Not sure what it is and was afraid to ask.

Explored November 8th.

So I was just throwing stuff together and it came out so pretty, didn't it?! I feel like I am really finding my niche when it comes to fantasy!

I'm not a blogger but I still like to give shout outs and do appreciation posts for some of my favorite creators from time to time...and this is going to be one of them!

~

First of all, this pose is by Be My Mannequin? Pose Store and its called (Strangely Beautiful) 'SB Sitting.' I am always in love with this pose store because of how natural and versatile all the poses are. If I can squeeze in a pose from there in my pictures, I'm gonna do it!

These stunning, vibrant eyes are by none other than Gloom who is among my top favorite eye creators (he also does gorgeous skins too). This vibrant set of eyes is part of the Villain Collection: Pack 4 Neon 1

Hexumbra has some stunning makeups. I'm not normally one who finds any interest in makeup but I can't help but want to experiment with Hexumbra; especially for my fantasy looks! In this case I went with the Nova Eye Shadow #5, the Alita HD Lipstick, and Daisy Cheek Set (tinted teal).

Pariah is not for faint of heart but only in the best of ways! One of my favorite brow sets by them is the Weeb Trash Brows w/ dots for EvoX. Additionally the paleness of my skin is thanks to their Virus Body Powder (with ears overlay too). I love the soft paleness it brings over my usual tanned skin.

Nefekalum Tattoos has been a massive part of my fantasy kick as of late and man have they been inspiring me! The scales you see me wearing is the brand new Corra Scales #17! I had trouble deciding which set of scales to use!

You can't go wrong with Dura! Some of the most natural hairs I've ever loved came from them. Here I'm using B-129.

To help complete that look I really wanted, I added the fantastic Holy Hell Full Body Feathers by Aii & Ego! I can't begin to tell you how much I love the details on these feathers! Anyone who's anyone (and that's everyone) knows this is one THE places to go to for anything fantasy!

One of my absolute favorite landscapers is definitely Cerridwen's Cauldron. You can see a lot of this shop in my 'Eden' series which you can find in my albums! But in THIS picture, I used the Giant Puffball, the Mythspire Grey Rock, Gaia Underbrush (which has some incredible color options!), and the Glowing Quartz Crystal.

Hextraordinary's WIll-O'-The Wisp takes front stage as the object of interest as the fluttering creature you see!

Additionally I'm wearing Static's gorgeous Elst Eyes, Petrichor's Karzakk Collar, Conviction's The Claws V.2, and Noche's Roman Gold Cuffs.

I have no idea what this is, or what it's doing, but it's a little creepy.

It's finished. A hat just for me.

Not too difficult to do, other than trying to avoid getting an extra loop on/after the cable row. Have also started the scarf that goes with it.

For anyone interested : I've started a new group, feel free to join, if it's the sort of thing that suits you.

I had to move this weekend-- a mere three blocks, but it sure seemed like an epic journey with all of my stuff in tow. My new pad is smaller and trying to get everything to fit is sort of like doing the most complicated jigsaw puzzle ever. I've been unsuccessful so far.

While moving is The Worst Thing Ever, there was one really cool thing that came out of it-- I realized that I am very very lucky to have a lot of great, stand-up people in my life to whom I owe a huge debt of thanks (and my future promised moving labor). A thousand thank yous: Pat/a nameless yeast, Brett/bsivad, Eric/epmd, John/F1.4, Anita/Miscelena, the irrepressable Snelson, and Jason. You guys all totally rock.

The one thing about losing something in life is you also gain something too

I love you all

Guess who's turn it was to clean the kitchen. But chocolate milk and cigarettes were begging for consumption first!

Designed and folded by me, Chad Killeen. Folded from one uncut square of origamido paper. Designed ....um... some time ago, I don't know when. But revised in January 2009.

This model is almost identical to my previous cicada design with the exception of the pleated abdomen.

The paper is actually a shiny brown (which I was rather reluctant to use but I'm kinda running out of my nice paper) but in this lighting it came out looking green-ish, so thats good!

The only crazy little thing I could come up with on short notice was Papayahead. White Sands Resort, (not-at-all-like) Mombasa, 25-Mar 2007.

