The dog section has progressively been improved vehicle wise over the past few years. Previous to around 2004, the force used Peugeot Partner vans on dog use, however the force opted for an estate version of the Peugeot307 vehicle for dog use, possibly as they had more operational benefits than the vans. Only a few Peugeot307 estates went on the run as dog vehicles, as not long after, the contract was past from Peugeot to Ford. Since the Ford contract the core dog vehicles have been Ford Focus Estates as demonstrated by <b?YJ10FYE seen here at the Niagara Ground in Sheffield
