The Royal Gates are double doors opposite the Throne (in the altar), the main gates of the iconostasis in an Orthodox church. The royal doors lead to the altar of the temple and symbolize the gates of Paradise.
The Slavic name "Royal Doors" is explained by the fact that through them the King of Glory, the Lord Jesus Christ, in the Holy Gifts, comes out during communion of the laity.
The image of our Lord Jesus Christ not made by human hands* over the royal doors: “I am the Lord your God ... that you have no other gods before Me (Ex. 20, 2-3).” /first commandment/
*"not made by human hands" - a special type of image of Christ, representing His face, according to the general church Eastern tradition, printed on a linen scarf after He wiped his face after washing.
In Christianity, it is used to refer to icons, sacred images, which are considered to be of divine origin.

The White Palace contains the main ceremonial hall with the throne of the Dalai Lama, and his private rooms and audience hall are on the uppermost level. The palace contains 698 murals, almost 10,000 painted scrolls, numerous sculptures, carpets, canopies, curtains, porcelain, jade, and fine objects of gold and silver, as well as a large collection of sutras and important historical documents. Located on the banks of the Calonne (a small watercourse), the church of Fontaine-la-Louvet, of Romanesque origin (not visible in the picture), was rebuilt in the 15th century in stone and flint. From the Romanesque period, only the apse remains. To the north are two chapels from the first half of the 16th century, with stone and flint chequerboard walls. This is one of the chapels. The district of the "Little Venice" is one of the nicest neighbourhoods in Colmar. The merchants' houses are of various colours : they symbolize the nature of the inhabitants’ businesses. Sopron is situated near the western borders of Hungary, at the foot of the Alps, 60 km from Vienna and 220 km from Budapest. It is one of the oldest jewelboxes of the country. Sopron merges past and present in itself. It creates a bridge between Hungary and its western neighbours, opening a gate for foreign guests visiting Hungary, as it is symbolized by the coat of arms of the city.

ENG: The Lübeck Lions are animal statues depicting life-size lions, which on the one hand symbolize Lübeck's origin as a lion city, but also stand for its fortitude as such. Two of them have gained worldwide fame due to their placement in front of Lübeck's landmark Holstentor. The right lion which is here in the picture looks as if he is examining every visitor. The left one which is not in the photo is about 3 meters away and seems to be taking a nap. That's why I chose the one on the right. ☻
The merchant Johann Daniel Jacobj had the two resting lions made in iron casting by the Royal Prussian Iron Foundry in the middle of the 19th century and had them placed in front of his house. (...) After they were housed in Lübeck's St.-Annen-Museum after the end of the war, they have been resting on low stone pedestals out of town at the end of the small park in front of the Holsten Gate since 1949.

The Palendorp is a monument that symbolizes an old village that has completely disappeared into the sea since 1792. This beautiful work of art consists of 160 poles of six to twelve meters high. The poles are in the shape of 10 houses and a church.
The current village is already the fourth Petten. The third, situated around the current cemetery where the church stood, was demolished by order of the German occupiers in 1943 because the Atlantkwall had to be built there — an entire village disappeared…
Ravens symbolize a complex mix of wisdom, magic, mystery, and transformation, but can also be associated with death, prophecy, and ill-omen across different cultures. They are seen as messengers from the cosmos, tricksters, and creators, while in literature and mythology, they are often linked to the cycles of death and rebirth, or the darker side of the subconscious.

The symmetrical pharaoh shows no movement or change, suppressing all motion and time to create an eternal stillness; his strong build and permanent stance demonstrate no notion of time—Khafre is timeless, and his power will exist even in the afterlife. The pharaoh has an emotionless and ageless face, alluding to his non-chaotic, controlled empire and powerful leadership; the pharaoh has control over his domain. The statue is based upon compactness and solidity with few projecting parts; Khafre’s block-like body is attached to the throne to last for eternity, creating one single structure. His arms rest on his thighs, directly facing the viewer in a rigid, frontal pose. The bilaterally symmetric statue, symbolizing order and control in the pharaoh, is the same on either side of the vertical axis of the statue, only differing in Khafre’s clenched right fist. The tight profile and block-like aspect represent Khafre as a permanent being and part of the stone to keep his ka safe. Khafre will always exist, on earth and in the afterlife. The pharaoh’s sculpture can be described as absolutely frontal, utterly immobile, and perfectly calm: the characteristics of Egyptian block statue.

Kanji is one of the 3 oldest writing systems in Japan. It is however the most complex. Japanese Kanji symbols are actually taken from China, and like Chinese characters each symbol doesn’t actually represent a letter of the alphabet. Instead, each kanji symbol represents a word or a sound. In this respect they’re somewhat similar to hieroglyphics.
According to the language of flowers, a daisy symbolizes innocence and purity. A daisy means “day’s eye” (from Old English’s “daegeseage”) because the petals open during the day revealing its yellow centers and then close at night. Daisy, with its happy, fresh image, was a celebrated girls' name starting in the 19th century, when other flowers (violet, lily, rose, magnolia) were also doing double duty as given names.
