Another oldie from last spring in the northern hemisphere... A tiny wildflower growing on a mountainside just north of Kelowna, in the Okanagan valley of British Columbia...
So the funny thing is I chased a Logger Strike around the park for about 3 months trying to get a good shot. I chased him so much that it occured to be I was most likely stressing him out. So I decieded that I should just give up. A couple days ago when I was out trying to photograph Manatees, guess who came to see me.

Born a year before the BN-SF merger, I've never experienced true Burlington Northern. The pieces of former BN equipment I've seen have all been patched or repainted for the most part. I suppose the nearly untouched cascade green caboose on the Cody local, coupled behind a BN covered hopper with minimal graffiti will have to do...

I have two Coopers Hawks that are hunting in my yard and they are here every day. This one is on my fence and he is watching a squirrel on the bird feeder.
Sonic Youth's "Kool Thing" could be one of the best rock songs ever. There's competition, for sure... but it's up there among the greats.

I'm clearly not OCD enough. I didn't make sure that every one of those black triangles around the edge have the side with the dot pointing upwards.

The above quotation basically sums up how I feel about photography. We find things that are treasures to us, and we photograph and share them. Like Show and Tell. Remember that from elementary school? ;) A whole year (and longer) slipped away since I took this photo, but I’m finally sharing this found thing with you.
Thank you to everyone for your recent, generous faves and supportive comments. It encourages me, and it’s appreciated more than you know. My apologies for not being able to follow everyone that follows me. With Flickr’s settings, it makes it challenging to follow too many people without being overwhelmed.
