This specimen was probably larger than my hand before being broken, in whatever manner that it happened and it was recently uncovered by some light rainfall on one of the LOC roads.

This is my first try at V1282A. My version looks close to the top on the model. There isn't as much drape in the bust area. I didn't do a FBA. The neckline is extremely low. I brought it up about three inches. Too revealing Lol

I really like this top. It has nice draping below the bust. Also the front of the top is longer than the back to create the drape affect. So if you are going to make this, don't cut it off to "even up" the hem. It's suppose to be that way.

Top of Longhaven cliffs. There were a few on the go today.

This is my first attempt at using layer masks. I selected the almost white sky, messed about with curves, then inversed the selection to bump up the colours in the wall and roof. I did this using a graphics tablet and pen, also for the first time (that's going to take some getting used to!!).

I couldn't figure out how to remove the aerials as every time I tried, either using the clone stamp or healing brush, the original white sky showed through.

To access the web I use a laptop, but to work on images I use a desktop computer. This image looks darker and less colourful on my laptop.

Happy to be up here at last !

this one and the previous are taken during same drive home, both on traffic lights, I am fond equally of both

==============================

"top crop" pics are (re)posted in no particular order, 33 in total, I tried top 10 and there's no way I could restrict myself to 10, top 20 didn't work either, 33 made the cut (paddle up/down stream for more), I'll re-post 3 a day before the New Year

my hair really isn't long enough for a top-knot. if you saw the back of my head you'd think i had a mullet. grow, hair, grow!

I have found that a common problem with Petri rangefinder cameras is there is often "something" loose in the viewfinder, that becomes apparent when angling the camera up, then straight ahead, then up, or, sometimes when focusing.

The top comes easily off the camera. The black paper over the rangefinder assembly gets peeled back.

What I'd seen moving was the image of the photo frame lines. I had thought it was a loose viewfinder mask -- that would be the piece directly above the green glass, in my photo. But, that was not it. The loose piece was the angled mirror with the oval hole, which provides a reflected view of the viewfinder mask.

I removed the oval-hole mirror, and applied contact cement -- as glue -- with a toothpick. Then re-installed the mirror. I left the camera sitting at an angle, while the glue set up. Then, put down a few dabs of glue, and let the paper cover come back to it's normal position.

I have now done this with the Petri 7s, and the Petri Racer, which are of very similar design. AND, I've had to re-glue the same mirror in a Petri Color 35, which is a very different camera -- with a collapsible lens, and in the same class with a Rollei 35.

For the Petri Color 35, remove the rewind crank, and a collar that becomes visible on the rewind post. Remove the focus wheel. Set the shutter to 1/250, and aperture to f22, just so you'll remember, for re-assembly. Remove the screw on the right-hand side of the top cover. The cover then lifts free, with the shutter and aperture control wheels staying attached to the cover. 3 things to watch: the battery check button will probably fall away from the cover; if the camera is inverted, the shutter release post will fall out; I also had a super-thin brass bushing washer fall free, which I'm pretty sure came from the focus post.
