FRAMES TO MY MUSIC VIDEO: COME BACK SPARKIN

WATCH IT HERE:

COME BACK SPARKIN is the title of this song and its music video.

SPARKIN should be spelled SPARKING, but I chose to spell it the way I pronounce it.

This is how I create language.

I grew up in urban environments and slang talk has always been my preferred way of expressing myself.

I always loved the level of creativity that could be applied to a language, and the power slang has in societies.

To COME BACK SPARKIN is to come back from a difficult situation while creating something absolutely beautiful out of it.

It is the act of overcoming an obstacle or obstacles no matter the level of difficulty.

We have the power as SuperHumans to take advantage of every situation.

In this song, I first remind myself, that I am the one who chooses to feel down or up, no one else:

No matter what i go through, it can't get me down

Go ahead, take a shot at me. All you are going to do is fuel the beast. In other words, help me excel to the next level:

I'm a Warrior at heart, kick me down !

See what happens, I COME BACK SPARKIN

Some individuals do a whole lot of talking, but their actions do not match their blah blah blah.

Or they spend most of their time talking, while never truly accomplishing and doing something about what they are talking about:

While you're barkin, I move in action !

Realising that I have no one to talk to and spending my time by myself because no one around me is real enough, or I do not relate to them:

Very lonely, no one to talk to

I gain consciousness of my HumanPower , and I choose to Keep My Head Up as Tupac told us.

Keep My Head Up, as I walk through

Dark tunnels, with no light dude

I then realize who I am: I'm the Light Myself.

This is the path of the Warrior. Check out Warrior of Light by Paolo Coehlo if you don't understand this.

I then invite those that feel the way I do to listen to me because I live it like you, and I am uplifting myself.

So join me, and we can lift ourselves together.

Listen to my music, if you need help

Coz I give you energy

The Power and the Will to overcome your enemy

When I say enemy some may think that I am talking about a person outside of themselves, but I am not:

Which is the ego, your own self

Get deeper into your self. Understand that money is a tool, and not the answer to life:

Money is a distraction

The answer to all is within you:

The True Wealth is the Inner

I am not one of those people who thinks money is evil and who does not want money.

I'm a physical being with 5 physical senses, so I enjoy things money allows me to do.

I want to be clear that this is not an anti-money campaign, it is about understanding its role and purpose in our lives.

I do not claim to have the answers, what I do is invite others to my journey.

I recorded this song 3 years ago, and so, being that I have evolved a lot since, I chose to focus this music video on these lyrics and not the remainder of the song.

They no longer apply to who I am today like they did when I wrote them.

The Art Direction of this music video is a continuation of my project THE REBIRTH in which I created an imaginary world where the unreal becomes real.

The quality of this Music Video is very poor, the camera was old and busted, so this is what it is.

I think it's cool to have the quality this fucked up because it's such a huge contrast to crisp HD imagery.

I love crisp HD quality as well :)

Lyrics:

No matter what i go through, it can't get me down

I'm a Warrior at heart, kick me down !

See what happens, I COME BACK SPARKIN

While you're barkin, I move in action !

I'm on a mission !

Very lonely, no one to talk to

Keep My Head Up, as I walk through

Dark tunnels, with no light dude

Actually, I'm The Light Myself

Listen to my music, if you need help

Coz I give you energy

The Power and the Will to overcome your enemy

Which is the ego, your own self

Money is a distraction

The True Wealth is the Inner

The mission of Rebuilding Together is to preserve and revitalize houses and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners, particularly those who are elderly and disabled, can live in warmth, safety, and independence.

It is in the spirit of NoLA Rising to help make a house a home through artwork donated by the coming together of the arts community. Is to hide the red in my eyes from getting very little sleep, or is it? haha

well it was another late night researching.

Bought myself some film 35mm slr's!!!

Canon EOS 620 and 650. They happen to be the first EOS cameras from Canon which were released in 1987. And that makes it a year younger then me. All that took me a whole 7 hours finding out what direction i wanted to go for film. All i need now is a dark room.

