Probably one my my most favorite video game systems. :)
I made this for the Speed Modelling Challenges over at 3DTotal.com
I went all the way to the full 90 mins, and even though I measured out everything down to the millimeter, I had to sacrifice a ton of details to get it done in time.
I tried to use different techniques to help speed up things. I used a lot of splines and extrudes for certain shapes like the controller ports and plugs. The controller itself was a couple of simple boxes converted to editable polys and some more extruded splines to get the shapes I needed.
Luckily texturing time isn't counted. Textures were a combination of pictures and free fonts that I found online.
I give you: The Nintendo Entertainment System!
3D Studio Max, V-Ray render with Ambient Occlusion pass added in Photoshop.

One system of tunnels that is open to the public on a regular basis, normally the first weekend in September each year, are the tunnels beneath the village of Bouzincourt. These tunnels cut into the chalk had been used to hide both villages and their cattle and then during WW1 they became a billet for troops. Spending long periods of time resting in the tunnels, British and Commonwealth soldiers covered the walls with memorials to their lost comrades and their own names and those of their units. Many of these fragile inscriptions are written in field pencil, while others are cut into the chalk.

On day 4 of bikecation we experienced a "Moses" ride. Even with a topo and a trail map we wandered around the desert for 40 years. Still fun though and still beautiful.
Seminar on the judiciary system in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq: issues and possible solutions
Erbil, 26 May 2014 – With the aim to discuss the current state of the judiciary system in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq from the perspective of the civil society organizations, explore the gaps and suggest recommendations, UNAMI’s Human Rights Office organized a one day seminar in Erbil, which brought together a panel of judges of the Judiciary Council, members of the General Prosecution board, lawyers from the Lawyers’ Syndicate, and representatives of NGOs and media.
“The purpose of the seminar is to create a better understanding between the judiciary system and other stakeholders, including the Lawyers’ syndicate, NGOs, media and the civil society”, said a representative of the panel in his introductory remarks.
During the debate, it appeared that mutual major concerns of the participants in the seminar were about the Judiciary Council’s financial and administrative independence, its low budgeting, as well as its impartiality and internal cohesion.
“We have received and taken into account many suggestions to improve the judiciary system, thus making significant changes in its functioning”, Judge Umed, representing the Judiciary Council said.
At the end of a frank and open debate, the panel and the participants agreed to outline a report on the outcomes of the seminar and identify the major issues that need to be stressed and find possible solutions to them. The report is due to be published in the coming days.

This large are which included a host of temples has this entire structure surrounding it. Eventually it leads up to this spout like thing that filled the bath then. Which is what this picture was supposed to be. (I tend to get easily fascinated by such things)
