Looking at the (left to right) - solar PV electricity generating system; cooling tower; and solar hot water system.
The PV panels are 205 watt Sanyo HIT, the cooling tower acts as a thermal chimney to keep the house cool in summer by having windows right around to suck out any heat in the house, and the hot water system is a three-panel Solahart thermosiphon system.
The RES 'Blue Flash' logo and Rail express systems branding on the side of 94302. RES had a very short life from 1991 to 1996 when the company was bought by Wisconsin Central which absorbed RES into English Welsh and Scottish Railway.

The Burning of Rome (http://www.myspace.com/theburningofrome )is the other band at Speakeasy Studios. Their drummer, Lee, owns the place and we rent a side room from him. Their sound is kinda like death-pop. I read a review that classified them as gypsy vampire punks (something like that). Well, I've been talking out my ass for months saying that we were going to come to their shows. Well, Evan (band mate in The Gents) and I finally made it out. They opened for Dead Man's Party (an Oingo Boing tribute band). It was a really great show for them with a good size crowd. They have lots of energy, noise, and stage presence. Really energized with great harmonies singing some dark-comedy-esque lyrics. Really glad I made it out to show some love!
Dead Man's Party was great as well (http://www.myspace.com/deadmansparty). People often overlook Oingo Boingo's contribution to music when thinking about great bands of the 80s. Too bad. Dead Man's Party puts on a great performance. All members really perform. Horns = AWESOME!!! Their singer is so good too. Really gives it his all for Danny Elfman!
So yeah... Another concert for me.

Nashville's Union Station is a late Romanesque masterpiece and was the flagship of the L&N system. Amtrak no longer serves the city, and the station has been nicely restored as a hotel.

For those that are serious about harvesting rainwater aesthetics become secondary to having a large self maintaining system.
I provide the customers with rainfall data and they then tell me how much real estate they want to donate to storing rainwater. If a first flush is used like here, the set up can be obviously obnoxious, but I feel like the overflow and first flush need to be placed away from the foundation. For customers like the homeowner ( a L.A. County sheriffs deputy, registered oath-keeper and fellow Ron Paul advocate ) this thing is sweet!
I am trying to develop a more visually acceptable way to have a large first flush device.

In Chicago, a system is in place where some who shovel out an area claim this for their very own. A stake of precious property in a city full of millions of cars. Coming home tonight at midnight I was really angry at the number of these "claimed" areas that had no cars parked in them. Evidently they were out bar hopping and wanted a nice space to come home to. I ended up five blocks away.

24 taps placed in tall beverage coolers. Each cooler can hold up to 4 full-size kegs (13.2 or 15.5 gallons) and 8 sixtels (5.16 gallons). Mason jars under each drip pan will catch foam and overflow. As the kegs are directly behind the taps, waste should be minimal.
Note the use of keg caps with brewery logos to identify beers above the taps, rather than a blizzard of assorted tap handles. [This photo was taken during a private re-opening party, so only 4 beers were on tap.]