I also been doing tons of research on underwater housing and lighting. Lets just say i can't wait for summer!

Hong Kong Transport - Trucks

The Hong Kong Truck Culture

The number of Trucks, Vans* and Special Purpose Vehicles (Light, Medium & Heavy) registered + licenced in Hong Kong seems to fluctuate between 120,000 - 125,000 vehicles and presumably new trucks registered are offset by old trucks being retired or sold over the border in China.

*Vans are classified as Light Goods Vehicles and are not shown in this album

In Hong Kong Trucks are classified as GOODS VEHICLES By the Transport Department - see below

☛Light Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight not exceeding 5.5 tonnes.

☛Medium Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight exceeding 5.5 tonnes but not exceeding 24 tonnes.

☛Heavy Goods Vehicles - Goods vehicles of permitted gross vehicle weight exceeding 24 tonnes but not exceeding 38 tonnes.

The major truck types you tend to see in urban areas are trucks carrying construction materials or waste, dump trucks, concrete mixers and all sizes of delivery trucks... outside of the urban areas it is container trucks and large trucks carrying construction materials.

The following brands of Trucks can be seen on the streets of Hong Kong and include:-

Beiben ✚ Bell ✚ CAMC ✚ CNHTC ✚ DAF ✚ Dennis ✚ Dong Feng ✚ FAW ✚ Fuso ✚ Foton ✚ Ford ✚ Hino ✚ Howo ✚ Hyundai ✚ Isuzu ✚ Iveco ✚ JAC ✚ Kato ✚ KIA ✚ Liebherr ✚ MAN ✚ Mercedes Benz ✚ Mitsubishi ✚ Nissan ✚ Renault ✚ Scania ✚ Shacman ✚ Sinotruk ✚ Suzuki ✚ Toyota ✚ UD ✚ Volvo ✚ Zoomlion

Hong Kong is a brand conscious place even for trucks (!) hence the popularity of the European brands, Scania and Man are very popular and even the older trucks look the business and they are utterly reliable.

Isuzu is the market leader in terms of sale volume for all types of trucks.

Come if you want to play in the sand at: www.hiddenobjectgamesnow.net/game/283/Sand-Castle.html

Summer is definitely a time for fun. In every sense of that word, everything associated with summer is fun. First, it is fun the fact that the school is over and with it, our obligations as well. Second, we have so much time for thinking and planning how to spend the most beautiful long-awaited sunny 3 months. Maybe, all that is just because of the sun, but simple everything is pretty in summer. Streets, city, people, nature - everything is enchanting. Or perhaps, this is so because I personally like summer more than other seasons. The reason that I love summer the most is that you can go to the beach. You can bathe and insolate all day long. You can swim and you can make sand figures. You can run along the beach or you can surf, sail, and so on. What would you choose? I would definitely respond to the call of one adorable little girl to make together a sand castle. But, first we need to find all the needed figurines. Come on, what are you waiting for?

Sorry, I was really tired so I look a little.....tired. haha.

I'm going to try to make videos a little more often. I actually have a HD camera, that I might use instead of my crap quality webcam.

I'm TAGGING all of you, not literally, cause I'm too lazy, but let's just pretend I did. ;)

MAKE A VIDEO. Introduce yourself to your Flickr contacts, thank them, do shout outs, etc. Whatever you feel like doing. :D I just know I'd LOVE to see all of you in a video, instead of a picture for once! :) I feel this allows you to get to know someone on a more personal level.

If you make a video, let me know in the comments, or message me! I REALLY want to see them! :D

Going to see the Alexander Calder exhibition

Fruits and vegetables taste merely fantastic when grilled in addition to more traditional foods. Summer is here and it's time to break out the grill! With a lot fresh produce in season, it's a great time to attempt some new dishes. Of course, the excellent aspect of an abundant supply of fresh...

Back to the City 2017: Newtown Johannesburg

It was a beautiful sunday afternoon we were out to take pictures along the river. We were like kids: fun and young.

