These tile spacers are awesome!
You'll note that in the previous picture, the tiles are perfectly aligned. It wasn't because we had steady hands that everything worked out, but rather because of these little tile spacer things.
We picked them up from our tile store and they are way easier to use than the ones at home dept. These have a single line on one side (for separating two tiles), and a cross on the other side (for keeping everything square when more than two tiles meet).
I would highly recommend these for anyone trying to install tiles.
finally we got to the tiling--the plumbing and prep was much more times consuming than we'd expected.

Today I did a walk arround our village and I was attracted by the different tiles of firewood with the contrast of the snow. And ofcourse there was a horse, giving the cold day some color.
What I liked: the faded, highly textured red definitely caught my eye, but the black-and-white tiles and the bit of concrete sidewalk seem to be essential, too.
