This old shoe tree (is that what it's called?) was on the back of my bedroom door. Since I am not Emelda Marcos, I am using it to try and track my actual expenses, and make it as easy as possible. I just drop in receipts from the store, or take a "chit" from the CAB, BUS, TIP, or COLECTIVO pocket and drop that in. There are blanks for other categories, and oops, I forgot to add a pencil to the current month's pocket. On a tight retirement budget, everything depends on record keeping to construct and maintain an accurate budget.
The system is based on 6 bike stations, respectively staffed by two employees in two shifts. Ecovolis program has proven successful in dramatically increasing bicycle use in Tirana, which, formerly, was a city without a developed bicycle culture. Ecovolis program is the first project in Albania that provides low-income adults with commuter bicycles as well as a donating program for children bicycles. The program recently completed two major steps, opening new bike stations in the city of Durrës and integrating Tourist Information Point Service to the bicycles stations' structure.
History
The Tirana Community Bicycle Albania project won financial support from the George Soros Open Society Foundation Albania (OSFA). An even larger contribution came from the US-based Pedal for Progress organization, which donated 450 bicycles. Sixty of these were used road bikes, which were modified and painted by local technicians to serve as public bikes in the Ecovolis scheme. Another portion was set aside to donate to children and to activists and volunteers at PASS. Still another portion were diverted to the project's Eco Bicycle Shop, a social enterprise which sells bikes for USD 50-150 and reinvests profits for the service and maintenance of Ecovolis bicycles. The main objective of the program was to introduce the community to an inexpensive, environmental friendly form of transport -- the bicycle; to sell used bikes at low prices; to donate bikes to the children of needy families and to PASS volunteers; to establish a bike sharing-scheme in the city (Ecovolis); and to employ financially disadvantaged people and young students to operate the bike-sharing scheme.
System
Each Ecovolis station is staffed by two employees in two shifts and contains 30 -- 60 bicycles. In order to use the bicycles it is required to provide a personal identification document (such as passport or ID card) or by subscribing to the Ecovolis membership Card.
The first black and red bicycles, (also the colors of the Albanian flag) were donated from US-organization Pedal for Progress, (which collect and donate used bicycles). As these bicycles were of different types, converting them for safe and comfortable public use took months of work. The price per bicycle varies from 60 US$ to 90 US$ each. The bicycle is equipped with a front bicycle basket, a behind carrier, a comfortable saddle and a public fender with the Ecovolis sign.
The bicycle stations also provide touristic information to the visitors and a list of the city attractions. Moreover, being a non-profit social enterprise, during particular days the program offers free bicycle service, cycling courses, donations of bicycles and helmets for children in need, bike tours and a bicycle recycle program.

I've set up an irrigation system to help for those days I'm not home, or not able to water the plants. Testing it now to see if it works properly...The waterbag, with a small tube attached to it.
I was amazed to see this in Gatwick airport recently. The screen was faded, so its a bit difficult to make out, but this childrens computer toy thingy was powered by an Amiga. Now for those of you without a high enough geek lore skill to understand that, I got an Amiga 600 for my Eight birthday, I'm now 22. This system is being powered by a computer which is 14 years old. What you can just make out on the screen at the moment is the boot screen, instructing the user to insert a floppy disk. Sadly it seems that either the disk drive is knackered, or possibly the disk itself.
Edited to add: A bit of googling, (Thanks to the commenters) reveals that the system has been modified to replace the floppy drive with a flash device, meaning the system should have no moving parts.

The first known account of the TPS was by a demolition team tasked with clearing the building of anything that could be hazardous.
The TPS was found with other implements used for tea in a lower basement room apparently utilized as a study. The true function of the TPS is unknown but some speculate it was a sterilization apparatus or an early “dishwasher”.
Snaefell Mountain Railway: this railway, eight kilometers long, connects Laxey Station, where it joins the Manx Electric Railway, with the top of Snaefell, the highest point in the Isle of Man at 620 m asl. This railway has a gauge of 1,067 mm, is electrified at 550 VDC and has a center rail of Fell system, used here to increase the braking force during descents. The service is provided with six electric tramcars built in 1895, so are all more than centenarians. The summit station has one track. One switch enables access to it from the double track of the line. This switch is very unique because it has hand operated single rigid point. Here the point changing position.
My trusty Panasonic G1 that has produced me some good images is getting a bit battered and I've been looking at upgrading. I did think of a Leica M240 to replace this and the M9 but it is so clunky to use in Live View that I couldn't get on with it. I thought of Sony A7's but the incompatibility with Leica wide angles limited its usefulness. The Fuji XE2 is ecellent but it's a new system to me, the Leica T works nicely but isn't quite for me. Then I thought, what's wrong with Panasonic, looked at the GX7 and bought that. Here are the first results. I hope it takes on from where the G1 left me and supplements the rest of my systems.
