A wonderful week dear friends ! : )

So sorry for some delay in catching up , i have my sister with me in vacations, but i will try to answer to all of you during the week ! : )

He may be the youngest FF,

but that won't stop him from taking down super villains! With his teleportation ability he has a fighting style that is truly his own.

(Character by BrickMilan)

I really like Recur's original design, but once again I had to come up with something else due to a lack of the right pieces. I'm just glad I have a pair of short legs. (They're actually blue, but some editing fixed that.) I hope you like it BrickMilan!

* (Update. This shrewd shark has recently been identified as a "nurse shark", with thanks and appreciation to the good folks at the Baltimore Aquarium. Sometimes, all you have to do is ask kindly and send a photo. Gmail gets the able assist.)

_________________________________________________

Which is to say that I photographed this handsome underwater specimen at the Baltimore Aquarium in the Inner Harbor area of downtown Baltimore, Maryland way back in 2011. What I once knew then I have now forgotten, the brain having deleted it in order to make new room for the latest information I need to remember.

So, the brain's memory serves me pretty well most of the time.

But I cannot recall what the informational sign told me as to what

species of fish I was admiring here. A shark is what I am guessing. But there are so many varieties, if a shark is what it is,

I have no idea. And I did check online sources and found out that the Chesapeake Bay does have sharks in its waters, multiple varieties in fact. Getting there, yes, but not hitting the bulls-eye.

An ichthyologist is an expert in the field of biology associated with the study of fish. Such a person can most certainly remind me what species of fish I have captured in this photographic image, because I cannot supply it here. I have sent a note to the

aquarium folks asking for their help. I would have to send them a photo first, I should think, because teleportation has not yet been invented. At least nobody told me. No response yet, but it is

Sunday. And Mother's Day. Everyone's probably out to dinner.

Aquariums are a marvelous place to visit, as many of you know.

But there are a few significant challenges there that are associated with making decent photographs within the facilities.

Generally low light levels predominate. In shooting through glass,

one will encounter finger smudges, scratches, and all manner of food stuffs and the like. And, lastly, shooting through water will affect your ability to focus correctly and to render suitably sharp

images. Physics I believe enters into it.

Some tips: Use high ISOs in these low light situations, increasing the sensitivity of your camera's sensor. Stopping down your apeture one f/stop or two will increase your depth of field, more likely to render your fishy subject in reasonably sharp focus. Try to get as close to the glass, and hence the fish, as you possibly can. And, lastly, bracket your exposures and take multiple images, checking to see the results frequently on your monitor. (And, if you're shooting on film, disregard the monitor part.)

Dear fish experts. Thank you in advance for your help in identifying this specimen. Otherwise, I will have to go with the

standby generic version: Here is a large, rather scary looking fish.

Don't get in the tank with it. And nobody wants that.

Happy aquarium touring. Me, I like to find a nice coconut shrimp dinner afterwards, giving a tip of the wine glass to all sea creatures. Hey. These sea creatures all eat the lower levels of their own kind. I didn't start it.

Best wishes.

Across the way from the drive in is the downtown area of the tutorial/welcome area. It's ok, for a prop, but not much there to explore. but this city scape with the airplane taking off overhead looks pretty cool.

Note: I have come to consider places like Worlds and Active Worlds as being open virtual worlds. These were the pioneers of virtual spaces on the internet, and among the first to quote Snow Crash, even begin to coin 'metaverse' and web3.0 in trying to explain what they are. Therefore, any group that, in a general sense, speaks of themselves as an open world, open life, virtual world, web3.0, or hypergrid, seems appropriate appropriate groups to add them to. After all, these virtual worlds were very much ahead of the game and developed a lot of the aspects that make up our virtual world experiences even to this day. Not only did they have teleportation to different regions, but to different servers, even without utilizing a hypergate, but simply by teleporting to that server, as long as you had that server's coordinates. If you don't agree with this definition, let me know, and I won't post these in your group.

I'd love to hear what you think.

A wood waste burner, known as a teepee burner or wigwam burner in the United States and a beehive burner in Canada, is a free-standing conical steel structure usually ranging from 30 to 60 feet in height. They are named for their resemblance to beehives, teepees or wigwams.

That was the official Wikipedia description. Looks more like a teleportation device created by Tesla

The Burning Portal

The Great Library of the Kolgaris was a sanctuary of ancient knowledge. Its shelves, which reached up to the vaulted ceiling, were filled with dusty grimoires, magical artifacts, ancient scrolls, and potions of vibrant colors. It was in this setting that Elara resided, the youngest apprentice of the order.

