This Fisher Compact Disk Car Cassette Adapter is what I used in my previous car to play a CD through my car stereo (which had a cassette player). Insert the cassette into the cassette player, stick the plug into a socket on a portable CD player, and you're all set. I was going to put this in the "Gone but not forgotten" set, but realized that I want to forget about audio cassettes. I threw this thing away. Good riddance.

During our day in Road Town, British Virgin Islands, I walked over to the beautiful Joseph Reynold O'Neal Botanic Gardens. The roads were not clearly marked - but it was a relatively short walk from the cruise port to this wonderful garden. This is a description that I had for the gardens: "Located on Main St. several blocks inland from the waterfront, the gardens are built on the grounds of the old Government Agricultural Station. Only 4 acres, this often overlooked site is one of the prettiest spots on Tortola." Very inexpensive and definitely worth the trip. These were taken on a beautiful day (that had a few showers mixed in) on Wednesday February 19th, 2020. On board the Celebrity Equinox for Seth's Big Fat Broadway Cruise from February 15th to the 22nd, 2020. The itinerary includes stops in San Juan (Puerto Rico), Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands), Tortola (British Virgin Islands), Nassau (Bahamas) before returning to Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). The best part is that we are on Seth's Big Fat Broadway Cruise again!

AFSBn-Bagram, 401st AFSB said farewell to the Army Reserve Soldiers who have served with the battalion for the past year. Awards were presented and all enjoyed a luncheon and a few final moments together before ‘wheels up’ for the departing Soldiers. Thank you for all the hard work and friendship during the past year. Good luck as you return home to family and friends.

About the 401st:

The 401st Army field Support Brigade provides Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, and Marines, the tools and resources necessary to complete the mission. If they shoot, drive it, fly it, wear it, eat it or communicate with it, the 401st helps provide it. The brigade assists coalition partners with many of their logistical and sustainment needs. The brigade also handles the responsible disposition of equipment in Afghanistan to support evolving missions. We are the single link between Warfighters in the field, and working through Army Sustainment Command, we leverage Army Materiel Command’s worldwide Materiel Enterprise to develop, deliver, and sustain materiel to ensure a dominant joint force for the U.S. and our Allies.

The first owlet to leave at dusk; one of three chicks (female; by the tail bars)?, . Within seconds she has already clocked the camera lens moving on silent.

Both older owlets are now moving around finding their feet/wings! but one remains, less vocal than the other two by far.

We were incredibly fortunate to have the presence of Paramahamsa Vishwananda during the Christmas season at Shree Peetha Nilaya Ashram in Germany. On Christmas Eve, we enjoyed a lovely evening meal together, which included many inspiring talks. Guruji spoke about the importance of not wasting time and to celebrate one's life.

Christmas day was also filled with a family vibe inviting everyone to get together and eat a delicious meal put together by the wonderful kitchen team. Talks were given and Swami Revati spoke about the importance of the Satguru.

At the end of the year, we had a gender split Darshan, which means there were Darshans just for men and another just for women. Guruji had spoken about the importance of coming together and setting up bhajan groups as well as the importance of not being lazy. Laziness is a quality that stagnates oneself on any path, be it material or spiritual and so one should not waste the preciousness of life.

On New year's Eve the Bhakti TV had again delivered an incredible programme filled with insights and talks from guests in house as well as those abroad. Kirtan interludes were given and those attending were able to enjoy the show whilst enjoying a few snacks. The night continued into the temple where rocking kirtan filled the air from 9pm up until midnight. The first arati of the year was given by our Paramahamsa Vishwananda. Everyone then moved to the upper field to enjoy a wonderful fireworks display and finally the night concluded with an incredible DJ set given by Rishi Amaranimai das where people danced to the name of God with Psy trance music.

The following day was of course the new year celebration where Guruji had performed abhishek on his personal deities. At the same time Sathya Narayan Puja was also conducted. Guruji had concluded the prayer with a talk on how one must learn to accept the will of God and that all is for one's own good.

TO VIEW sit back from your monitor 2 feet and place your index finger about 10 inches in front of your eyes and focus on your finger. This will cause your eyes to go comfortably cross eyed. Keep that same cross eyed focus and notice there are now 3 photos in the back ground. Do not let your eyes leave the cross eye as you look at the middle picture which has appeared. Now increase or decrease how much your eyes are cross eyed until the image pops into 3D. Your eyes will want to leave the cross eye, but fight that urge. This is an acquired skill and takes practice. Stop if it's uncomfortable.

