Living Earth Foundation has been working in Iran since 2006, initially working within the framework of the Persian Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project, in which Shell and Repsol were key partners. Since January 2010 however, Living Earth has been working in Iran with the support of the European Commission (EC).
Living Earth recognises the importance of promoting cross-sector relationships in the region and is working with key Iranian and international stakeholders to provide a platform for dialogue to ensure that relevant local and regional partners experience positive impacts from industrial projects and are satisfied with the ways that issues are managed.

UNEP, through the Global Wastewater Initiative and the IWRM SIDS AIO project, will work with FAO to upscale efforts in promoting wastewater reuse for reforestation and agriculture on the Island of Santiago and Sao Vicente, Cabo Verde. To that effect a joint mission was organised from 24 to 29 April 2016. The objective of the meeting was to:
- Formulate UNEP-FAO Cabo Verde project document on wastewater reuse.
- Provide UNEP/GPA/IWRM AIO SIDS inputs to the meeting following up with key national intervening in the water and agriculture sector.

The Joint Declaration of International Organisations and Financial Institutions highlights their common resolve to “increase cooperation and coordination with the aim to work towards a higher level of efficiency and coherence in all aspects of development of inter-regional transport links; and focus political attention and investments on development of transport and ancillary support infrastructure to help drive trade and international road transport along the routes between Asia, Europe, Black Sea region, the Middle East and Africa; and expand existing technical assistance projects such as the IDB Technical Assistance Grant”.

Last weekend in Geneva there was a Meeting for promoting sustainable development (if translation is fair) which mixes ecology, recycling, ethical business and sharing.

Wazem is the Geneva comic artist who created this cool poster, check out his books on the web.
The medium is tough enough even to sculpt flooring. Slabs and patterned stone effects are easy to create.