That day, Elara was tasked with reorganizing a particularly high shelf. As she reached the top of the ladder, her foot slipped. In her fall, she knocked over vials that shattered into a thousand pieces, spilling their colorful liquids onto the wooden floor. A spark jumped from one of the potions, causing an explosion, and in an instant, the fire spread across the floor towards the center of the room.

Faelan, the oldest and wisest of the Kolgaris, was working near the teleportation portal when he heard the explosion and felt the heat rising. He looked up in horror and saw the flames engulfing the magic circle. He knew that if the fire reached the portal, it would emerge just as dangerous on the other side, unleashing destructive forces into the Sacred Forest.

Time was of the essence. The library, the beating heart of their knowledge, was in peril. But that was not all. The Sacred Forest, the lungs of their world, was in danger of being ravaged by the unleashed flames. The Kolgaris had to act quickly. Every second that passed brought them closer to disaster.

A Mirror Image (in a plane mirror) is a reflected duplication of an object that appears almost identical, but is reversed in the direction perpendicular to the mirror surface. As an optical effect it results from reflection off from substances such as a mirror or water. It is also a concept in geometry and can be used as a conceptualization process for 3-D structures. Two-dimensional mirror images can be seen in the reflections of mirrors or other reflecting surfaces, or on a printed surface seen inside-out.

If we first look at an object that is effectively two-dimensional (such as the writing on a card) and then turn the card to face a mirror, the object turns through an angle of 180° and we see a left-right reversal in the mirror. In this example, it is the change in orientation rather than the mirror itself that causes the observed reversal. Another example is when we stand with our backs to the mirror and face an object that's in front of the mirror. Then we compare the object with its reflection by turning ourselves 180°, towards the mirror. Again we perceive a left-right reversal due to a change in our orientation. So, in these examples the mirror does not actually cause the observed reversals.

Trinity Bridge (Troitskiy Most) is a bascule bridge across the Neva in Saint Petersburg. It connects Kamennoostrovsky Prospect with Suvorov Square. It was the third permanent bridge across the Neva, built between 1897 and 1903 by the French firm Société de Construction des Batignolles. It is 582 meters (1,909 ft) long and 23.6 meters (77 ft) wide. The bridge takes its name from the Old Trinity Cathedral which used to stand at its northern end. In the 20th century, it was known as Equality Bridge (1918–1934) and Kirovsky Bridge (1934–1999).

In 1803, the Voskresensky ponton bridge, which was built in 1786 near Voskresensky Prospect (now Chernyshevsky Prospect), was moved to the Summer Garden. In 1825, the pontoon Suvorovsky Bridge was built to link Suvorov Square with Troitskaya (Trinity) Square. In 1892, a contest for constructing a permanent Troitsky Bridge was announced. There were 16 entrants from local and European engineers, including one from the French engineer Gustave Eiffel, the creator of the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris. The winner was the out-of-competition conception by Paul-Joseph Bodin aided by Arthur Flachet, Vincent Chabrol, and Claude Patouillard from the French Société de Construction des Batignolles. Some contributions to their proposal were provided by a team of local engineers. A special commission from the Imperial Academy of Arts, including Leon Benois also participated in the project. Construction began on 12 August 1897. Félix Faure, the president of France was present at the ceremony. In the same political spirit, Nicholas II laid the foundation stone for the Pont Alexandre III in Paris, another memorial to the Franco-Russian Alliance. The bridge was completed in 1903, in time for the 200-year anniversary of Saint Petersburg.

Originally the bridge had nine spans. Five of these were permanent metallic riveted spans, with novel console-arch-beam systems and gradually increasing span length from banks to the middle of the river. A three-arch granite viaduct linked the metallic central section to the right bank, and a two-winged bascule span joined it to the left bank. The design of the central spans, in which single uncut girders bridge more than one span, significantly relieves the stress on the central part of the arches, decreasing the support required in the river and giving the span structures a gentle arch shape. The bridge is decorated with cast iron gratings with artistic casting, granite pylons with lanterns and metallic three-colour lanterns in the Art Nouveau style. The obelisks flanking the entrance to the bridge from Suvorov Square were remodeled in 1955. In 1965–1967 the bascule span was rebuilt as a one-winged, lifting design. Its length was extended to 43 meters (141 ft) and its appearance modelled on the other metal spans. A granite arch slope was set on the left bank. During the reconstruction water slopes were enlarged and granite benches were set along left bank abutment.