I borrow the title from the recent song of Taylor Swift just to remind myself to live full each day, no regrets, no "what if" and whenever I look back, they are all happiness and joys.

Zephyr over Donner, 2 Feb 2018

I took off most of Friday to not work over 40 hours, as my job does not want us working overtime unless there is an emergency.

Rather than sit around the house, I headed up Donner Pass to see what I could see in the way of trains.

I paralleled the UP Martinez Sub into Roseville. The only thing moving along there was light rail.

Roseville did not seem to have much happening, so I got set up at Galleria Blvd and got photos of the California Zephyr leaving town.

Onto the freeway and up to Bowman, just east of Auburn, California, were I shot #6 coming through the cut on the #2 track.

Rather than sit around the house, I headed up Donner Pass to see what I could see in the way of trainds. station, and I waited. And waited. An old car came by. The train's headlight dimmed. Still it did not move. I drove to the station to see what was happening and, of course, the train was gone when I got there. As a consolation prize, I went to the Red Frog Saloon and shot the train climbing toward Cape Horn. It seems to have crossed to the left main as it went through the tunnel rather than around the cliff.

My stomach was complaining, so I got a couple of burritos at Taco Bell before continuing the chase. Having lost time getting lunch, my next stop was Emigrant Gap, where I beat the train by a few minutes. Hardly any snow was on the ground at Emigrant Gap, elevation 5280'.

By Norden, the summit, things were a bit better in the snow department, but not the high walls of snow up there by this time in many years. The train passes through Tunnel 41 at the base of Mt. Judah and I've included a view from atop Mt. Judah from our hike last September to show the view looking the other way.

Continuing on Donner Pass Road, old US 40, I stopped at the Donner Lake scenic overlook and got a few photos of the lake, snowsheds and bridge before heading to the State Route 267 bridge east of Truckee to shoot the train leaving town. Mixed in with the sequence shot from the SR 267 bridge are view looking the other way from atop Mt. Judah in Sept 2017 and from trackside in Jan 2017, when Truckee had far more snow.

There is a short stretch east of Hirschdale where the railroad and highway are next to each other. I got there just in time to get a broadside of the P42 diesels as they passed and then the train on the curve. Another time, I'll try to get there in time for a slightly earlier shot.

Floriston was in shadow, but I liked the dramatic contrast with mountainsides still in the light.

By the time I got the car back on the road and caught up to the train, it was almost to Verdi, Nevada. The light was gorgeous just before Verdi, but I was not quite in position for shots there, so I kept going and stopped at a scenic overlook just west of the Mogul turnoff on the outskirts of Reno. A broadside of the train against the desert mountainside finished the day's train chase, and then it was a 2 hour drive back home to Sacramento.

Hope you like the photos. All taken on UP's line over Donner Pass in northern California. and Nevada

1974.

Trying to identify and date old photos I need to work out where we were and when. At the moment some dates are just a guess but as I scan and identify hopefully I can correct the errors.

Slides, April, Rayne, Essex.

Slides, August, Dundee, Scotland. Mick's wedding.

Black and white photos, Leigh on Sea, Essex.

Slides, September, Colchester Castle and Zoo, then Southend. With Tom Harding, Vin and George.

Black and white photos and contact prints, 23rd September, Rye, Sussex, with Dave Spall.

Contact prints, Tower Bridge, London, circa 1974. Maybe Alan's walk along the Thames.

(And the latest batch of Stereo slides are probably from about the same time.)

Bhutan-India 2014

After arriving at New Delhi, we slept for a few hours at the airport before heading to Guwahati in Assam (N-E India) with the Himalaya mountain range visible in the distance.

The visit to Guwahati was limited to 1 day, visiting the Assam National Museum and Temple of Kamakhya during the last days of the monsoon period. The next day we left already and we crossed the Bhramaputra river north to the Bhutan border to start our visit to the kingdom of Bhutan .

Bhutan to New Delhi We left Bhutan in Phuntsholing crossing the border with India and we headed for the airport of Bagdagra.

