13th/14th century English oak table echoing Arthurian legend. It now hangs on the west wall of the Great Hall in Winchester, moved in 1873 from the east wall.
The 13th century Great Hall is the only surviving part of Winchester Castle, which was originally built for William the Conqueror although the Great Hall dates to extensive renovations carried out by Henry III between 1222 and 1235.

There’s a place at our table for you! Meet new people, share a meal, and enjoy conversation that is authentic, engaging and meaningful. Everyone is welcome! Held inside the Rouse Company Foundation (RCF) building at Howard Community College.
I captured this image with my Fuji X10 (which I currently have for sale - see the link below) whilst taking one of my fitness walks through the Oregon town of Tigard last summer. It’s a picnic table out behind the Tigard Public Library. You can see part of the library building on the left. I just saw the sun poking through the trees as it illuminated the picnic bench.
I shot three exposures (-1|0|+1) and then blended them in Photomatix to make a black and white HDR image. Then I used a cool technique that Glyn Dewis taught me to take out all the noise and make the image look smooth, painted and almost cartoonish.
I hope you enjoy the photograph.
I could lie and say we eat here but we usually don't. Tonight we did though, but played on my laptop at the same time.

Serpentine tables make a complete circle when you put four of them end to end. The standard size creates a ten foot outside diameter with a five foot inside diameter.
If you put four together and then put a 60" round table in the middle, you get a ten foot diameter table. That would be large enough to seat twenty people.
They are also used by putting two together, creating a half circle to use as a beverage station