Hope to see you there!

I worked for a rancher in his 60s when I was in my 20s. Almost everywhere he went, his wife went with him. She sat right next to him in the pick-up like they were dating teenagers. This was probably the case until he died. She outlived him by 20 years. Don't get me wrong though. She was a headstrong and feisty ranch woman!

When I sight the two pictured Sandhill Cranes, I sometimes am reminded of my former employers. These cranes are partners for life until death do them part. Everywhere he flies off to, she is right there drafting him. Every time he sounds off with his reverberating call of alarm, she echoes him. He makes all the decisions and she is perfectly compliant (unlike my boss's wife). It is a relationship for another age.

For awhile, I thought there were several resident pairs on the 19,000 acre Summer Lake Wildlife Area. Then I realized I was seeing the same couple. They are such efficient, fast fliers--50 mph--that jumping over to check out the forage on the other side of this vast area, is as easy as teleportation.

I think they eat a lot of frogs and mice in the summer time. In the winter, when migrating flocks come through, they are in the farmers' fields eating grain and grass seeds. The do everything but fish. They leave that to the Egrets and Herons. I sometimes get the feeling that they think they own all 30 square miles. And come to think of it, they might be right.

Goku's most powerful attack is the Genki Dama (元気玉 lit. "Spirit Bomb"?), an energy sphere created by gathering Ki from surrounding animals, nature and humans, which he also learned from King Kai.[21] Goku also learns a teleportation skill called Shunkan Idō (瞬間移動 lit. "Instantaneous Transmission", (usually shorten to "Instant Transmission")?), which he learned from the inhabitants of the planet Yardrat.[40]

You can read up on the roles of the two groups in the previous pic. It's interesting that they have this headquarters in the welcome town, but it's just a prop building. It's a curious thing, considering the two groups are supposed to have such active roles in welcoming new people and enforcing the G-rated standards. I would have loved to see some more development where you could enter the doors and check out the offices.

There's quite a few things that appear to be under construction in town. Another place, which was something like a community center, is raising issues that there was some type of mishandling of a situation by the company that owns Active Worlds and the group that has been in charge with keeping all the different virtual places you could go, as well as the events taking place. Whatever the issue was, it led whoever was doing the community center stuff to essentially retire, so now there's no way of knowing what worlds are even still around, as well as numerous broken links

Hopefully Active Worlds can get their stuff in order in 2022. What I've seen so far, especially in the art community that I'll be showcasing soon, there is a lot of amazing past history and potential future worth saving in this virtual community.

Note: I have come to consider places like Worlds and Active Worlds as being open virtual worlds. These were the pioneers of virtual spaces on the internet, and among the first to quote Snow Crash, even begin to coin 'metaverse' and web3.0 in trying to explain what they are. Not only did they have teleportation to different regions, but to different servers, even without utilizing a hypergate, but simply by teleporting to that server, as long as you had that server's coordinates. If you don't agree with this definition, let me know, and I won't post these in your group.

- I'm trying to distance ourselves elsewhere in the labyrinth, it's not easy because I do not know it in detail. Give me your hand together we will! - Says Ahryadhe while concentrating telepathically, his powers of materialization and teleportation are strong but she needs to know the place.

I would like to reiterate: If Flux had a TV show it would probably be similar in style and theme to Kim Possible or My Life As A Teenage Robot, so read this bio with that in mind.

Alter Ego: Magic May

Name: May Spring

Allegiance: Neutral-Villain

Powers:Some sort of Dark Force that can shift between a gaseous and solid state. It also has numerous other mysterious properties such as teleportation and healing.

Weapons:She has that staff thing, but it's unclear if it affects her powers in any way.

Key Weakness: Using her powers takes concentration and she sometimes over-estimates her own abilities.

Background:

So, the part of this character that clashes with Flux is the "Magic". Despite what she thinks, her powers aren't at all magical or mystical. Her powers are actually similar in origin to Flux's. Flux constantly tries to explain this to her but she just ignores him.

Well, that, and that fact that whenever they bump into each other she is constantly flirting with Flux, which makes him extra uncomfortable. (Kind of like Spider-Man and Black Cat but 10x more awkward)

One thing I want to mention about the villains and heroes in Flux's, so far unnamed, city is that they don't necessarily have secret identities. This is just what they do. Also, when they clash it's almost like hanging out it a weird way. I dunno', it's a weird dynamic.

