Hello!
My name is Aurélie, and I sewed this simple, comfortable top this spring. I used a pattern from "Tendances couture" (I think, I copied the pattern from a borrowed magazine and forgot to write down which one it was ...) from last year. The top has a bit of a waterfall neckline, so it is casual, but with a twist.
I used a blue and white striped knit fabric, for a compfortable feel, and adapted the pattern a bit so it would fit me better. I blogged more about here: lilimakes.blogspot.com/2012/03/summer-wardrobe-stripe-top...

Self drafted pattern.
Double layer knit top with cream trim above the bust and along the neckline. A layer of stretch lace peeks below the hem of the top.

John takes a break and contemplates the gloomy existence of those that lived at Top Withens.
Apparently Emily Bronte based the location of the house in Wuthering Heights on Top Withens, whilst the building in the book was actually inspired by her workplace in Southowram.
You don't get a feel for how bleak these windswept moors are until you walk down the valley and look back. I guess we did Top Withens backwards compared to the tourist trail who walk up from the valley in the far distance.

This is my entry for the 2017 LSB Contest in the "Overkill Oval" category:
The Devastator is a Heavy speeder. It's weight is mainly caused by it's huge chunks of very thick composite armor which protects the most crucial parts of the speeder. The Devastator mostly comes nearly undamaged out of it's battles. The Devastator is armed with a 30 mm Gatling cannon, which was assembled from the Grjasew-Schipunow GSch-30-2K machine cannons of the Mil Mi-24 "Hind". While this isn't the heaviest weapon in the Overkill Oval category it is one of the more reliable guns. The Devastator is powered by two medium sized jet engines. The speeder doesn't use heavy engines on this speeder because of the size limit in the back of the speeder at the end the medium engines just came out to have the much more power to size ratio. This speeder has huge hover pads under it's driver because of it's extreme weight, however, like with all Triton speeders, it has a very fragile landing gear which breaks down very fast. A big problem with the Devastator is it's bad maneuverability and it's rather poor top speed.

Not a month goes by without the big yellow Corona Extra bus seen prowling the streets of Manchester, normally up and around the Printworks. Here it is taking part in the Pride parade representing Canal Street stalwart bar Via.
