We made him lots of cookies and boxes of candy. He was very happy.

i feel bad when kids are forced to wear pants with elastic backs.

Chocolate chiffon, coffee chiffon and vanilla chiffon layers moistened with coffee flavored tres leche sauce, and sandwiched together and covered with mascarpone filling. Tinted mascarpone with cocoa and coffee to ombre the sides.

From 8 blood oranges I made juice, 6 mini loaves of orange-cranberry bread, candied peels, fruit leather and orange syrup.

Pretty amazing, huh?

I ordered and received this wonderful fabric from Hawthorne Threads last week and immediately got started on a preschool nap quilt for my daughter. The patterned fabric is Sweet Tooth in the Candy Shop Palette by Diane Kappa in addition to Michael Miller's Ta Dot in apple. I paired them with Kona white to make the luscious pinwheels. It's my first time doing pinwheels and, though they aren't perfect, I love the way they look! :)

@ home. Fresh, sliced strawberries from the garden layered with lady fingers and homemade whipped cream.

My fourth attempt at making fudge. Getting better. First attempt resembled a pile of grit.

‎450g of demerara sugar, 150g of butter, 150ml of milk, 1 tin condensed milk, a capful of vanilla essence, handful of crushed pecan nuts, handful of raisins.

Waiting in for the engineer to come and fix my central heating, and thoughts turned to chocolate and photography! What more could a girl want??