A hole in the veil of accepted reality...

FIRST self-portrait inspired by the song "Just a Figment" by Morning Teleportation (specifically, by the point at 3:38 in the song....)

according to Norse mythology, Odin had an eight-legged horse called Sleipnir who could travel equally quickly over land, air and sea. Given the teleportation powers of Mjolnir, this may not be that useful, so i guess the title of my pic is "what if ultimate thor lost his hammer and had to borrow his dad's horse to get it back"...

Teleportation dynamics - the last hope for a game where the levelling curve makes the end-game a steamroller with 1on1 confrontations. Shame the photogenic marco polo enthusiast here is also a bit of a slooomatic.

I know the game takes place in spring (which, coincidentally, could have been the justification for the teeth-grinding oversaturation?) but at the moment I cannot get enough of those wintry-autumny vibes (as irl, so in the virtual reality).

"From Bob to Alice, with love.

Venice, November 30, 1914".

Alice and Bob are the standard characters recruited by physicists to illustrate many funny features of quantum physics, such as quantum nonlocality or quantum teleportation.

Following a long and distinguished tradition of self-experimenting scientists, Bob has made an experiment in spacetime travel that has allowed him to enjoy a holiday in Venice, back in 1914. To celebrate his successful travelling in the past Bob has sent Alice a picture postcard.

What we do not know is whether he has been able to go back to 21. century. ;-) Has someone news about him?

I have used two textures from Ellenvd collection: this one and this other one.

I also kept the nail, to polish and use as a means of teleportation.”

Tired of being on the losing side, the Dark Forces of Mordor set forward on a path of revenge. Leaning on what little those were able to glean from Saruman's steps into industry, they harnessed the lightning and created the means for their vengeance! Backstory: The union of Crystal, and Ronan the Accuser brought upon this half Inhuman, half Kree assassin. The marriage was initially just to bring Kree and Inhumans together, but as it went on, they fell more and more in love with each other.. This son of theirs went through Terrigenesis when he was still a young boy. He developed the powers of teleportation, in addition to the enhanced strength all Kree possess. Usually Kree would not be able breathe on Earth without a breathing apparatus. But since he is part Inhuman, he is able to breathe properly. He serves for the interests of both Kree and Inhuman alike.

This is one of my most powerful OCs, so don’t be shocked about his powers :)

Name: Simon Matthew

Alias: Anti-Angel

Allegiance: None

Powers: Anytime that Simon is extremely stressed or traumatized, he gets a new power. So far, he can see into the future and accurately predict what is about to happen, fly (obviously), incredibly strong and fast, holds the magic spear that killed Julius Caesar, which is able to blast powerful shots of magical energy, teleportation, invincible to all but magic, can become intangible.

Weakness: He is blind and relies on remembering what he sees during his future sight

Backstory: Simon was born with his god-like powers, save for flight. His childhood was full of traumatic events, each one unlocking a new power. His father abused him, so he unlocked future sight so that he could know when his father would strike next. His mother was shot, so he developed super speed so that he could avoid being shot himself. His father tried to kill him, so he unlocked super strength so that he could overpower him; and so on. He grew up to be a bounty hunter. On one of his missions, he found himself in a fight against an angel. The fight went on for weeks, but Simon eventually killed the angel. He took the angel’s wings and named himself “Anti-Angel”. But, the battle came at the price of his eyesight, leaving him blind for the rest of his life. Since then he has been searching for another opponent worthy to use his full power against. He is not a bad guy, but doesn’t try to save people either. Simon is currently training a young protege named Mirror to control and utilize her powers. Simon is a deadly opponent and a powerful ally.

What do y’all think, I feel like the backstory is a bit shaky, and I’ll probably change it later. Let me know if you like it!

Dude 2: "It's a pity they didn't have actual cigs. I hear there's a guy here who keeps smoking them all away."

Dude 3: "He doesn't live in this house, though. Look! There's pictures of him on those magazine covers! He must be famous!"

Dude 5 (in the back): "I hear he's a singer. I think he's going to record his debut album in this studio. I'm touching this mic just in case!"

Dude 6: "This looks cosy. I could settle down here."

Dude 7: "Me too! Now where can I hang my jacket?"

Dude 8: "I was here first! I'm already sitting, dudes!"

Dude 4: "Is it just me, or do you guys think someone is looking at us? Right theeeere."

"Something went wrong, Seth. When you went through, something went wrong."
