Magnífica tarde la de ayer viendo a estos kamikazes sumergirse en la búsqueda de bancos de miles de pececillos.

It's unusual to find more than one passion flower blooming together so it was good to find these three when looking for a subject for Flowers in Vertical Photo for Smile on Saturday.

The peony or paeony is a flowering plant in the genus Paeonia, the only genus in the family Paeoniaceae. Peonies are native to Asia, Europe and Western North America. Scientists differ on the number of species that can be distinguished, ranging from 25 to 40, although the current consensus is 33 known species. Wikipedia

Feeding a family is difficult enough, without being harassed by a Baltimore Oriole. (see background) The Oriole would make a screeching sound when dive bombing the Barred Owl. This takes multitasking to a whole new level. Who said being a parent was easy!

I raced down to False Creek and got there just in time to catch this triple rainbow. (2 in the sky and 1 reflection). I don't recall ever seeing this before and was elated I caught it on camera. I had about 5 minutes of shooting before it vanished. nikon D800E

As i kept coming back to the single stock of 12 Tiger Lilies to see each day how the progress of blooms were coming....today is the triple tiger lily day. More exciting blooms to come your way.

All of these tiger lily shots are from June 2020.

Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul...Darrell.

Three grizzly bear cubs being as cute as can be :-). Mama bear was to the right of them grassing on grass. I took this photo from the safety of my car.

Hilda Peak, Mt. Athabasca and Boundary Peak rising above Alberta's Icefield Parkway caught my eye. Typical of what one sees and enjoys when driving thru the Canadian Rockies.

As always, thanks for taking a look. Much appreciated.

Funny I didn't even see the rainbows while shooting. Rained on soon after!

I just liked these 3 different walls near each other...so decided to take a picture. It’s an old abandoned factory next to an old railroad bridge that is not in use any longer.

Big wave breaks into three parts at Papohaku Beach, island of Molokai.

Three days of rolling in fresh coyote poop. Three days of baths. Dogs are wonderful....and sometimes they're not. UGHHHH. She knows she's in deep trouble but her instinct tells her to roll in it anyway.

This is an in camera multiple exposure (three images). I took it at the Lonsdale Quay from the end of the pier looking at the city. In the foreground is a bench at the left, and in the centre, a three step stand for people to sit on when they have entertainment on the pier. I could have shot from in front of them, but thought that they added some interest. Zoom in and take a look - there are a lot of interesting things to see :)

I know that multiple exposures aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I love to do them :)

Have no idea what happened here! Did not think about this phenomenon when I took the picture, was too busy capturing the moment. When I transferred the picture to the computer, three suns appeared! Maybe it has something to do with the morning mist that is close to the horizon, or maybe it is an effect of optical refraction. Or maybe it's because I took this picture through my living room window.
