venus fly trap and spark bug by Fred Conlon @ art city austin.

I ended up taking this guy home with me.

I dived into and underneath a cod trap while it was being hauled aboard to get photographs of what is looks like from the fish's perspective. These fish are trying to reach freedom but encounter the bottom of the trap where there is no hope for escape except for the small ones.

Berlin Holocaust Memorial

"Happy" 5 years of me and the states, or just LA, to be exact.

:)

What is happening to me?

My mouth is dry. My digits are numb.

My spine tingles and aches. My vision is blurred.

I hear only murmurs and echoes. I'm gasping for breath...

Oh my God! — This costume has become a cocoon!

Oh Hell! What have I done? I can't see or breathe or feel!

I am trapped in a prison of my own making!

I can smell my blood coagulating in my veins,

and my heart is slowing down until I can barely detect my own pulse!

I am becoming mummified...

This is not working! This is killing me!

Would I rather die inside than face those devils?

Is my fear so consuming that I would will myself

into this elaborate graven lie for all eternity?

Rotterdam viert de stad trap Timelapse, probeer dat eens heel snel te zeggen.

For the rest of the world, The city of Rotterdam is celebrating it's 75 years of rebuilding the city since ww2, these white stairs are a temporary project of it, (it will be here from today 'till June 12th) which leads to the roof of the "Groot Handelsgebouw" which houses a lot of companies and a few good restaurants.

Well.... I concept this shot in seconds... with its appearance, its title, its meanings, the need of a music...

It nearly took more to shot it !

But then... It's been a while, but I publish it only now... I've been a lot confused in the choice of the music... (see also comments to the best alternative...)

Probably because a photo can easily give a description of a concept, of a feeling, while a song tends to go more in deep with the reasons and the story...

And as the fog in the Phone Box... I'm too confused to analyse and chose a song...

Finally I simply came out with a masterpiece, because its a masterpiece of course, but also because, as a lot of Metallica's Songs, it gives a deep description of fact and feelings, but doesn't express about causes, and not gives a judgment, its left open... like this shot...

Metallica - Trapped Under Ice

I don't know how to live through this hell

Woken up, I'm still locked in this shell

Frozen soul, frozen down to the core

Break the ice, I can't take anymore

Freezing, can't move at all

Screaming, can't hear my call

I am dying to live

Cry out

I'm trapped under ice

Crystallized as I lay here and rest

Eyes of glass stare directly at death

From deep sleep I have broken away

No one knows, no one hears what I say

Freezing, can't move at all

Screaming, can't hear my call

I am dying to live

Cry out

I'm trapped under ice

Scream from my soul

Fate mystified

Hell forevermore

No release from my cryonic state

What is this? I've been stricken by fate

Wrapped up tight, cannot move, can't break free

Hand of doom has a tight grip on me

Freezing, can't move at all

Screaming, can't hear my call

I am dying to live

Cry out

I'm trapped under ice

My gnat trap discovery still works.

Just a bit of wine in the bottom of a wine glass. Put the glass near your bowl of fruit or bananas. A day or so later, they're dead and gone.

Tip: Strain before drinking.

Rail cars stored on the Mississippi-Tennessee Railroad (formerly Gulf, Mobile & Ohio and Illinois Central Gulf) south of downtown New Albany, MS.

At the time of this photo, these TTX cars were trapped, as the bridge just north of this rail yard was damaged by a U-Haul truck and had to be repaired before these cars could be moved.

The damaged bridge can be seen here: www.flickr.com/photos/pilotmkn/4283201558/

(Update April 2012 - This track has now been taken up and turned into a paved bike trail.)

And Scavenge Challenge #23 Costume yourself, a friend or a pet for a fun photo. I know this is a bit of a stretch. Not much of a costume (I put a hoody over my head), but I did have fun!.

"From the club went to her home, didn’t plan to stay that long

Here I am quickly trying to put on my clothes

Searching for my car keys trying to get on up out the door

Then she stretched her hands in front of me

Said “you can’t go this way”

Looked at her like she was crazy

Said “woman move out my way”

I Said “I got a wife at home”

She said “please don’t go out there”

“Lady I’ve got to get home”

She said her husband was coming from the stairs

“?? quiet, hurry up and get in the closet”

She said “don’t you make a sound or some shit is going down

I Said “why don’t I just go out the window”

“yes, except for one thing, we’re on the 5th floor”

Think, think… “quick put me in the closet”

And now I'm in this darkest closet trying to figure out

Just how I'm gonna get my crazy ass out this house

And he walks in and yells “I’m home”

She says “honey I'm in the room”

He walks in there with a smile on his face saying “honey I've been missing you”

She hops all over him and says “I've cooked and ran your bathwater”

I'm telling you now this girl is so good she deserves an Oscar

The girl’s in the bed he starts snatching her clothes off

I'm in the closet like man, what the f_ck is going on?

You’re not going to believe it but things get deeper as the story goes on

Next thing you know a call comes through on my cell phone

I tried my best to quickly put it on vibrate

But from the way he acted I could tell it was too late

He hopped up and said “there’s a mystery going on and I'm going to solve it”

And I'm like “God please don’t let this man open his closet”

He walks in the bathroom and looks behind the door

She says “baby come back to bed”

He says “say no more”

He pulls back the shower curtain while she’s biting her nails

Then he walks back to the room. Right now I'm sweating like hell

Checks under the bed

then under the dresser

He looks at the closet

I pull out my berretta

He walks up to the closet

He’s close up to the closet

Now he’s at the closet

Now he’s opening the closet..."

Sidebotham’s Trap Works, originally constructed in Wednesfield, near Wolverhampton in 1913, is a typical example of a small purpose built factory of the period.

Wednesfield was a major centre for the manufacture and worldwide export of small animal traps. The stencils hanging from the Belfast Truss roof were used to label the packing cases with destinations of ports in Australia, Africa, South America and many other far-flung destinations.
