This natural world heritage site, and Natural New 7 Wonder of the World, is a haven of magnificent mountains plunging into crystal seas fringed with bleached white sands of the Cape Peninsula. The mountain chain stretches from Signal Hill in the north, to Cape Point in the South and is also home to the world’s smallest, yet most diverse floral kingdom, The Cape Floristic Region.

Cute mini table that I redid in aqua with french word graphics....a store with ceramics, crystal etc.
The table was small, but the views every morning for breakfast and then at lunch or dinner were great!

My dad has been doing this trick for years: the hand, an inexorably creeping machine ready to grab the kids.
Table Mountain covered in the only cloud in the sky, hoping to go to the top when we return to Capetown in a few days.
I'm off tomorrow. The forecasters are talking snow, a couple of school districts are already closed and the government is on some flexible leave, telework schedule. We haven't even seen any rain yet and they're only calling for an inch or so here. I think the memory of last January's storm is still fresh in everyone's mind - blizzard conditions during rush hour, people taking 8 or 9 hours to get home, some never getting there, some running out of gas on the road.
Me, I'm not holding my breath for any great weather. And I realized the other day I hadn't been to the ocean in over a month - might explain the funk I've been feeling lately. So, tomorrow will be a day at the shore.
While Chris was laying out the design I thought it was a too random. I like more order to my designs. I think he did a great job with the table.
