- Murano (Venice) glass candies.
- challenge Macro Mondays group, theme: Trinkets
Dimension of a candy: width 3.5 cm
- My daughter had really sweet tooth when she was young. (Glad her teeth did not suffer from it)
So when we paid a visit to Venice (Venezia) we bought her as well fitting souvenir a pair of Murano glass candies.
These sweets are made of Murano glass. They are carefully handmade one by one, choosing the brightest colors and the funniest motives, achieving a great level of realism.
This cloudy day was asking for something cheerful.
A good brownie can be a simple solution to a lot of things.
My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy your ice cream while it's on your plate.

I love your eyes, my dear
Their splendid sparkling fire
When suddenly you raise them so
To cast a swift embracing glance
Like lightning flashing in the sky
But there's a charm that is greater still
When my love's eyes are lowered
When all is fired by passion's kiss
And through the downcast lashes
I see the dull flame of desire
And through the downcast lashes
I see the dull flame of desire
On a very hot day this little Gold Finch came by & to my surprise drank some sweet nectar from the Hummingbird Feeder! Now where are the Hummingbirds?!
I recently saw the Netflix series Sweet Tooth and, while I'm not much into TV series, the first episode gave me a brilliant idea to build a new cabin in the woods.
And so here is the house of Gus, the half-deer "hybrid" child main character of the series, and of Pubba, his alleged father.
There are a lot of details and "part usage" that I have used in my previous builds and I enjoyed putting them all into this diorama.
Gus has the head of the faun from CMF series 15. From behind you can see the ears and a hint of horns, just like when Gus was growing up.
The diorama consists of 5 small shacks that can be joined together and create the shelter of Gus and Pubba.
In the background there are a series of trees of different colors and with different shapes. The whole build is placed on a base made mainly of dark tan wedge plates.
On the right a deer shyly appears, Gus thinks it's his mother, if you've seen the series you know what I'm talking about.

The asian hornet is sadly known as one of the reasons (among pollution and modern agriculture) why the population of the European honey bee has been in decline lately: it's an invasive species with almost no natural predators in Europe whose meal of choice is the bee.
However, given the option, instead of hunting bees and other smaller insects, the asian hornet rather goes for a candy (apples, grapes, figs etc.) in order to satisfy its sweet tooth...

Please, don't "award" my photo with copy and paste comments, gif's and other glittering self- or group-promoting stuff.
I recently started to dabble in macro photography, and I love it! All the little details that are so often overlooked, now magnified and captured.
This one here is a close-up of the marshmallows and candy pearls from the previous shot.
My first try on food photography. Please feel free to provide constructive criticism to help me improve.
Thank you for viewing. If you like please fav and leave a nice comment. Hope to see you here again. Have a wonderful day 😊
