Today is Matt's birthday.
We went to his parents for dinner and his mom made his favorite food and favorite cake. Among laughs, play with the nephew and niece we had a great time tonight!
I wish this man all the blessings, love, health and joy in the world.

Made practice cupcakes with Morgan for our party on the 5th. Hers a purple. Mine are blue. No blue ones in the picture due to the fact that I didn't have time to ice them before cheer practice. We need to pick a different cake mix or do a better job because they didn't taste nearly as good as they looked.

Dragons and Devils:
Dragon Fruit Ice Cream, Devil's Food Chocolate Cake, Blood Orange, Ginger Syrup
I made Ice Cream with fresh Dragon Fruit and a touch of White Chocolate, and put it together on a plate with a few things I had in the fridge. Despite Dragon, Devil and Blood in the name this was a very light and delightful plate.

This is rather complex cake I made for the holidays - Light Almond Sponge, Tiramisu Buttercream, Coffee Syrup.
Very nice results - sponge tasted almost like Angel Food cake.
Spotted this wasp getting into my empty juice bottle, he was very persistent in getting every last drop!!!

Dr. Toffee and Nurse Sweeetooth of Sonoma Toffee Works educate and entertain from their booth at the Napa Wine and Crafts Fair this last weekend.
I'm not a fan of toffee, but their stuff was pretty good.
Not really happy with this - I actually need to find a 3D tooth image - I think this looks too much like a 2D drawing/painting than a proper picture - lacks the depth.
I suppose you can see what I was trying to do here :) I took shot of a chocolate roulade (yes ... brilliantly delicious), then used a image of a tooth off the internet to create a frame.
Lighting: Bare 430EXII next to subject bounced on to white board held above and front of subject. Sorry no set up shot - forgot again (I really need to remember this!!)
