I tried really hard to enjoy photographing this flower, but there were soooo many bugs flying around that I only took like three pictures. Then I ran away! haha

Case study presents the design of "an intelligence-building app for kids" as a worked example. Designers in artificial intelligence assume that "intelligence" is a property that can only be improved. We wish to share our rationale for a digital-social system designed to build human intelligence.

Security camera systems and installation often deter crime when the cameras are obvious. You can use these big and foreboding cameras at your entrance, gate, or in the hallways so that people know that what they do will be recorded. The cables for the cameras will be sent throughout the building to the place where all the cameras are checked, and you should have those cables installed in places that will be easy service if you ever need repairs. One system of tunnels that is open to the public on a regular basis, normally the first weekend in September each year, are the tunnels beneath the village of Bouzincourt. These tunnels cut into the chalk had been used to hide both villages and their cattle and then during WW1 they became a billet for troops. Spending long periods of time resting in the tunnels, British and Commonwealth soldiers covered the walls with memorials to their lost comrades and their own names and those of their units. Many of these fragile inscriptions are written in field pencil, while others are cut into the chalk.

On day 4 of bikecation we experienced a "Moses" ride. Even with a topo and a trail map we wandered around the desert for 40 years. Still fun though and still beautiful.

Left Column:

Lower Row Left to Right:

Turtle & Hat, plus two types of Spectre tile

Upper Left:

Tiling of Spectre tile.

"The Spectre tile is based on the 14-sided “Hat” tile discovered in 2022 by an amateur mathematician, the left hand of these three tiles. The “Hat” and its reflection (called a “Turtle”) can also tile a flat surface without repeating but only in combination. By curving the sides as shown in the two other tiles a “Spectre” tile can be formed that can tile without repeating and does not need a reflection (ghosts don’t have reflections hence the name Spectre!!).There are an infinite number of these type of Spectre tiles, which also occur in 3D shapes as well as 2D."

Top Right:

David's solution which uses all of his 111 tiles.

"This is the completed puzzle with all of the pieces in place (possibly with some errors!). You can see that the grain of the plywood lines do not line up so do not use this as a guide to building the puzzle. If anyone wants to do this puzzle I can bring it to the house party next month. The “Hat” version of the tile has been used to create new honeycomb structures that have different and useful mechanical properties compared to existing engineering materials."

Lower Right:

Nervous System spectre tiles - identical shaped wooden pieces, with two different teal patterns.

"Nervous system created a variation on the Spectre tile for this puzzle so they mainly interlock on the connectors, and while all the pieces are identical in shape they provide two patterns which always join up in a satisfying way. It feels easy putting the pieces together quite quickly until you realise you have put the pieces together incorrectly leading to a dead end where the piece will not fit. Either the hole left is too small or more commonly you need a right handed connector and all the pieces have a left handed connector (highlighted in yellow). This is also true for the image shown on the box, so do not try to follow it!"
