Beside the cenotaph, the table rests beneath four cherry trees. The surface of the table caries an English and Welsh inscription, written by an 8 year old schoolgirl, under the title 'Innocence' or 'Diniwed'. 'Three things are difficult for me, to hold the air in my hand, to weigh the world and to stop time.'
Querido’s Uitgeverij.

A table on a highwalk at the Embarcadero Center, reflecting details of one of the towers.
The Center feels a bit like the Barbican crossed with Canary Wharf. It's got highwalks and concrete towers, but it's also all still very much as planned (whereas the London Wall borders have been extensively reworked since the mid-eighties), while the lower level is shops, just like the underground malls that sit beneath the Colonnades and Bank Street.
Uptown New Orleans. At the Round Table Club building on St. Charles Avenue for the New Orleans International Music Colloquium.
We put cards on the tables during the party. They contain a poem (in Dutch) that tells the guest not to worry about leaving without saying goodbye, because we already shook hands when they came in, and we needed the time to be able to dance ourselves!
I used the same decoration and font for the place cards on the dinner table.
