK), 14 km from the center of Edinburgh.
The bridge is considered even today as a masterpiece of Victorian engineering.

In Snæfellsnes. 8000 year old lava tube created by volcanic eruption from a nearby crater. When the lava river dryed from underneath the crust surface it left behind empty tube with roof on top that gradually cooled down.
The roof may not look trustworthy, but the experience tells that stones falling from the roof happen mainly while the tube is relatively new. In Reykjanes with all its seizmic activity there is very very seldom that stones fall from the roof of the many lavatubes in similar caves.
Ataraxia (Ἀταραξία "tranquility") is a Greek term used by Pyrrho and Epicurus for a lucid state, characterized by freedom from worry or any other preoccupation.

Taipei branch office of Nippon Kangyo Bank opened on January 12, 1923. The bank was founded to finance the opening up of land for cultivation, construction, irrigation, and agriculture. It was the only bank in Taiwan to finance real estate and land cultivation deals. As its financial dealings grew year by year, it began to expand into other areas, and invested a great deal in constructing a new location. Supervised by Kangyo Bank’s Construction Division, Obayashi Corporation broke ground in 1932 and, by 1933, the RC structure was complete and opened to the public. The building is located on a street corner. The exterior consists of 13 stout columns positioned in close proximity. The columns, which incorporate design elements taken from classical Western columns as well as the traditional Taiwanese pavilion style, create a stunning visual impact and give an impression of prudence and trustworthiness. The generous pilasters and eaves, along with the unique column stigma, walls, cornices, and richly patterned parapet walls, are an excellent example of the hybrid architecture popular during the Showa period (1926-1989), typified by a combination of Japanese sensibilities with Western classical styles.

A sunset can be looked upon straight on
You will see the different colors as the minutes go by
All clearly
And that's it
Easy Peasy and wonderful
Sometimes you might see the sunset from a different angle
It can be a bit blurry
Still colorful
But you will see it all differently
How healthy isn't that
We need input to grow
Either it is from people around you or circumstances that occurs
Seeing things from a different perspective requires some kind of input
Having someone trustworthy to talk to is my favorite, at least after I actually got my best friend ever into my life
But it could be as easy as having a monolog, I've solved so many issues by doing that
Just hearing you say your own words are pretty amazing
The conclusions you might come up with can be mind blowing
And yes, it clears your mind
No wonder it is mind blowing
And me crawling on the ground to get you this angle must have been quite a sight for the neighbors here
Probably mind blowing that too
Lol
Yes yes - That's me
The tree saw itself and felt empowered
It heard about the genocide
Of friends and family in the forest
Just to build something for humans
Sturdy and trustworthy
These same beings
Didn’t care about the desolation and loss
The depression they inflicted
Forgotten in every day moments of
Work work work and a little bit of video
Meanwhile, the forest was stripped bare
Until the haunting and day of revenge
I’ll show you what it is like when the outside
Breaks in
Branches will shatter dishes
Scratch up your floors
Shred your clothes
Invade your cupboards
Leaves make linoleum treacherous
And then you will see
Who is truly endangered
And who is still filled with might
This tree will outlive you
And your children and children’s children
You cannot kill a tree
With a mere axe or saw
(That handle may even an accomplice and forest friend)
You cannot murder the collective consciousness of nature
It will instead invade your home and imagination.

A lifetime ago your hope was brutally stolen from you, leaving you with no memory of a “before.” Though you were crushed you fervently searched for hope, and in your quest had your hope repeatedly trampled. So you abandoned your journey to find hope, giving up, withdrawing and withering away. And now, after many years, it is amazing the amount of time, energy, hard work, effort and countless other resources you have invested as you continue looking for lost hope. A lot of the time you still lack hope, are learning to borrow hope from trustworthy people in your life—which serves as a reminder of the hope of God’s faithfulness—and are slowly growing at a pace appropriate for you in your journey of looking for lost hope.

This was a little jar of dandelions that Hannah (our youngest daughter) put on the windowsill. I saw these drooping dandelions as they were withering away and it reminded me of lost hope. I captured what I saw and this image inspired these thoughts.

