Some of the original tiles in the porch were cracked and broken. It took us a while to find suitable replacements but we think that we've found some which are a pretty close match in both colour and profile.
Chipping away the old tiles was a tricky and slow task as there was nearly no grout between the tiles so it would be very easy to crack a tile that didn't need replacing.
The row of narrow green tiles didn't need replacing but came away with the upper row. Thankfully they came away cleanly and were easily put back.
A selection of tiles used as part of the paving in London Road, Lowestoft. Some were extremely dull; these caught my eye. They all appear to have local themes: Lowestoft pottery, fishing industry, holiday resort, marshland, boating, etc.
