And here is my top half. It’s pretty blank… I spent WAY too much time getting the girl right. Especially that damn hand. It’s supposed to look like it’s gripping the axe. Let me know if it’s distracting, or “blob-like.”
Um, the logo and text will go below the girl, once I figure that out. I’m a bit concerned that the two sides don’t look unified enough, so any advice for that would be awesome!
Overall, it doesn’t really feel like a design that would appear on a snowboard. But I just really wanted to do some detailed illustrations as my focus. So oh well!

Building a new top over the dome of the pizza oven. Florian builds a metal frame which he will later clad with cement sheeting and slate the roof.
The new top is clamped up to the kit guitar.. It will be a much prettier thing than they originally thought!

Essa é a foto escolhida como quinta melhor de 2018. Em parte, como as outras escolhas, por questões subjetivas nao necessariamente tecnicas. Nesse caso, há alguns motivos: 1º A situação em que a foto foi tirada, no meu primeiro campo do mestrado, meu orientador me chamou pra ver essa saída de colméia, adorei a cena e quis fotografar, para isso buscamos uma escada de madeira enorme na sede da reserva, carregamos pela trilha e eu me pendurei na arvore vizinha me aproximando da colmeia, camera em uma mão, flash na outra. obviamente após alguns quadros as abelhas cansaram de colaborar e me atacaram com a fofura típica. 2º sou apaixonado por abelhas, ver às abelhas sociais nativas em um tronco de arvore no meio de uma reserva, observando a morfologia da saída do ninho e o comportamento delas me passa uma emoção incrível. 3° ultimo e mais importante motivo, é a foto em si. Esse TOP 10 não é pensado em redes sociais, ou seja, algumas fotos não vão bem na telinha, mas muito bem em grandes impressões, essa é uma delas,a foto retrata a saída da colmeia, importante caráter taxonomico, e guardando a colmeia, ocupando um pequeno espaço do quadro, uma unica abelha pronta pra defender sua colmeia. Pra mim é uma imagem que discute a diferença na escala, uma cena miníma contêm elementos menores trazendo o observador para a escala das abelhas. Além disso, a única abelha está pronta pra defender sua colmeia, e não se importa em estar sozinha frente a uma "ameaça" muitas vezes maior que ela, se mostra valente e solitária

This is the photo chosen as the best fifth of 2018. In part, like the other choices, for subjective questions not necessarily technical. In this case, there are some reasons: 1º The situation in which the photo was taken, in my first master's degree field, my advisor called me to see this hive exit, I loved the scene and wanted to photograph, for that we searched for a huge wooden staircase in the reserve headquarters, we carried that trough the trail and so I hung on the neighboring tree approaching the hive, camera in one hand, flash in the other. obviously after some pictures the bees got tired of collaborating and attacked me with the typical cuteness. 2nd, I am in love with bees, seeing the native social bees on a tree trunk in the middle of a reserve, observing the morphology of the nest exit, and their behavior gives me an incredible emotion. 3rd and most important reason, is the photo itself. This TOP 10 was not thought of with social media in mind, that is, some photos do not go well on the small screen, but do on large prints, this is one of them. The photo depicts the exit of the hive, an important taxonomic character, and guarding the hive, occupying a small space of the frame, hangs a single bee ready to defend its hive. For me it is an image that discusses the difference in scale, a minimal scene contain smaller elements bringing the observer to the scale of the bees. In addition, the only bee is ready to defend its hive, and does not mind being alone in front of a "threat" many times bigger than it, she stands as brave and solitary guard
The skirt was made from very old linen, possibly from the 20's. I put in a growth pleat, and a sweet scallop edge. So simple, yet perfect for the feel I was going for.
This photo was taken in a village near Devanhalli. The boy in the picture was an expert at spinning the top on his palm.