I composed this image while visiting the ghost town of Dorothy, during a road trip to Southeast Alberta, Canada.
It is of a rusted out Jeep-like vehicle resting in a vacant field while facing the beauty of the Red Deer River Valley.
I prefer to believe that the vehicle had been thoughtfully placed in this lovely site by its long-term owner. It had been a trustworthy partner, had worked hard, and had earned a tiime of rest in a place of peace and beauty.
Ode to a lazy Sunday and reminiscing of that time of year called Spring, it really does become a noted paradox that we look forward to Christmas and New Year, yet when all that jumping up and down is finished with, Winter truly starts, and by the middle of February, speaking for myself, I yearn for Spring again, which might I add, is my favourite time of year, so thus above I took last July, which I know is actually Summer but still, I was surprise such a full bloom flower beyond May & June.
And so now, on a completely different note, I wanted to let you good people know of a new venture I have engaged in, Trade Republic is an easy to use, fully interactive and trustworthy Investor Platform for Stocks and Shares. I have already put into a couple of quid into XRP and when I next get paid will invest more fully.
Please link of “All My Links” and check it out for yourself, yes that is a referral link and yes, I get a tiny payment at no expense to yourselves, if you sign up, but, here’s the thing, there’s so much cynicism directed at such volleying of one’s money, but better have that investment in your hands when you can do some good with it. Let’s change the world together one coin at a time!
Please do check it out!
In the meantime, I hope everyone is well and so as always thank you! 😊

For the Pyrrhonians, owing to one's inability to say which sense impressions are true and which ones are false, it is the quietude that arises from suspending judgment on dogmatic beliefs or anything non-evident and continuing to inquire. The experience was said to have fallen on the painter Apelles who was trying to paint the foamy saliva of a horse. He was so unsuccessful that, in a rage, he gave up and threw the sponge he was cleaning his brushes with at the medium, thus producing the effect of the horse's foam.
The Stoics, too, sought mental tranquility, and saw ataraxia as something to be desired and often made use of the term, but for them the analogous state, attained by the Stoic sage, was apatheia or absence of passion

Last night a letter arrived unexpectedly from my beloved.
She said: "My heart has seen the pangs of the resurrection in being parted from you."
I said: "Does your loving heart have some sign of suffering?"
She said: "Are not the tears in my eye enough of a sign for you?"
She said: "What are you planning?"
I said: "A journey."
She said: "Go in health, happiness and safety?"
I said: "You are not trustworthy."
She said: "Test me!"
[| replied:] " Whoever tests an experienced person will surely regret it.'
I said: "Farewell! You shall not come and conquer my breast."
She said: "So you want union with me in secret? No, by grace!"
She said: "Take hold of my tresses!"
I said: "Scandal will come"
She said: "Do you really not know about love and scandal?"
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.
The Lord upholds all who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down.

Gleason Falls, Hillsborough, New Hampshire. Road trip adventures are my favorite. If you've never been to Hillsborough NH's five stone arch bridges, they are worth a visit. The bridges were constructed with great precision, and cut to exact size, as each one had to fit perfectly. There is no mortar holding the stones together, as limestone mortar was not trustworthy at the time. The fact that this bridge and three others nearby support daily traffic and were built 170 years ago is truly a marvelous engineering feat. If you bike or drive to Gleason Falls from town, you will also see Carr Bridge on the way, a beautifully constructed dual arch stone bridge.

This idyllic-looking place near Kanchanaburi in Thailand really bears that name.
And that's not because of the very unstable wooden structure over which the train is traveling, even from a distance. Although I could definitely understand that, because up close it doesn't really look any more trustworthy.
No, this railway line bears its name because of its history. To be precise, the story of its creation.
During the Second World War, when this entire region was occupied by Japanese troops, they decided for military tactical reasons to build a 415 km long railway line from Thanbyuzayat in Burma (now Myanmar) to Ban Pong in Thailand. The railway line led over long stretches through very inhospitable terrain, over mountains, along steep rocks or through dense jungle.
The military recruited at least 250,000 civilians from the region and 10,000s of American, British and Australian prisoners of war to the tree.
During the construction period from June 1940 to October 1943, at least 90,000 civilians and more than 12,000 Allied prisoners of war died. Estimates even put up to 345,000 deaths.
Unfortunately, it absolutely deserves the name.
To this day it is difficult for me to even put into words the extent of this cruelty.

Do you still remember the photo of the death railway near Kanchanaburi in Thailand?
Here we are again at this place. To be more precise, I'm still standing in the same spot. Only the train has now moved in my direction.
Luckily for everyone, it drives very slowly at this point. Good for me because so I was able to quickly change the lens on my camera, change the setting and get back into position. But even more fortunately for the passengers sitting on this train, because the wooden structure looks no more trustworthy up close than it does from a distance (as you can probably see here). 6 trains cross this viaduct per day (3 in each direction). This is the first one of the day, because at seven in the morning there are hardly any tourists here and it is much more relaxed.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to ask the train driver whether he agreed to the publication of this photo. However, since he greeted me warmly as he drove past, I assume it's okay.
