as the warmer weather of Spring arrives early September in Cape Town, everyone flocks to the beaches..here I saw this dad and his small daughter caught up in the turbulence of surfers, making their way into and out of the surf, enjoying their quality time together
As Rhiz had work today... I took Sebastian to the beach earlier this morning... as I usually do once every 2 weeks... to feed the seagulls with stale bread... :)
HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!

Boxing Day morning - a bit darker and cloudier. Very low tide so a lot of rocks visible that are usually well submerged.

Most of the cone flowers here have given way to the summer heat. Petals are dropping, cones are drooping over (sorta how I feel out in the humid hot summers of Arkansas). But found this lone cone in fairly good shape with the help of part day shade.

Find that happy place that relaxes your body and mind and just escape for awhile...breathe.
Her Lady Grace peacefully tucked away in her boat structure.
This image was captured by boat on the southern arm of the scenic Alouette River.
You can also capture this area by foot, but nothing compares to experiencing this life style by floating into the scene and becoming one with the peacefulness and beauty that 'surrounds' you.

Oh sweet mist i feel your fingers
On my skin, where they linger
I feel your sensual , soft caress
My defences ,you urgently undress
In the field, where i stand
Stroke me slowly with your hand
Take me between your greedy lips
Over my hardness, your tongue it slips
Until you swallow me, swallow me whole
Devour my heart, devour my soul
Bite me, scratch me, as you fall
Drain my sap , drain it all
In natures bed , where i am kissed
By the beauty of sweet mist

You had my heart now I want it back
I'm starting to see everything you lack
Boy you blew it
You put me through it
I wanna un un un un undo it
Today's theme of the Happy Caturday group is "old & new". The suggestion was to post two photos, one which symbolizes the past and another one for the future but I decided to put it all in one photo. So here is Tofu, the cat who represents the future, surrounded but some of the dear furry friends I had in the past. I still miss all of them. Life goes on, though, and maybe I will try to find another furry friend for Tofu this year. The final decision will depend very much on Cleo because she is old and I would only adopt another cat if I think that she is still able handle it. Happy Caturday !

At the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha, the Tropical Display Dome is a large lattice structure (geodesic) displaying plants from the tropics.
A pathway winds upwards through the dome building, wrapping around a central pond with water plants. This path leads visitors past a range of shrubs, climbers, epiphytes and small trees.
The dome provides a climate close to the natural growing conditions for plants that wouldn't normally grow in Brisbane.

TGIF! Right? Make sure you get to have some fun for the upcoming holiday. So let’s start the day with a beacon of light. What do you think?
I remember feeling a little uneasy as I walked back through the woods on this December evening well after the sun had disappeared below the horizon. I'd underestimated how long the walk would take and, unusually, I didn't have the dog with me - it would've been unfair to ask her to walk that far at her time of life - and that only added to my unease. I'll remember to bring a torch next time!