For sure a few hours to remember. At the end of the day we arrived again in New Delhi for 2 additional days in India.

Our first day in New Delhi was used for a citytour. Along all the sites and sounds from traffic, we visited some historic places like the Jama Masjid Mosque, Humayun's tomb, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib temple, India Gate and the Raj Ghat park, with the marble platform that marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.

On our last day, A very early departure for a 5 hour drive over the Yamuna Express way to Agra.

Visiting one of the 7 current World Miracles and the Unesco World Heritage site Taj Mahal temple, Agra Fort and also a brief visit the Little Taj Mahal temple.

We planned for exciting ‘Valley Isle Excursions’ –the incredible Maui tour to Hana…and Haleakalā. It was a trip surrounding the main island of Maui, starting in the morning and ending in the late afternoon. It was a small group Hawaiian Style tour in a 12 seater van. I may guarantee that your "Hana Day" will be one of the best days of your Maui vacation. The Road to Hana features waterfalls, rainforests, bamboo forests, sweeping ocean views, view rugged coastline and more, despite its 617 hairpin curves and 56 one-lane bridges.

You'll be in the hands of Maui’s best driving guides. Valley Isle Excursions’ Luxury Road to Hana Van Tours are hosted by professional guides who share more than just beautiful scenery and an experienced hand behind the wheel; they are incredibly knowledgeable about all things Hawaiian. When your day is complete, you will have received legends, history, stories, and personal insights to give you a real sense of the Hawaiian culture.

Tour starts early in the morning and hotel pickups are available from all major locations. After all the guests are picked up you will make your first stop of the day at Maui Lani Golf Course in Kahului where you will enjoy a light, Hawaiian-style continental breakfast featuring local jams, jellies, with a lovely view of the West Maui Mountains and the golf course.

Once out on the road, you will pass some of the most stunning scenery imaginable along 52 miles of road with 617 hairpin curves and 56 narrow, one-lane bridges. There are countless waterfalls created by the 56 streams that must be crossed on the road to Hana.

Local knowledge is so important because “the best” waterfalls change depending upon the amount of rainfall in the previous several hours at certain altitudes. Only someone who is intimately familiar with the area can predict which waterfalls will be the best to visit on a particular day. Moreover, your Valley Isle Excursions guide is trained to modify the tour according to the unique preferences of the group they are leading that day, so every day is slightly different.

Loch Lubnaig.. Quick break.

Day three, vital bike checks then some trusted WD40 and we are off! Well only down the road to a Tesco where we had a lovely big breakfast - just what you need before a long journey in the highlands!

Then it was off over the Forth Bridge from Edinburgh and skirting Sterling we headed up on the A84 admiring the Trossachs off to the left.. Then swapping the A84 to the A85 and then the A82 we crossed the Bridge of Orchy bringing us to the big lay-by which to me always feels like the start of Glen Coe although it isn’t really..

This next part of the ride which takes us up onto a big wide plateau is just lovely, then dropping down the actual Glen Coe bit is awesome the views are stunning.

Turning right over the bridge over Loch Leven leads us onto Fort William chasing a huge rainbow all the way in sunshine with the rain somewhere else!

Lunch break at Morrisons in Fort William and then off up along Loch Ness still on the A82 leading us straight into Inverness. The road alongside Loch Ness is another superb biking road, amazing to ride along it! We stopped halfway along for the pictures at Urquhart Castle and for a chance to stretch our legs again.

We arrived in Inverness in rush hour and needing to refuel asked for directions to our Travel Lodge as well.

Lovely day lots of sunshine and superb motorcycling roads!

210 miles today – refuelled twice..

Neutral evil is about someone not bowing down to government or Alpha, not even evil priest! They are demented people who want to enjoy killing and raising hell or psychopathic people who know right from wrong but don't care really being just about what they want and need even if they have to make someone miserable to get it! They aren't concerned about humanity; love, feelings, emotions and will for peace. They either get things or they kill countless innocences for it, otherwise they just feel liking killing you anyways!