“In my own worst seasons I've come back from the colourless world of despair by forcing myself to look hard, for a long time, at a single glorious thing: a flame of red geranium outside my bedroom window. And then another: my daughter in a yellow dress. And another: the perfect outline of a full, dark sphere behind the crescent moon. Until I learned to be in love with my life again. Like a stroke victim retraining new parts of the brain to grasp lost skills, I have taught myself joy, over and over again.” - Barbara Kingsolver

Part inspired by the Flower Fairies illustrations, I grew up with these as a kid and always identified with the Blackthorn Fairy most, because she looked totally badass! Climbing on thorns, tattered clothes, my kinda fairy.

Today has been lovely, I woke up pretty shattered from yesterday's wedding and went to do some couple portraits about an hour's drive away - I'm able to sing in the car again (loudly) and I feel like this last week I've felt really grateful to be alive again.

That was one of the hardest things to get my head around after he died, I had no idea how I was going to ever WANT to be in this part of my life again. I read somewhere that life is only ever comparisons - the state of oneself with an old self, circumstances with other circumstances, etc etc. I loved life SO much before him, with him, that I couldn't see how it would ever compare. Letting go of the idea of comparison has been huge, moments are only ever moments, so if I want to sing loudly in the car then I will damn well sing until the moment comes to an end. And as my collection of wonderful moments grows, hopefully so will my overall perspective on the "enjoyableness" of my current present! Boom.

And yes, I was totally naked in a boggy moor on the roadside, here. RIP, my dignity.

I've had the thing for 3 days and it won't turn on. I am NOT impressed and this is almost the final straw. I'm thinking of selling ALL my Nikon gear and turning to Canon. I've never had so many problems. My D80 broke down not long after I got it too.

So now if my only option is to have it fixed, I'll probably have to wait several months before I can actually use it. And I have a wedding to practice on in a couple of weeks. Doesn't look like I can do that now.

I've tried a different lens and a different battery - still won't turn on. Earlier today, I had some problems - it wouldn't turn off and was taking strange pixelated photos as well as black photos and just before the shutter snapped, it would go completely out of focus. It doesn't acknowledge the battery at all (the batter meter doesn't show when you put it in). Shame I didn't keep those images... I never knew I would have a Lemon camera AGAIN.

I've tried the same lens and battery on the D80 and I have no problems.

Any ideas?

I'm yet to hear back from the company I purchased it through to see if I can either get a refund or a replacement, I'll be stuffed if I'm taking this to get fixed only for something else to go wrong down the track.

NOT IMPRESSED NIKON.

Sorry to cherrylassierusty - I won't be able to do the challenge this week - I thought I would at least post one photo into this pool using the piece of crap camera.

Sorry for the attitude, I'm just so sick of everything going wrong.

UPDATE: I have got in contact with the Ebay seller who has asked for me to send back and if DOA, they will offer a replacement!

Having struggled with Elements 12 for god knows how many years and only upgrading to Photoshop CC late last year I thought it was about time that I tried to get to grips with it properly as most of my uploads follow the same tried and trusted process flow.

So one of my many 2018 New Year resolutions is to try new things and see where it takes me. I'm not tying myself down to a 365 or a 52 week project but will post images in the hope of some good tips from you all. So here's my first attempt... I don't know if this is colour popping or selective colouring but it was far easier than I thought although I'll have to go back to the videos and make notes as I've a memory like a sieve or is it a goldfish... see I've forgotten already!

About the picture, we were just on our way for coffee and cake when Mrs R spotted this pink taxi... that's a bit different! Out came the camera and no sooner had I taken the first shot the taxi driver spotted me and wound his window up and turned his back on me... must be shy I thought! I rushed off to catch up with Mrs R who was on a mission to find the biggest cake, but checking my framing in the rear screen I wasn't happy with the symmetry (you know me) so went back for another go. Oh boy, was that taxi driver unhappy with me... he got out of his cab, shouted something, waved his hand in an ungentlemanly manner and stormed off to the pavement - that's him on the left.

Well... if you want to go unnoticed... don't paint yer cab pink!

A build/figure a long time in the making. Longer than I think I realize. I’ve been brainstorming on how to make a good looking Swamp Thing that didn’t make use of a big fig base as I wanted him to be more scaled down than the monstrous stature that is a big fig. I feel like this is a good middle from a normal figure and a big fig. The build, with how the legs are posed, stands only a head above a normal figure, giving the build a menacing look. I have plans to use this base for future characters which will be fun to figure out.