Midland Scooter Club Rememberance Run 7/11/2010

Close to the site of the once mighty Hailes Abbey, one of the foremost centres of pilgrimage in medieval England, sits this tiny church with no dedication, a simple two-cell nave and chancel, and for centuries the only functioning church here after the cathedral-sized building next-door was all but obliterated by the Dissolution.

It seems an unpretentious building but guards a secret, for within are substantial remains of the original 14th century wall paintings, coloured mainly red, orange and ochre., most of which are concentrated in the chancel, where the most prominent features are heraldic patterning and a series of mythical beasts situated over the side windows. The east window meanwhile contains elements of 15th century glass believed to be from the abbey church.

Hailes church is a little gem; the tragically scant remains of the abbey are the principal draw for visitors here, but this small church with its mural decoration is a more significant survival and shouldn't be missed.

The first few hundred photographs uploaded are of the cars and trikes as they were driving into the pit area in Hyde Park, London, before the start of the rally. I got 99% of the cars, it you don't see your car, I didn't photograph it.

Due to huge restrictions by the event organiser in 2017, I was severely restricted in the kind of photographs I had originally wanted to / planned to take - this includes the Hyde Park area.

Don't Talk To The Cops perform at Dick's Drive-In 60th Anniversary concert.

On September 15, 1942, not far from the village of Semiluki, a simple Russian woman, Praskovya Ivanovna Shchegoleva, performed an unprecedented feat. At the cost of her life and the lives of her children, she saved the pilot of a downed Soviet Il-2 attack aircraft, Mikhail Maltsev, from death.

On September 15, Praskovya Shchegoleva, along with her young children, nephew, and elderly mother, were digging potatoes in their own garden in the village of Semiluki, occupied by the Nazis. Suddenly, a Soviet plane appeared over a hill on the outskirts of the village, sharply descending. And indeed, a few moments later, the plane caught the edge of the hill, slid on its belly, stopped right in Shchegoleva’s garden, and caught fire. Praskovya and her family quickly ran to the burning attack aircraft, threw earth on it and helped the pilot, who was slightly wounded, to get out. Shchegoleva immediately sent her children for men's civilian clothes, and she quickly explained to the pilot how to get out of the village. As soon as the pilot managed to hide at the house, the Nazis drove up in a car. Praskovya Ivanovna warned her family that she would answer all questions herself. Shchegoleva answered all the fascists' questions in monosyllables: "I don't know, I didn't see." Then the Germans beat her eldest 12-year-old son Sasha and locked him in a barn, threatening to burn him alive. This did not help. Then the Germans began to set shepherd dogs on the young children and Shchegoleva's old mother. This also had no effect. Then the brutalized fascists shot the children in front of their mother, and then killed her too. Praskovya Shchegoleva's four young children, the youngest of whom was 2 years old, her 5-year-old nephew and 72-year-old mother, perished together with her. Mikhail Tikhonovich Maltsev, a pilot of the 825th Assault Aviation Regiment of the 225th Aviation Division, who was saved by Shchegoleva, actually managed to get out of the village, but was unable to cross the Don. He decided to hide in one of the abandoned houses, and at night to get a boat and try his luck the next day, but was handed over to the Germans by one of the local residents who noticed him. Maltsev ended up in a concentration camp, but survived, returned home to Bashkiria in 1945, and was awarded the Medal "For Courage" and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. The following year he came to Semiluki to pay his respects at the grave of his savior. That same day, he identified one of the women working in the collective farm field as the man who had betrayed him to the Germans... To mark the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, British High Commission in collaboration with Humsafar Trust hosted a panel discussion on how to reduce discrimination and misinformation about the LGBTQI community. The session was held at Lok Kala Manch, Lodhi Road in New Delhi on Friday 17 May 2019.

The panel discussion was moderated by Richard Barlow, Head Political and Bilateral Affairs. He reiterated the UK’s commitment to promote and protect the rights of all people everywhere. Follow us on Twitter @UKinIndia

My thanks to two people for making today a whole lot easier. First, to my honey, who came all the way out to my work to put on the spare and take my car to the tire shop (he only missed an hour of work; I would have missed at least three). Did I mention that it was 95 degrees today?

And second, to the nice guy on 610 this morning who let me know it was flat in the first place. If he hadn't honked to point it out, I might not have noticed until the end of the day.

Between the two of them, what could have been really dangerous and stressful turned out to be no big deal. So, random dude in the electric blue sedan - may you have a handful of random acts of kindness thrown back in your direction. And not-so-random lovely husband - you so rock.

P.S. To clarify, as Diana asked below - yes, this is "thanks," fingerspelled. (The sign for "thank you" involves the face, and my face was in no shape for photography...)
